The Devil’s Reign:The first law of void
Chapter 33:The Third Variable
The arena was still cracked from their clash.
Dust in the air. Blood on the ground.
Kael stood on one side.
Draven on the other.
Both breathing steady.
Both ready.
Round two—
Interruption
“…You’re both too loud.”
Silence.
Not because the voice was loud—
But because of who said it.
Lucifer stepped into the arena.
Hands in his pockets.
Half-lidded eyes.
Like he just woke up.
Chirin floated behind him, watching carefully.
“…I was trying to nap.”
Immediate Tension
Draven’s grin widened instantly.
“…You came.”
Kael’s eyes narrowed.
“…This isn’t your fight.”
Lucifer tilted his head.
“…It is now.”
He looked between them.
“…You’re both wasting time.”
That—
hit both of them.
Clash of Intent
Kael spoke first.
“Leave.”
Lucifer smiled faintly.
“Make me.”
Draven laughed.
“…YES.”
“No rules, right?”
Lucifer shrugged.
“…Never were.”
Three-Way Start
Draven moved first.
Straight at Lucifer.
Of course.
A punch aimed to crush—
Lucifer didn’t dodge.
He stepped inside it.
Grabbed Draven’s wrist—
Twisted—
Redirected—
BOOM—
Draven slammed into the ground.
Dust exploded.
Kael Joins
Kael was already moving.
No wasted motion.
Blade aimed at Lucifer’s blind spot.
Precise.
Perfect.
Lucifer tilted his head—
The blade missed his neck by a hair.
He didn’t even look.
“…Too predictable.”
Kael’s eyes sharpened.
“…You’re reading me?”
Lucifer smirked.
“…I’m reading both of you.”
Flow Begins
Draven came from behind—
Kael from the front—
Perfect pincer.
Lucifer moved.
Not fast—
But right.
A step forward—
Kael’s strike passed.
A lean sideways—
Draven’s punch missed.
Then—
Lucifer grabbed Kael’s wrist—
Pulled—
And forced Kael’s blade toward Draven.
CLANG—
Draven blocked.
Shockwave exploded.
The crowd gasped.
Realization
Kael stepped back instantly.
Eyes narrowing.
“…He’s using us.”
Draven laughed.
“…Good.”
Lucifer spread his arms slightly.
“…You finally noticed.”
Pressure Rises
This time—
They didn’t attack separately.
They moved together.
Kael controlled space.
Draven forced chaos.
Lucifer’s movement tightened.
For the first time—
He had to try.
CLANG—
Kael’s blade grazed his side.
BOOM—
Draven’s punch clipped his shoulder.
Lucifer slid back slightly.
Blood.
A thin line.
He touched it.
Looked at it.
Then smiled.
“…Better.”
Second Phase — Serious Shift
Chirin whispered:
“…They’re adapting.”
Lucifer exhaled slowly.
“…Good.”
He raised his sword properly.
For the first time.
The air shifted.
Kael noticed immediately.
“…His stance changed.”
Draven cracked his neck.
“…Finally.”
Coordinated Assault
Kael stepped in—
Precision strikes.
Targeting joints.
Limiting movement.
Draven followed—
Overwhelming force.
No escape routes.
Lucifer blocked—
dodged—
redirected—
but slower now.
Because this wasn’t one opponent.
It was two systems colliding.
Moment of Pressure
Kael cut low—
Draven struck high—
Lucifer twisted—
barely avoided both—
but lost balance for a fraction—
That was enough.
BOOM—
Draven’s hit landed.
Lucifer was sent sliding back.
Cracks forming under his feet.
Dust rising.
Silence.
Lucifer Laughs
He stood there.
Breathing slightly heavier.
Then—
he laughed.
“…This is fun.”
Kael frowned.
“…You’re enjoying this?”
Lucifer looked up.
Eyes sharper now.
“…I’ve been bored.”
Draven grinned wider.
“…GOOD.”
The Shift — Unstable Control
Something changed.
Subtle.
But real.
Lucifer’s movements became—
less human.
Less readable.
Less structured.
Chirin’s voice trembled slightly:
“…Lucifer… careful…”
He didn’t answer.
Third Phase — Chaos Control
Draven attacked—
Lucifer didn’t dodge—
He took the hit—
and used the momentum—
to spin—
Kael’s strike passed through empty air—
Lucifer appeared behind him—
Too fast.
Too wrong.
Kael barely blocked.
CLANG—
Shockwave.
Kael slid back.
Eyes widened.
“…What is this—”
Lucifer tilted his head.
“…Adaptation.”
Now Even Kael Is Late
Kael attacked again—
Perfect timing—
Perfect angle—
Lucifer moved before it happened.
Not prediction.
Not instinct.
Something else.
Kael’s blade missed.
Lucifer tapped his chest lightly.
“…You’re slow now.”
Draven’s Reaction
Draven laughed wildly.
“…YES.”
“THIS IS IT.”
He charged again—
full power—
no restraint—
Lucifer met him head-on.
BOOM—
The collision shook the entire arena.
Neither moved.
For a second—
pure force vs pure control.
Then—
Lucifer shifted—
and Draven stumbled.
Final Cut (Before It Goes Too Far)
“ENOUGH.”
The principal’s aura crushed everything.
All three froze instantly.
Pressure absolute.
Silence.
Aftermath
Kael stood still.
Breathing controlled.
But his eyes—
locked on Lucifer.
“…You changed mid-fight.”
Draven grinned.
Bleeding.
Excited.
“…Do it again.”
Lucifer lowered his sword.
Relaxed again.
Like nothing happened.
“…Maybe.”
End Scene
As he walked away—
Chirin whispered:
“…That wasn’t normal.”
Lucifer smiled faintly.
“…I know.”
Behind him—
Kael spoke quietly:
“…Next time, I’ll account for that.”
Draven added:
“…Next time, don’t stop me.”
Lucifer didn’t turn.
“…Next time—”
A pause.
His voice dropped slightly.
“…try not to die.”
