The dragon's harem
Chapter 2336: The Queen of the Evil Dragons
As the Archangel’s fist rushed toward Ignis’s chest, the white flames sparked brightly, and a larger army flashed from their tongues, punching the Archangel in the face, and a bare foot with sharp black claws emerged from the black flames, kicking the Archangel down. But even after that, the Archangel’s expression never changed as she coldly flicked her fingers, sending a swarm of chains past the two limbs to catch Ignis, but Agnar jumped in, grabbed Ignis by the head using his jaw, and teleported away using Yuwaku’s void.
The Archangel looked at Agnar disappear, and then shifted her attention to the two women who had just shown up. Kossuth and Tiamat, both of them, glared at each other instead of her. "Yo, been a while, Sofia." Kossuth smiled, and Sofia smiled. "Been a while indeed, Aunty."
The Archangel didn’t give them a moment of respite as her chains flew at them in the blink of an eye. But Sofia, Tiamat, wasn’t going to play any games. She turned around, all of her muscles snapping in less than a fraction of a second, and half of the ninth layer just evaporated as more than fifty bursts of elemental energy washed over everything.
The shockwave was about to hit Agnar, but something else snatched him away, an even bigger black jaguar who carried him in her jaws the same way a lioness would carry her pup, dragging him to the other side of the layer before the destruction of Sofia’s attack washed everything into nothing.
"Don’t destroy hell!" Lucifer shouted, and Sofia wasn’t going to listen. She was already putting her open hand on the Archangel’s face, pushing her down faster than light with a large grin on her face.
[Elemental Burst] A second burst shook all of hell, and the Archangel was left bleeding on the ground. Sofia landed a few meters away from the Archangel on the molten stone and smiled as Kossuth and Lucifer landed nearby. Kossuth was looking around with an amazed expression, and Lucifer looked horrified.
"You almost destroyed it!" He growled, and Sofia waved her hand at him. "This bitch here isn’t Arad; she’s hell’s will piloting what it thinks Arad wants. If I’m to stop someone, how am I supposed to do it without hurting them?" She lifted her foot and tapped the molten ground. "Don’t attack her angelic body; attack hell itself, as that’s her true ego."
"Yeah, but you can’t do that. Where will the sinners and devils go? Do you know how long it’ll take for Amaterasu to fix hell?" Kossuth shook her head in dejection, and Sofia smiled as she took a step toward the fallen Archangel, and her feet burned with black flames.
"I don’t have my heaven in Hell; Hell is built around my heaven." She smiled. "Hell, want to gamble? Will you enslave me first, or will I rupture your entire existence before you do?"
Lucifer growled. "I’m calling Amaterasu right now. Let’s just hold her down and wait until Alice comes with Hell’s target." As he looked down, the fallen Archangel was healed, and she had already gotten back to flying, looking more like a machine than a living being, with her emotionless face and rampaging magic.
"I said!" Sofia had already disappeared. "BEHAVE YOURSELF!" Her fist was a whole inch deep into the Archangel’s face, crushing her nose into her brain with enough force to shatter space itself. But that wasn’t the end, as after the first punch came an endless barrage of punches and kicks, all of which held enough force to rattle Hell itself.
It didn’t matter how much divine magic hell was able to convert; it didn’t matter how much it was able to bend the rules; and it didn’t matter if it had Arad’s authority or not. Dragons, by their nature, commanded their surroundings and imposed their will on the environment, and hell wasn’t going to be able to influence the Queen of Evil Dragons.
"Aren’t you taking things backward? Hell." She looked down at the Archangel as she pinned her down, stepping on her face. "You’re hurting those that Arad cares about. Do you honestly think he won’t tear you a new asshole for that? But I guess you’re the evil one out of the three." She bent down and looked at her with a grin. "Do you have the survival instincts of a rock?"
"Nya!" By the Archangel’s side, Maharaja appeared, squatting down and looking at the Archangel’s face. "The kids are safe. Can’t say much about this one-nya."
"Selena, we haven’t dealt with Hell in a while. I don’t remember the last time my house argued with me." Sofia cracked her neck, and Maharaja nodded. "True-nya, it’s not every day that we have a problem with the scenery."
Lucifer and Kossuth approached and looked at the Archangel as well. "Who’s going to fix all of this destruction?" Lucifer asked, and Kossuth shook her head. "Don’t look at me. I didn’t blast everything to smithereens. Sofia will fix it." She pointed at her, and Sofia smiled.
"Well, we just need a bit of rocks, volcanoes, and maybe a river of lava or two. This place isn’t that complex." Then, using her elemental energies, she started flooding the destroyed half of the Ninth Layer with earth and fire, trying to rebuild it.
The Archangel twitched, and Selena immediately swatted her down. "Don’t move-Nya, I’ll bite-ya-nya." Her tail waved, her pupils widened into circles, and her ears bent back as her claws extended.
But at that moment, Asmodeus finally returned with the Baron that Hell wanted, and Hell’s chains immediately captured the screaming devil and snatched him away, sending him flying into the depths of hell and putting an end to his operations.
And the moment Hell achieved its goal, its hold on Arad faded away, and his dream became lucid again. Seeing the shift in the Archangel’s eyes, Maharaja jumped back. "You might want to take your foot off her face-Nya, or she’ll bite it off-nya."
The Archangel’s arms moved, one hand grabbed Sofia’s ankle, and the other punched her calf, shattering her shin bone on the spot.
"Huh?" Sofia looked down, and what she saw was an endless pit of darkness extending into infinity. Arad was back on the helm, and that was dangerous since, unlike Hell, he was in a whole other dimension when it came to fighting.
Sofia jumped up, Maharaja swung her claws, and Lucifer kicked, but Arad almost moved just as fast as they did. His mouth opened wide, and flames gushed out in pure magic form, rushing up toward Tiamat as a wave of chains exploded toward Maharaja to block her claws, and Lucifer’s kick was met with the Archangel’s elbow to the shin, shattering the bone.
[Elemental Expansion:...] Darkness and chains rushed out of the Archangel’s body, but before anything could happen, she froze in place, her eyes rolled back, and she fell down, puking as her entire body shook.
Inside her mind, Asmodeus and Doma had already figured out that Arad was there, and their entire fight shifted. They weren’t facing each other directly anymore, but were trying to do their best not to be consumed by him.
There was one problem with Arad currently, and the problem was the same thing that allowed him to interact with everything while hibernating. To him, he was sleeping, dreaming, and people tend to be crazy in their dreams. Arad won’t usually start a fight with Asmodeus or Tiamat, because he knows such a fight is a stupid thing to cause. But if it’s in a dream, why not scrap a bit?
How and when did he even make it into the Head Priestess’s head? The two were now trying to find that out and put him back to sleep before Hell could exploit him again.
