Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Come Fight Me One-on-One

Fu Yudie intervened because she genuinely felt Gao Tie wasn’t worthy of fighting Zhang Yun.

However, the people from Gao Village hadn’t seen what happened earlier. Their interpretation was entirely different!

"Yo! You actually need a girl to protect you?"

"How embarrassing! Why don’t you go hide under a woman’s skirt while you’re at it? Have you no shame?"

Although Gao Tie had been forced back a few steps by Fu Yudie’s kick, he wasn’t injured. He grinned widely. "You look like a pretty boy, but who knew you actually were one? If you need a woman’s protection, don’t act so arrogant. Otherwise, you’ll be crying to your daddy later about me bullying you!"

He stepped forward again and pointed at Fu Yudie. "This is men’s business, so women can scram! Otherwise, don’t blame me for smacking the shit out of you!"

The people from Gao Village erupted into roaring laughter, making Gao Tie even more smug.

Gao Jun sneered from the sidelines. He kept his eyes locked on Zhang Youcai, silently pressuring him.

Xu Jin, Zhao Ye, and Ma Yuming stepped forward simultaneously, pointing at Gao Tie. "Watch your damn mouth, or we’ll beat your teeth in!"

Gao Jun scoffed coldly. "You want to fight four against one? You want to see who has more men?" He raised a hand.

Behind him, the dozens of men from Gao Village immediately raised their shovels, hoes, and other weapons, shouting in unison.

"See that? Take a good look at whose turf you’re on! We could drown you if we each spat once! We could bury you all if we each took one swing with a hoe!"

On the surface, Gao Jun was directing these words at Xu Jin and his group. However, his eyes remained glued to Zhang Youcai. It was a thinly veiled threat meant to serve as a warning!

Ma Yuming yelled back, "You want to compare numbers, huh? You bunch of country bumpkins, do you even know who we are? We’re all municipal Sanda champions! We each have our own martial arts school in the city! Across our schools, we have a total of eight hundred students! And you think you’re worthy of fighting our master?"

He was an actual Sanda champion, so his imposing aura was genuine. He was also highly adaptable to the situation. Seeing that the opposing side had both superior numbers and weapons, he instantly inflated everyone’s status to "champion." The claim of "four martial arts schools and eight hundred students" made even Fu Yudie and the others sweat drop in embarrassment.

The people of Gao Village were momentarily stunned by this speech, but they didn’t completely buy it.

Conversely, the thugs in the back who were still trying to put out the fire felt a chill run down their spines. No wonder those four could take on all eighteen of them earlier—they were all Sanda champions!

They figured that losing to Sanda champions with thousands of disciples was an honorable defeat! Plus, the fact that they weren’t heavily injured proved they were pretty tough themselves!

Yes... They made up their minds right then and there to exaggerate Ma Yuming’s boasts even further! It wasn’t their fault they lost; the enemy was simply too strong.

"Your grandma! Sanda champions? Eight hundred students? Why don’t you just say you have ten thousand disciples!"

"Keep bragging! Why don’t you just say you can summon a hundred million elite troops!"

"Eh? I’m not joking about that one! Hehe, I really *can* summon a hundred million ’elite troops’!"

Gao Tie was a hulking brute of a man. His appearance alone was intimidating, and his strength far exceeded that of an average person. He didn’t take Ma Yuming or his friends seriously at all.

Now, he pointed right at their noses. "Cut the crap! Tell your bullshit master to fight me one-on-one! You think you can scare me by hiring a few actors?"

Zhang Yun spoke calmly. "Step aside."

"Yes!" Though Xu Jin and the others felt that dealing with trash like this was a job for them, their master wanted to show off. They couldn’t stand in the way and steal his spotlight!

Zhang Youcai, on the other hand, grew anxious. He hurriedly pleaded, "Show mercy, show mercy! Please don’t cause a fatal accident..."

The massive motorcycle explosion from earlier hadn’t even been dealt with yet. If someone actually died or got severely hurt, the consequences would be far more disastrous!

