"If Brother Whitmore isn’t too busy, why not come in for a cup of tea before you go? You’ve worked hard today."

Kaelithra Nixon tried to usher him out without success; Othric Whitmore lingered at the door, so she had no choice but to invite him in for tea.

Othric Whitmore was polite with his words, yet his feet swiftly stepped inside.

Seeing this, Kaelithra Nixon simply led him towards the pavilion: "The weather is pleasant, let’s sit in the pavilion."

Carson Flores couldn’t stay lying down anymore, got up swiftly from the lounge chair, and suggested: "Fairy Nixon, Brother Whitmore, you chat."

Kaelithra Nixon looked at Carson Flores, who was about to slip away, increasingly annoyed.

You know you don’t want to stir up trouble, but do you have to distance yourself so cleanly?

In terms of strength and background, do you need to fear him?

Even though Kaelithra Nixon was annoyed, she didn’t stop him, knowing Carson Flores had a wife; perhaps he didn’t want trouble or was doing it for his wife?

Kaelithra Nixon stayed silent, but Othric Whitmore spoke up.

"Mr. Flores, don’t rush off, have tea with us, let’s chat. I was a bit negligent this morning, I hope you can forgive me."

With Othric Whitmore inviting him, Carson Flores couldn’t very well refuse—after all, he was the host.

How can a guest refuse the host’s invitation?

And give the host the cold shoulder on his own turf?

Carson Flores reluctantly turned back, cupped his hands and said: "I am Carson Flores, from the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain. Nice to meet you, Brother Whitmore."

Othric Whitmore laughed: "I heard about you this morning from Nixon. I heard Senior Grand Void greatly appreciates you, surely you’re a talent beyond compare."

After exchanging pleasantries, the three sat in the pavilion, where Kaelithra Nixon prepared the tea.

Othric Whitmore examined Carson Flores: "Mr. Flores, are you here in Bitter Sea Immortal Domain visiting friends or on business?"

Carson Flores smiled: "Just passing by, visiting Senior Grand Void to thank him for his previous help. I won’t stay long; I’ll be heading to the Crimson Immortal Domain soon to meet my family."

Othric Whitmore blinked: "Your family is in the Crimson Immortal Domain?"

"My wife."

Carson Flores once again, without hesitation, mentioned his wife, making it clear he was already married: "She went to the Crimson Immortal Domain first; I’m going there to meet her."

Upon hearing this, Othric Whitmore relaxed and spoke more enthusiastically: "You both have really traveled far."

Kaelithra Nixon shot Carson Flores a side-eye; she knew exactly what he was thinking.

Carson Flores pretended not to notice her expression. I don’t want trouble; haven’t you seen how many people have come to find you in just half a day?

It’s not that I can’t deal with it, it’s just that there’s no need!

Let’s stay clear!

Carson Flores clarified his stance, making the atmosphere more lively; they indulged in cheerful banter and idle praise, and after finishing their tea, Othric Whitmore finally rose to leave.

Kaelithra Nixon escorted him out, then turned back with a huff: "You managed to dodge really fast!"

Carson Flores chuckled: "You probably don’t know how many people came looking for you this morning; if I didn’t make my status clear, who knows how many would see me as an adversary, openly or covertly trying to compete with me, to prove they’re stronger and more accomplished."

Carson Flores recounted the morning’s events, and Kaelithra Nixon appeared rather helpless: "That’s exactly why I dislike these social interactions. Even though it’s annoying, I still have to be polite, because I represent Grand Void Mountain, and those who come here usually have some connection..."

Carson Flores responded without sympathy: "It’s alright, practice makes habit. Furthermore, they are the ones pursuing you, trying to curry favor, not the other way around; otherwise, you’d feel worse."

Kaelithra Nixon pondered: "Maybe I’ll go away for a few days?"

Carson Flores laughed: "Where to?"

Kaelithra Nixon replied: "Othric Whitmore took me around today and mentioned some interesting stories. Apparently, there’s an Artifact Refining competition happening in Profound White Valley nearby, with many people going to watch. Should we also go have a look? Since there’s nothing here, let’s entertain ourselves for a while, and come back when the birthday celebration starts."

Carson Flores shrugged indifferently: "Up to you, since I’m here to accompany you. Wherever you say, that’s where we’ll go; I have no objections."

Kaelithra Nixon was happy that Carson Flores agreed and nodded: "As long as I’m not here, I don’t have to bother with socializing. My brother tasked me with visiting for the birthday, which doesn’t include entertaining these people. We at Grand Void Mountain seek nothing from them, there’s no need for such interactions."

Carson Flores smiled and gave a thumbs-up: "That’s the spirit!"

Kaelithra Nixon eyed Carson Flores, lightly pouting: "Mainly because you’re too relaxed and comfortable; comparing myself to you makes me quite upset, so I might as well escape..."

Carson Flores blinked: "Artifact Refining competition, there must be many Artifact Refining Masters there. Speaking of which, I do have some items I need an Artifact Refining Master to work on!"
