Chapter 2110: First Time In A Truck

Chapter 2110: First Time In A Truck

As Gojo stood in the hall facing the still living generals and scientists, Arad was on the other side, setting off on his own mission. He approached a massive, six-wheeled truck and climbed in. The general he had scared before for medical assistance was sitting inside.

As he closed the door, they could hear the orcs’ screaming in the distance, and even see a few of them suddenly starting to dangle from light poles with their intestines. The orcs guarding the truck were shaking and the general beside Arad had already started sweating, "What is going on?"

As she mumbled, Arad had already shifted back to his human face by her side. "Drive."

She looked to the side, saw his face, and pissed herself. Luckily, and as embarrassing as it was for her, this time, she was smart and wore diapers before coming to meet Arad when he asked for her. She gulped and then tapped the driver on the shoulder. "Drive; we have to go."

The driver wasn’t going to disobey an order from a general, and so he stepped on the gas, and the truck roared forward as the guards followed it in patrol cars.

"You don’t have to be scared." Arad spoke, and she shat herself from shock. She already figured out that Arad was never an orc, and that he was probably just as horrifying as whatever was now in the camp.

"The one in the camp is my older brother, and he is pissed off because your presence in our world basically tortured a kid who was under his care." He crossed his arms. "If you think killing millions on the battlefield, and now several tens of thousands in such a gruesome way, is too much for a single child, then you’re out of luck. We’re dragons, not orcs."

She gulped, "A child, we never saw any child... no, we didn’t meet any alien beside the Super-class..." She would’ve pissed herself again if she had any left in her as she had just realized it. The second Super-alien looked a bit smaller than the others.

"The second Super-Alien you faced, the one with the large, one-eyed moon. That is the kid you hurt; she can feel hunger, and your kind has so much hunger that it torments her." He looked at her, "The first Super-alien, and the creature she rode, those were of my wives. The last Super-alien, and the one now in your encampment, is my older brother."

"If... that kid’s pain is the main problem, and since we didn’t kill any of your kind... is there a possible way for us to negotiate and retreat?" She finally gathered the courage to speak, and Arad nodded.

"That is what I’m here for. First, we need to close that rift, since with it open, that kid is still suffering. Every second makes it harder for my brother to reason peace." He looked at her, and she paled. "Each second, each cry, each grunt, he hears them all, and he’ll make your kind pay dearly for it all. So, better act quickly before you rack up a huge debt."

"The rift... the World Gateway can only be opened and closed by special Magitech Architects. They are far away in our capitals, and that is so we won’t abandon missions before the higher-up’s approval."

Even though she ranked quite high up in the army, she almost had no power in other fields of their society, and she certainly was nowhere near the top. She was a nobody, a replaceable pawn for those holding true power.

"So, you can’t order them to come and close the gate." He sighed, and she froze for a second.

"If I asked for that, they’d ignore me. If I asked a second time, they’d demote me. If I insisted, they’d execute me. Unless we get at least several generals together, they won’t consider the situation serious enough to even read about."

As she spoke those words, she also realised that she had just made herself worthless to the monster at her side. She had no use, and thus, could be disposed of immediately. She started shaking and was on the verge of crying, but Arad just tapped her on the head. "I’m not going to kill you. We’re going to find those people and get them to close the gate as quickly as we can."

CLICK! Then, from behind Arad’s head, a gun emerged, pointing right at his skull. It was coming out of the seat’s headrest, and it looked like an automated rifle.

"One move and I’ll blow your head off. General, we can stop in a safe place." As the driver spoke, Arad was unfazed, and if she could, the general would’ve twisted the driver’s head with her bare hands.

"Do you want us all to die!?" She growled, and the driver gave her a glare. "I don’t understand what is so threatening about this alien. If we shoot his head, he’ll die like the rest of them."

"How about I show you?" Arad tilted his head, sniffed the air, and then smiled. "Next time, following your general’s orders blindly, coach."

ZON! ZON! In the blink of an eye, Arad teleported away and came back. When the driver saw what Arad brought with him, he shat himself on the spot, almost crashing the truck. His wife and seven newborn kids were on Arad’s lap, confused about how they got here. A second ago, they were thousands of miles away in their house.

"Gurnol? How..." The driver’s wife gasped, looked around in confusion, and then threw her husband a glance. "Is this a test for some new tech? I told you not to test it on me... I don’t like those risky new experimental techs."

He couldn’t reply out of fear, but Arad did speak. "Ah, it isn’t like that." He tapped the orc woman sitting on his lap on the back. "I’m what you call an alien, an extremely powerful one, and this entire world of yours is about to change. He didn’t want to believe I was that strong, so I brought you here as a threat."

When the woman started to realise what was going on, she almost shat herself. "What..."

"Don’t worry, I’m not going to harm him. I need him to drive this horseless, steel carriage. But if he doesn’t comply, I’ll have you pay for him." He smiled, "And for how I found you, I just followed his smell. I have a very good nose."

The general by Arad’s side sneakily opened the window.

"Would... mind letting me go?" The driver’s wife looked horrified for a second, but Arad immediately nodded. "Yeah, but take this with you." He pulled some fruits and bread and gave them to her, "Those should last you a bit, but keep them a secret from other orcs. If the negotiation goes well, food won’t be an issue for your people anymore."

Arad then teleported the woman and her kids back to her house and gave the driver a look. "So, understand why your general is so scared? I’m not someone you can fight."

"What... do you want?" The driver mumbled, and Arad smiled.

"Peace and stability. I don’t want your people to feel hunger anymore, since you’re honestly a pain to deal with, and the universe has bigger problems to deal with. Many have agreed to erase your kind from existence, but I understand that you’re only fighting for survival, and I’ll help you survive." Arad crossed his arms, and they could see his muscles tensing.

"It’s either your kind changes and works with me, or gets erased from existence. All of you would be killed, burned to ash, your planets destroyed and digested, and your worlds reused to create new ones." He then looked forward with a sharp glare. "But for now, the goal is to close the rift. The more that kid suffers, the less of a chance I’ve got to help you."
