The Fantastic Little Farmer
Chapter 195: Let Go of That Girl
Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Let Go of That Girl
Asura frowned. "I tried to talk some sense into you nicely, and this is how you treat me?"
"Letting you drag me back without a fight? Is that your idea of a good attitude?" Qi Luo shot back. "Asura, I have nothing against you, so don’t force me to kill you!"
A flash of disappointment crossed Asura’s eyes. "You’re such a disappointment! Do you really think your wings are fully grown now? Without Celestial Mandate, you are nothing!"
"Go back and tell him—HISS!"
Before Qi Luo could finish her sentence, Asura flicked his wrist. The gun slipped from her grasp; it seemed her wrist had been struck by a hidden weapon like a flying needle.
Watching from the sidelines, Zhang Yun saw things clearly. Qi Luo had no direct grudge against this Asura, so unless pushed into a corner, she wouldn’t actually fire. Asura had banked on exactly that!
With her gun disarmed, Qi Luo had already lost the upper hand. Asura had managed to intercept her earlier, proving he was already fast. Now, he exploded forward and landed a vicious kick right on her!
Even just watching from the side, Zhang Yun could feel the ferocity of that strike. Standing at a towering two meters, Asura’s raw strength went without saying—even Zhang Yun himself wouldn’t be able to tank that hit.
Like a kite with a snapped string, Qi Luo was immediately sent flying several meters away, crashing heavily into the grass.
With a casual flick of his foot, Asura kicked the dropped gun up into his hand, then approached her step by step.
A trace of blood trickled from the corner of Qi Luo’s mouth. She knew Asura’s strength all too well. Unarmed, she was absolutely no match for him. She had to escape immediately, or she never would!
She flipped up, feinting a high kick aimed straight at Asura’s head. However, the moment she was airborne, she abruptly changed direction and vaulted toward the nearby bushes instead!
WHAM!
Taking a swift step forward, Asura delivered a brutal kick to her waist, sending the airborne Qi Luo flying once again!
He strode over and stomped heavily on her stomach—the exact spot he had just kicked. Under the crushing pressure, Qi Luo couldn’t help but let out a scream of agony.
"Asura! I’ve always treated you like an older brother. Let me go..." Forced to bow her head under the circumstances, Qi Luo swallowed her pride and begged for mercy.
"Older brother?" Asura sneered with contempt. "You stupid bitch! I tossed you a few compliments, and you actually thought I was your lapdog? Older brother? I’m only interested in your body!"
Disbelief filled Qi Luo’s eyes. "No, the Asura I know isn’t like this!"
Asura let out a dismissive scoff. "Have we ever actually hung out? The Asura you know is nothing more than a facade—I deliberately acted humble and protective every time we met just to keep up appearances. If Indisputable weren’t covering for you, I would’ve screwed you a long time ago!"
The mouthful of blood Qi Luo had been suppressing spurted out.
Her mind was completely reeling!
The man she thought cared for her like an older brother was actually a predator hiding behind a kind mask, lusting after her body!
Meanwhile, the aloof boss, Indisputable, who seemingly disregarded his subordinates’ lives, was actually the one protecting her!
"Why... are you telling me... this?" Despite her despair, Qi Luo’s instincts quickly kicked in.
If he simply intended to drag her back, roughing her up meant nothing. But after spilling all this, how could they ever face each other again? And if he knew the boss was protecting her, wasn’t he afraid of invoking Indisputable’s wrath?
Asura revealed a sinister grin. "To let you die with clarity, of course!
"He asked me to bring you back because he actually wanted to protect you. He was afraid the Liu family would vent their anger and retaliate against you. But since you colluded with the target, insisted on leaving Celestial Mandate, refused to listen to reason, and even shot at me... I accidentally killed you in self-defense. Hmm! That version of the story sounds plausible enough, right?
"You’re going to die in the end anyway. Letting me have some fun before you go means you get to die feeling good; surely that’s better than me having my way with your corpse, right?
