Chapter 168 - pancakes?

Then I brought her to the kitchen and showed her around. I pointed at a table.

"That table is where Amy and I rest after long training sessions."

"We drink fruit juice there while talking about the training."

She looked around and nodded, then went to open the refrigerator. She looked at all the fruit juice inside and, of course, tried to get the orange juice.

But I grabbed the apple juice instead and put it in her hand.

"If you drink only orange juice, you’ll become a cute orange as well."

She puffed out her cheeks, so I poked one with my finger.

"Today, try apple juice for a change."

She glared at me because I had poked her adorable cheek.

I just raised my hands.

"Okay, okay, sorry. I can’t resist when you puff out your cheeks. I always feel like poking them."

I laughed lightly.

She looked at the apple juice, took a glass, and poured herself a drink. Then she slowly drank it, enjoying the taste.

I grabbed the apple juice bottle and poured myself a glass as well.

Then I sat beside her at the table and asked,

"I saw you use your new element on your ice today. What does it do?"

Luna thought for a moment before answering.

"I can augment myself with Lunar Energy. It increases my speed, regeneration, mana, stamina, and all of those things."

"And it increases the lethality of my attacks."

"More importantly, it’s easy to control my attacks when I add Lunar Energy."

I smiled.

"Hmm... your energy, huh?"

She just gave me an annoyed look.

"Of course it’s my energy. Humph."

I nodded and asked,

"Hmm... let’s see. Are you hungry? If you want, I can make you something, or I can let the chef make something for you."

Her eyes brightened.

"Really? Then go and make something by yourself."

I looked at her awkwardly.

"Hey, I was just joking. I’m too lazy to go and cook now."

She didn’t listen. She pointed toward the kitchen and said,

"You promised me, so go and make something."

I looked at her in bewilderment.

"When did I promise you...?"

She said matter-of-factly,

"Just now."

My eyes twitched.

"Hey, I just asked you politely!"

She gave me a deaf ear and looked at me expectantly.

I sighed and got up. It was a dead end if I argued with her.

I went to the kitchen and looked around, thinking about what I should make.

As for ingredients, there was never a shortage of them in the kitchen. I even personally had all kinds of ingredients in my Space Storage.

Then the head chef saw me and came toward me.

"Young Master?"

I looked at her, and my eyes lit up.

"Hello. It’s been a while."

She nodded.

"It certainly has, Young Master. You look well. You’ve changed a little."

I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah. I awakened my physique, and my appearance changed a little."

She nodded and asked,

"So, what can I do for you, Young Master?"

I just waved a hand.

"No, nothing. I just came to make something by myself. I hope it won’t interrupt anything."

She nodded.

"Of course, Young Master. Do as you please. If you need any assistance, please tell me."

I nodded and thought about what to make. We had already eaten lunch, so I didn’t want to make anything too heavy.

So I used teleportation to return to Luna’s side.

She was sitting in the chair, waiting for me, and as soon as I teleported there, she got surprised and almost fell.

I laughed at that.

"Are pancakes okay for you?"

She thought for a moment and nodded with bright eyes.

"Hmm, that’s good."

I nodded and teleported back.

I heard her complain behind me.

"Don’t use your teleport everywhere..."

I chuckled and went back to the kitchen.

I got the ingredients and made the pancake batter, then grabbed a pan.

I put the pan on the stove and turned on the fire.

I used my Perception to determine the optimal heat for making pancakes.

Then I added some butter to the pan and let it heat up a little before pouring in the pancake batter.

Using my Perception, I made sure everything was cooked perfectly, and soon, I had made a pancake tower.

Then I added another cube of butter on top of the tower, poured pancake syrup over it, and added a few slices of strawberries on top.

That finished it.

The head chef looked at it and praised me.

"As always, your cooking skills have improved once again."

I nodded with a smile and took the pancake plate in one hand before heading back to Luna.

But then I saw Amy there.

My eyes narrowed.

"Amy, what are you doing here?"

She looked from me to Luna and then saw my pancake plate. A sly smile appeared on her face.

"Oh, little brother, you don’t even ask me if I need something. I always have to ask you to make something for me, but..."

She looked at us and gave me a meaningful smile.

I just sighed and ignored her.

Elena just looked at that and chuckled while covering her mouth.

I went in front of Luna and gave her the pancake plate.

As soon as I put it in front of her, her eyes lit up. She looked at me, then at the pancakes again.

"Wow, they look amazing."

I gave her a knife and fork.

Amy and Elena looked beside Luna and saw the pancakes as well.

They both gulped.

Amy was the first to speak.

"Hey, Gray! That’s favoritism. Give us pancakes as well!"

She looked at Elena for support.

Elena saw her look and sighed before joining Amy.

I just looked at Luna.

She ignored her big sister as well and cut the pancakes in half, revealing the steam coming from them.

Then she cut off a small piece and ate it with the fork.

She put the pancake into her mouth, closed her eyes, and slowly enjoyed the taste before opening them again.

"It’s really delicious, Gray."

Then she began eating more with a happy smile.

Amy saw that and smiled as well, but the next instant, she grabbed me and practically pushed me toward the kitchen.

"Make some for us too, unless..."

She paused, brainstorming for something.

I looked at her and asked,

"Unless what?"

Her eyes lit up.

"Ah, yes! Unless we’re going to eat Luna’s portion."

Elena’s eyes lit up as well at that suggestion.

Both pairs of eyes moved toward Luna’s plate.

Luna’s eyes widened, and she immediately protected her plate like a hungry wolf had come to steal it.

The sight was so comical that I laughed.

Luna’s reaction made Amy and Elena laugh as well.

"Okay, okay. Don’t worry. We’re not going to steal your food. It’s just a treat for that brat."

Luna slowly let go of her plate.

But as soon as she did, Elena moved like lightning and grabbed the plate.

Luna’s eyes widened.

"Sister...!!"

Elena just smiled at that.

I used a sneaky portal to steal the plate back from Elena and returned it to Luna. Then I raised my hand into the air.

"Okay, okay. I’ll make some for you."

Amy nodded with smug satisfaction.

"That’s more like it, brat."

Then I asked both of them,

"What kind of pancakes do you want? Normal or chocolate?"

Amy’s eyes lit up.

"Chocolate, of course!"

Elena thought for a moment before saying,

"Normal, like Luna’s."

I nodded and immediately teleported into the kitchen.

There wasn’t much batter left, so I made a new batch and separated it into two portions.

I kept one as normal.

For the other one, I added chocolate chips and cocoa powder before mixing it.

After letting the batter sit for a few minutes, I heated up the pans.

Two pans this time.

I added butter to both of them and started making the pancakes.

I made a normal pancake tower and decorated it with some toppings.

Then I made a chocolate pancake tower as well. I added whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a few slices of strawberries on top.

After everything was done, I had three plates ready.

I made the chocolate pancake plate a little bigger because it was mine, and I already knew Luna was going to ask for some.

I used my hands to carry Amy and Elena’s plates, while I used Darkness to create another hand to grab my plate.

Then I headed toward the table.

Elena and Amy, who were talking with Luna, saw me bringing their food, and their eyes lit up at the sight of it.

I placed each plate in front of them.

Luna look at her with longing for more as she saw the amy’s and Elena’s plates.

so i went her side and showed her my plate full of pancakes and said. "cut a half for you"

Her eyes widened and look at the pancakes.
