Chapter 2981: Everyone Sure Changes Their Attitude Fast!

Carson Flores saw the effect had been achieved, so he stopped talking nonsense: "Captain, if there’s nothing else, I’ll return to the camp."

Theron Coffey went around the table and said warmly, "You’ve gone through many hardships and finally returned safely, go take a good rest first, we’ll talk about whatever needs to be talked about later."

"Yes, Captain!"

Carson Flores turned and left, while Theron Coffey smiled and escorted Carson to the door before stopping.

Watching Carson’s figure completely disappear, the smile on Theron Coffey’s face vanished instantly, replaced by a heavy expression.

It seems I have to quickly inform Cyras Roth and the others about this, making them behave and stop provoking Carson Flores. Otherwise, they’ll end up suffering the consequences.

Your backing may be the Army Commander, but his backing is the Hall Master of the War God Mansion!

What do you have to fight with him?

Dying won’t change a thing!

After some thought, Theron Coffey stood up and intended to go out, feeling that this couldn’t be entrusted to others, he had to go personally.

Just as he was about to step out, Valdrin Gross and Dorian Roth stepped into the office.

"Boss, we saw Carson return, did he successfully get promoted?"

"That kid got promoted quickly, if he doesn’t do it early... hey, it’ll be tough to deal with him later..."

"What nonsense are you talking?"

Theron Coffey sternly scolded, "Everyone is comrades fighting side by side, can’t you think anything good of others? You should learn more from him, instead of idle gossip, why not spend time on cultivation and improve your strength a bit more!"

Theron Coffey paused and snorted, "Don’t say anything that doesn’t benefit unity again, if I hear it again, severe punishment awaits. Now, get out!"

Valdrin Gross and Dorian Roth came in gleefully, only to be rudely driven out of the headquarters, utterly confused.

The two were scolded tremendously, and even after walking quite a bit, hadn’t come to their senses.

"What’s up with the captain, did he take drugs or something? We barely said anything, and he berated us non-stop, wasn’t what we said exactly what he was thinking?"

Valdrin Gross rubbed his chin: "Seems like something’s changed, a change unknown to us."

Dorian Roth frowned and said, "Wasn’t he just going out to break through? Even if he successfully breaks through, isn’t he just a Middle Grade? Does that warrant such a quick change in attitude?"

Valdrin Gross shook his head sternly, "It’s surely not this matter."

Dorian Roth asked in confusion, "Then what else could be the issue?"

Valdrin Gross shook his head, "I don’t know, but I’m certain the captain got intimidated, he no longer dares to deal with Carson, hence his urgent reprimand."

Dorian Roth snorted, "He’s the one who wanted to deal with him, now he’s the one backing off..."

Valdrin Gross smiled bitterly, "He’s our boss, after all. Hey, look over there."

The two turned their heads and saw Theron Coffey hurriedly leaving the military camp in the distance.

Valdrin Gross and Dorian Roth exchanged glances, understanding the meaning in each other’s eyes.

After seeing Carson, the captain’s attitude suddenly changed, he reprimanded them, and left in a hurry, clearly something significant had happened.

Seems like we’ll have to steer clear of Carson Flores in the future!

As they headed back towards the camp, they encountered someone coming their way, and upon looking up, their expressions subtly changed.

Carson Flores!

"Captain Flores!"

"Captain Flores!"

Valdrin Gross and Dorian Roth instinctively greeted, their tones unusually soft and enthusiastic.

Carson Flores paused, glanced at the two whose expressions were a bit awkward, and his lips curled up slightly.

Did my conversation with Theron Coffey have such a good effect?

"Captain Gross, Captain Roth, long time no see."

Valdrin Gross beamed, "Indeed, previously when Captain Flores led the Third Squad, it was quite impressive, letting us feel gratified, from now on our Ninth Battalion’s reputation will depend on the Third Squad."

Carson Flores modestly replied, "You’re too kind, I just caught them off guard, next time it won’t be so easy."

Dorian Roth smiled and said apologetically, "Captain Flores is too humble. In the future on the battlefield, we might need your support, if there were any offenses in the past, please be lenient."

Carson Flores laughed, "Captain Roth, you’re too polite, we’re all comrades, supporting each other is the right thing to do."

Valdrin Gross stepped aside, smiling, "Captain Flores, where are you headed?"

Carson Flores responded, "There’s some new supplies for Exchange of the Third Squad, I’m going to pick them up."

Valdrin Gross reminded, "The captain just went out, he’s not around."

Carson Flores gave an ’oh’ and smiled, "Then I’ll wait for the captain to return."

Valdrin Gross blinked and smiled, "No need to wait for the captain, we can take them first and fill out the paperwork later, we’re all family in the Ninth Battalion, not like those people in the Military Supply Office, where they keep giving us the runaround. Come, I’ll accompany you to collect them, I’ve done this many times."