"Hah! Now that I think about it, I’m actually being merciful. Telling you the truth just makes you angry and hateful. If I hadn’t told you, wouldn’t you feel even more despair when the honest lapdog and kind older brother you thought you knew took you by force?
"Don’t worry. While doing it in a park is thrilling, I want to take my time. I’ll take you back and clean you up first. Then again, if you serve me well and behave, keeping you locked up in my basement instead of silencing you isn’t entirely off the table..."
Qi Luo trembled with rage, never expecting Asura to be such a monster. However, his vile character didn’t diminish his power. Those two kicks had just proven that he was leagues above her. She had absolutely no way to turn the tables!
"Let the girl go!"
The righteous shout rang out, sounding like heavenly music to Qi Luo’s ears!
It was Zhang Yun!
Hearing his voice instantly put her mostly at ease. Even if Zhang Yun’s personal combat power fell short of Asura’s, his freakish ruthlessness—combined with a gun—meant dealing with Asura wouldn’t be an issue.
She thought in exasperation, "But more importantly... Bro, what kind of cliché line is that?! Sneaking up and silently stabbing people is your style! Wouldn’t it be better to just take Asura out right now?"
Asura turned his head and saw Zhang Yun stepping out from behind the bushes, his foot still firmly planted on Qi Luo.
There was a reason Zhang Yun had waited until now to show himself. For one, he didn’t know much about this Celestial Mandate assassin organization. If Qi Luo could have forced Asura to back off on her own, he naturally wouldn’t have gotten involved.
Once Asura threw the flying needles, a relentless barrage of attacks followed, knocking Qi Luo down repeatedly. It wasn’t that Zhang Yun deliberately wanted her to suffer; it all happened too fast for him to intervene.
It was only when Asura started running his mouth, reveling in the thrill of villainous monologuing, that Zhang Yun finally completed his preparations. He had entered the Peach Blossom Spring Space and retrieved his Weapon.
He had gone back on his word!
Not long ago, he had resolved not to use the Blood Demon Blade, yet here he was, whipping it out again. There was no other reason than the fact that this was a rare opportunity!
This Asura was a ruthless character, his strength no weaker than the bearded man from earlier, and his vitality was even more robust. Draining him would probably be worth absorbing several ordinary experts.
"Watch out for his flying needles!"
BANG!
The moment Asura turned his head, Qi Luo hastily blurted out the crucial warning. While it was true she had let her guard down around Asura, his flying needles were genuinely formidable—so minuscule they were nearly impossible to dodge.
Hearing the line, "Let the girl go," Asura had assumed some foolish, delusional teenager was trying to play the hero and save the damsel in distress. In his eyes, someone like that could be swatted away with a single slap!
Instead, the very second he turned his head and Qi Luo shouted her warning, Zhang Yun pulled the trigger!
Zhang Yun hadn’t even fired a gun when he was surrounded by four members of the Donghuang Sect. The fact that he was shooting directly at Asura showed he was taking this opponent very seriously.
Tall and brawny, Asura made for an easy target. The kinetic impact of the gunshot flipped him right over, sending him crashing onto the grass.
The moment he fired, Zhang Yun darted forward with blinding speed, arriving beside the two of them in an instant.
"Go to hell!"
As a professional assassin, Asura had merely been careless and underestimated his opponent a moment ago. Now, even while downed, he immediately unleashed a killing strike!
He fired his gun with one hand and threw flying needles with the other, aiming straight at the charging Zhang Yun!
At this distance, Asura barely needed to aim; a blind shot would hit its mark. Given his caliber of skill, he could effortlessly target the heart with his gun while aiming the flying needles right at Zhang Yun’s eyeballs!
At the critical moment, Qi Luo suddenly thrust her hand out and grabbed the wrist of Asura’s needle-throwing hand! His gun-wielding hand was on the other side, completely out of her reach.
