The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2999 This Kid Is Really Infuriating

  • Next Chapter

After a small gathering, Carson Flores took Shirley Miller back to the tent, gave a simple explanation, and then left the camp.

This time and place was obviously not suitable for whispering sweet nothings or mutual affection.

After bidding farewell to Lorvian Randall, Carson headed to the Dragon Mountain Sect’s resting place.

Floating Cloud and a group of high-ranking members of the Dragon Mountain Sect were discussing their next actions when they suddenly saw Carson appear, and were pleasantly surprised.

After a brief exchange, Floating Cloud grew even more pleased.

This disciple of his had made great strides!

Not only had he been promoted to Middle Grade Great Land Initial Immortal in a short time, but he had also become a hero on the battlefield, carving out his own space in the War God Mansion, where the strong gathered like clouds, and no longer needed to fear the Myriad Immortals Palace’s bounty.

He was not only living well himself, but was even starting to help Dragon Mountain Sect.

Floating Cloud felt very gratified.

Carson informed them of the situation here entirely, and after some reminders, left the Dragon Mountain Sect.

Immediately after, he went to Ice Snow Castle and met Lilianna Moses.

Lilianna’s gaze was quite complicated upon seeing Carson.

After all, Carson had played tricks on her several times back then, leaving her quite resentful, given that Carson had once said he would make her his maid to make the bed and fluff the pillows, spanking her if she disobeyed!

"This time you’re meeting me, it’s not another Incarnation, is it?"

Carson chuckled, "Times have changed. Even if Lord Moses wanted to take care of me, it wouldn’t be that easy. Naturally, there’s no need to send an Incarnation for that."

Lilianna stared at Carson in surprise, "You reached Superior Grade Great Land Primordial Immortal?"

Carson calmly replied, "Middle Grade, but my combat power is enough to rival the Superior Grade Peak."

Lilianna widened her eyes in shock. This guy could actually have cross-grade combat power?

"If I’m not mistaken, you are a wanted criminal of the Myriad Immortals Palace..."

Carson pointed to the badge on his chest, "I’m now an officer of the War God Mansion, a recognized meritorious person of the Immortal Demon War, under the protection of the Hall Master. Who would dare to defy the Hall Master’s authority and target me, let alone kill me at will?"

Lilianna looked at the "arrogant" Carson. She knew it was a good thing, but she was still incredibly annoyed!

This guy, his appearance is so punchable!

In the past, she could still threaten him somewhat, but now he was completely unafraid of her.

She couldn’t do anything to him anymore!

This guy, truly infuriating!

"Where’s my sister?"

Carson smiled and said, "I’ll tell you some good news. Not only did Senior Zane fully recover, but her strength has greatly increased, and she’s regained her youth. She’s a stunning beauty now, even more beautiful than Lord Moses!"

Lilianna was delighted to hear the first part, but her smile froze a bit at the last statement.

"You cheeky boy, is this how you speak to a senior while being a junior?"

Carson chuckled softly, keeping silent, but that smile revealed so much.

This guy never considered her a senior!

She might even suspect he’s thinking about "the maid" thing in his heart!

Lilianna gritted her teeth, "Where’s my sister now?"

Carson replied with a smile, "In a safe place. When there’s a chance, I’ll arrange for you to meet."

Before entering the Ethereal Pagoda, Carson had informed Snow Zane about Lilianna’s arrival, asking whether she wanted to meet, but Snow Zane preferred not to meet for the moment, though she did ask Carson to help Lilianna and Ice Snow Castle as much as he could, to which Carson readily agreed.

Lilianna looked at him skeptically, but she had no choice against Carson.

Today’s Carson was different from the past and could now speak to her on equal terms without any fear.

Even if she wanted to take out her frustration on Carson, it was no longer feasible.

After some customary reminders, Carson bid farewell and went to the Myriad Immortals Palace’s location.

Standing at the entrance, Carson scanned the interior and coldly said, "Among the personnel from the Myriad Immortals Palace who came this time, there is someone named Spencer Steele. Send word for her to meet me."

The guard glanced at the badge on Carson’s chest and cautiously asked, "May I ask who you are?"

Carson answered in a cold voice, "Small team leader of the Ninth Battalion, First Legion, Carson Flores, here by order of the Squad Captain to find someone."

Squad Captain?

That was an officer commanding over ten thousand immortals, and above that would be the Army Commander!

The guard’s expression changed abruptly. He quickly said, "Please wait; I’ll go call them."

Carson gave a cold "hmm," stood with his hands behind his back, and remained silent.

Although being a small team leader also meant being an officer, and these newcomers might not dare to offend him, borrowing the title of Squad Captain was certainly more effective.

It was easy to imagine that anyone capable of being a Squad Captain of a Ten Thousand People Team at the War God Mansion had considerable power, status, or background.

These people came from afar, most likely as reserves, and might end up serving under them in the future.

Seeing the guard hurriedly fetching someone, Carson couldn’t help but smile to himself. Borrowing a title was indeed effective.

Even if Theron Coffey knew about this, he probably wouldn’t mind, right?
