The ocean had finally calmed.

Students, knights, and mages rushed around—tending to the injured, repairing damage, restoring order.

Lucifer sat alone on a cliff.

He blinked.

"It's the Heart of the Sea—my family's heirloom."

Lucifer: "Wasn't that a necklace?"

Mia: "It was. I modified it."

Lucifer: "So you downgraded it?"

Mia clenched her fists.

Mia: "...I'm trying very hard not to kill you."

She took a breath and continued.

Mia:

"It can save your life once."

"A lethal attack—blocked."

"Cooldown: 24 hours."

Lucifer finally showed interest.

Lucifer: "...Not bad."

He wore it.

A Dangerous Kind of Charm

For a brief second—

Mia froze.

Lucifer, under the moonlight, wearing the earring—

He looked... different.

Sharper. More dangerous.

And undeniably attractive.

Mia (thought): "When did he... look like that?"

Lucifer smirked.

Lucifer: "Did I just steal your heart?"

Mia snapped out of it.

Mia: "Don't be ridiculous."

Mia immediately turned away.

Mia: "I'm leaving."

Lucifer: "Wait."

Lucifer took a sip of his drink.

"...I know who betrayed your kingdom?"

Mia's eyes turned cold.

Mia: "Say their names."

Lucifer smiled.

Lucifer: "Watch."

Lucifer casually approached Mia's consorts.

And started being... annoying.

He delayed them while they worked. Interrupted them. Provoked them.

It didn't take long.

Consort: "You've got a death wish, don't you?"

Lucifer: "You're slow. Thought I'd wake you up."

Consort: "Fight us."

Lucifer: "All four of you."

They agreed.

A secluded area was chosen.

No witnesses.

Perfect.

Consort: "Even after fighting a dragon... you challenge us?"

Lucifer: "I don't need full strength to crush trash."

That was enough.

They attacked.

All at once.

Blades, magic, coordination—

Perfect teamwork.

They hit nothing.

Lucifer moved like a ghost.

Every strike missed.

Every spell failed.

Consort: "Stop dodging and fight!"

Lucifer yawned.

Lucifer: "Why fight when you can't even touch me?"

Their rage exploded.

Consort: "We'll kill you!"

Lucifer's smile faded.

Lucifer:

"...Like how you killed the palace lord?"

Truth Unveiled

Everything stopped.

Consort: "...What are you talking about?"

Lucifer: "Drop the act."

He stepped forward.

Lucifer:

"You made a deal with the Water Dragon."

"In exchange for power..."

"...you sold out your lord."

Silence.

Then—

Laughter.

Consort: "Even if that were true... where's your proof?"

Lucifer shrugged.

Lucifer: "You'll die anyway."

Consort: "Exactly."

Lucifer smirked.

Lucifer: "Mia. That's your cue."

Judgment

From the shadows—

Mia stepped forward.

Her eyes burned with fury.

Consort: "P-Princess... this is—"

Mia: "Silence."

Her voice was cold.

Mia:

"My father trusted you."

"And you betrayed him."

Consort: "It's a misunderstanding—!"

Mia: "No."

Her aura flared.

Mia: "This is vengeance."

Lucifer stretched lazily.

Lucifer: "I'll leave you to it."

And he walked away.

Aftermath

From the cliff above—

Lucifer watched the waves.

Drinking his milkshake.

Calm as ever.

Moments later—

Mia appeared beside him.

Quiet.

Lucifer: "Done?"

Mia: "...Yes."

Silence lingered.

Then she asked—

Mia: "How did you know?"

Lucifer: "I guessed."

Mia: "...You WHAT?"

Lucifer grinned.

Lucifer:

"They were the only ones who didn't rush to save the lord."

"No panic. No urgency."

"Just... calculation."

Mia: "...And the contract?"

Lucifer: "Bluff."

Mia stared at him.

Mia: "...You're insane."

Lucifer: "Efficient."

A Quiet Ending

Mia looked at the ocean.

Mia: "I thought revenge would feel... different."

Lucifer handed her his drink.

Lucifer: "Try this instead."

Mia hesitated... then took a sip.

Mia: "...Sweet."

Lucifer: "Better than revenge."

Lucifer smiled faintly.