Gao Jun thought Zhang Youcai was begging him. He laughed smugly. "Mr. Zhang! We came here out of the goodness of our hearts to help, but this pretty boy you dragged in from god-knows-where is acting way too cocky! We can show mercy, but he still needs to be taught a lesson!"

"Gao Tie! Don’t injure the pretty boy! Just make him cry..."

"You got it!" Gao Tie agreed loudly, prompting excited cheers and jeers from the Gao Village mob behind him.

Zhang Yun took two steps forward, motioning for Xu Jin, Fu Yudie, and the others to back away.

"Show mercy..." Zhang Youcai ignored Gao Jun, continuing to beg Zhang Yun not to escalate things.

Gao Tie grabbed at Zhang Yun’s shoulder, hooking his leg behind Zhang Yun’s in an attempt to pin him to the ground. "Lie down for me—"

However, before he could finish his sentence, the words caught in his throat!

Panic suddenly seized his body as he was hoisted completely into the air! His heart leaped into his throat, and the sudden inversion left him dizzy and disoriented.

With a single fluid motion, Zhang Yun lifted Gao Tie off the ground. He originally intended to throw him into the mob from Gao Village. However, seeing them all wielding hoes and shovels, he realized that throwing Gao Tie in that direction might result in his head or neck impaling a shovel.

Zhang Youcai’s relentless pleas for mercy prompted Zhang Yun to pivot, tossing Gao Tie far away into the distance!

"Scram!"

Along with Zhang Yun’s explosive shout, the airborne Gao Tie felt as if he had been hit by an actual high-speed train... He flew through the air, screaming miserably! The sheer terror in his voice sent chills down everyone’s spines.

Gao Jun, standing nearby, was dumbfounded!

The dozens of men from Gao Village were absolutely terrified!

Gao Tie was a massive guy. If he didn’t weigh two hundred and twenty pounds, he was at least two hundred. And he had just been lifted up like that?

Being lifted was one thing, but he was actually tossed away like a ragdoll?

If he smashed onto the concrete floor like that, wouldn’t his neck break? Wouldn’t his spine snap?

Did he really have to be so ruthless?! They might have brought hoes, but it wasn’t like they were actually going to smash them into someone’s head...

The eighteen thugs in the back, who had completely forgotten about the fire, were trembling uncontrollably! This exact scenario was what they had feared after seeing Zhang Yun fight earlier!

They cursed Gao Tie in their minds for having a death wish. Did he think he was heavier than a motorcycle? Tossing him was child’s play! And yet, he had the audacity to challenge the man to a duel?

It all happened in a flash. In the split second when everyone was too shocked to breathe, their eyes followed Gao Tie’s body as it traced an arc through the air...

BANG!

Gao Tie crashed straight into a pile of sand against the wall, sinking into it entirely. With his head completely buried, his frantic screams were muffled. Only his two feet stuck out, kicking and struggling wildly.

Everyone let out a long sigh of relief. This way, he wouldn’t die or suffer any grievous injuries.

But that relief was instantly replaced by deep terror! He had been thrown at least ten meters away! To toss a grown man that far—and with such precise aim—was terrifying. If Zhang Yun’s aim had been just a little off, Gao Tie would have slammed into the concrete floor...

The men from Gao Village slowly lowered their shovels and hoes, not daring to make a peep. Many of them were already considering backing down.

Zhang Yun swept his gaze over them. "My disciple showed mercy just now. Otherwise, she would’ve kicked that brute straight into your mob! Your shovels would’ve sliced his neck right off!"

Everyone shuddered just imagining the scene. While they weren’t sure if that girl could actually kick Gao Tie that hard, they knew without a doubt that Zhang Yun could!

Zhang Youcai, who had just breathed a sigh of relief, suddenly snapped to his senses. He hurriedly shouted at the Gao Village group, "Y-you guys better go dig him out... before he suffocates!"

The mob jolted as if waking from a dream! His entire head was buried in the sand, which wasn’t breathable at all. If the fall didn’t kill him, suffocating surely would!
