The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard
Chapter 2838: Hah, So Realistic!
"Although the Carp Dragon Realm is the Middle Grade Realm of the Great Land Immortal, it is extremely special. It’s very difficult to surpass it, often requiring one’s own insights along with special opportunities, so it’s not something that can be rushed."
Carson Flores naturally understood this and shrugged his shoulders, "Hmm, just muddle along, since I’m already used to the situation you just mentioned."
Carson smiled and waved at Snow Zane, "Good luck, senior. Waiting for your good news."
The next morning, Othric Whitmore visited.
Carson still had no plans to meet him; regardless of his intentions, he was here to entertain Kaelithra Nixon from Grand Void Mountain, not him.
In the eyes of the other person, he was probably just an insignificant follower, so why would he care about him?
Even if he mentioned him politely, it was only to save face for Kaelithra Nixon, not because he really valued him.
He didn’t need such politeness, so there was no need to make an acquaintance, forcing everyone to say some insincere polite words, which would make everyone uncomfortable.
Which man, when pursuing a woman, would like the man that comes along with her?
If looking at each other disgusts them, it’s better not to meet.
Kaelithra Nixon left with a resistant look under Carson’s smiling gaze, and Carson didn’t go out, just lay on the lounge chair under the pavilion in the courtyard, closing his eyes to leisurely meditate.
"Is Fellow Nixon here? I am Jaxen Roth from Nine Thunder Gate, requesting to meet."
At some point, a clear voice interrupted Carson’s meditation, and Carson sat up from the lounge chair.
Visiting Kaelithra Nixon?
Carson hesitated. He obviously heard it, and it would be inappropriate not to respond.
Carson walked to the door, opened it, and saw a handsome young man with sword-like eyebrows and starry eyes standing at the doorway, smiling, though his smile froze for a moment upon seeing who opened the door.
"Are you a Disciple of Grand Void Mountain?"
Carson laughed, "I am not a Disciple of Grand Void Mountain, just a friend of Fairy Nixon. Are you looking for Fairy Nixon?"
The young man cupped his fists and said, "Jaxen Roth from Nine Thunder Gate, please notify her."
Carson shrugged with a smile, "Fellow Roth, you are not very timely. Early in the morning, Othric Whitmore from Mysterious Void Sect invited Fairy Nixon to an outing."
Jaxen Roth’s face slightly changed, "Othric Whitmore?"
Carson nodded, "Yes."
Jaxen Roth’s face looked slightly displeased, "Did Fairy Nixon say when she’ll be back?"
Carson shook his head, "She didn’t say. It depends on the host’s arrangements, so she might stay longer."
Jaxen Roth frowned, hesitating for two seconds, then looked at Carson’s face, "Are you a friend of Fairy Nixon?"
Carson observed Jaxen Roth’s slightly suspicious and scrutinizing eyes and knew what he was thinking, smiled, "Just an ordinary friend, coincidentally traveling together."
After a pause and seeing Jaxen Roth’s still unsure expression, he added, "I’m married."
Jaxen Roth’s expression instantly became somewhat awkward, but he relaxed visibly, laughing heartily, "What you said, haha. If you’re free now, it’s almost noon. If you’re not busy, how about having a drink together?"
Carson quickly declined, feeling rather speechless internally.
Judging by Jaxen Roth’s behavior, he probably isn’t very familiar with or acquainted with Kaelithra Nixon, right?
Was he rushing to meet her, perhaps another suitor?
Or maybe just because Kaelithra Nixon is the most beloved little Disciple of True Sage Grand Void?
Jaxen Roth left slightly embarrassed, and Carson returned to the pavilion. However, he didn’t get to relax, as several groups of visitors followed, all coming to see Kaelithra Nixon. Some declared their family backgrounds, some invoked the names of their elders, and some invited him to meals, which opened Carson’s eyes.
Is this the treatment a Grand Void Mountain Disciple receives?
These people might not all be suitors of Kaelithra Nixon; not everyone visiting must have been trying to pursue her. However, they all had the air of wanting to forge connections.
Heh, how realistic!
In the afternoon, the previously closed door suddenly opened, and Kaelithra Nixon appeared at the door. Behind her was a sturdy, upright man whose smile was as bright as sunshine, slightly dazzling.
Othric Whitmore?
Kaelithra Nixon glanced and found Carson sleeping on the lounge chair in the pavilion. Her eyes widened, and she instinctively ground her teeth.
She had been socializing outside awkwardly, yet this guy was lounging inside so comfortably!
It was infuriating!
Although Kaelithra Nixon knew it had nothing to do with Carson, looking at Carson’s leisurely and comfortable posture, she couldn’t help but be angry!
"Thank you, Whitmore, for keeping me company today. My uncle’s birthday banquet is approaching, and I presume you must be busy as well. So please go ahead and tend to your matters. Don’t worry about me, I’ll handle my own arrangements."
Othric Whitmore laughed heartily, "My dad ordered that all other matters don’t concern me, and my only task is to entertain my Junior Sister well. So please don’t send me away, or else my dad will say I didn’t entertain you properly and will break my legs..."
