The Devil’s Reign:The first law of void
Chapter 31:The Beast without Chain
Name: Draven Kain
Title: Bloodline Berserker
Reputation: “The One Who Doesn’t stop"
First Encounter Scene — “The Smell of Blood”
The training grounds were loud.
Too loud.
Not with cheering—
But with impact.
BOOM
CRACK
SCREAM—
Lucifer stopped walking.
“…What is that?”
Chirin hovered closer.
“…That’s not sparring.”
Another body flew across the field.
Hit the wall.
Didn’t get up.
Lucifer’s eyes sharpened slightly.
“…Now that’s interesting.”
At the Center
A boy stood alone.
Surrounded by fallen students.
Breathing heavy.
Not tired—
excited.
Blood covered his arms.
Not all of it his.
A senior instructor shouted:
“STOP—THIS IS A TRAINING MATCH—”
Draven didn’t stop.
He moved again.
Fast.
Too fast.
Grabbed another opponent—
SLAMMED him into the ground.
Again.
Again.
Again—
Until—
Silence.
Lucifer Steps In
Lucifer walked forward slowly.
No rush.
No concern.
“…You’ll kill him.”
Draven froze.
Mid-motion.
Then slowly turned.
Eyes—
Red.
Not metaphorically.
Actually glowing.
“…And?”
Lucifer smiled faintly.
“…That’s my line.”
The air shifted.
Everyone backed away instinctively.
First Words
Draven dropped the unconscious student.
Stared at Lucifer.
Sniffed the air.
“…You smell strange.”
Lucifer raised an eyebrow.
“…You smell like a problem.”
A grin spread across Draven’s face.
Wide.
Unhinged.
“…Good.”
The Pressure
Without warning—
Draven stepped forward.
The ground cracked under his foot.
Pure physical force.
No technique.
No control.
Just power.
Lucifer didn’t move.
Didn’t flinch.
Just watched.
“…You’re not scared.”
Draven tilted his head.
Confused.
Then excited.
“…Why aren’t you scared?”
Lucifer chuckled softly.
“…Because you’re predictable.”
Clash Without Permission
Draven moved.
No signal.
No warning.
A punch—
Lucifer caught it.
BOOM—
Shockwave exploded outward.
Dust filled the air.
Students screamed.
The instructor panicked.
“STOP THIS—”
Neither listened.
Close Combat — Philosophy Clash
Draven pushed forward.
Pure force.
Overwhelming.
Lucifer slid back slightly.
Still smiling.
“…No control. No structure.”
He twisted—
Redirected the force.
Draven stumbled—
Then laughed.
“…YES.”
“THIS IS FUN.”
He attacked again.
Faster.
Wilder.
Lucifer dodged.
Barely.
“…You don’t think,” Lucifer said.
Draven grinned.
“…Thinking is slow.”
Lucifer smirked.
“…Losing is faster.”
Moment of Realization
Draven stopped suddenly.
Not tired.
Not hurt.
Just… staring.
“…You’re holding back.”
Lucifer didn’t deny it.
“…You’re not worth more.”
Silence.
Then—
Draven laughed.
Loud.
Unstable.
“…GOOD.”
He cracked his neck.
Bloodline power flared.
Aura erupted—
Wild.
Violent.
Unstable.
“…Then I’ll MAKE myself worth it.”
Interruption
A massive pressure dropped.
The principal.
Her voice cut through everything.
“Enough.”
Both stopped.
Instantly.
But for different reasons:
Lucifer → because he chose to
Draven → because his body was forced to
Aftermath
Draven wiped blood from his face.
Still smiling.
Still watching Lucifer.
“…You’re not like them.”
Lucifer turned away.
“…You’re not either.”
Draven laughed softly.
“…Good.”
A pause.
Then—
“…Next time, don’t hold back.”
Lucifer didn’t look back.
“…Next time—survive first.”
End Scene
As Lucifer walked away—
Chirin whispered:
“…He’s dangerous.”
Lucifer smiled faintly.
“…No.”
A pause.
“…He’s useful.”
Behind him—
Draven stood alone.
Watching.
Excited.
For the first time—
He wasn’t looking for prey.
He was looking for a fight worth remembering.
