Chapter 3000 Sudden Realization, Blessing in Disguise

Spencer Steele was quickly brought out, and not far behind her was a familiar face to Carson Flores.

Maedryn Cobb.

Spencer caught sight of Carson, her eyes suddenly brightened, but the next moment, she pressed her lips together, her expression returning to calm waters, her gaze steady.

Maedryn also saw Carson, and his steps came to a halt.

He had a good relationship with Spencer, and upon hearing an officer from the First Legion was looking for her, he felt a bit concerned. Instinctively, he followed to see what was happening, thinking that if anything went wrong, he would know whom to ask for help.

He looked at Carson, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Despite having never met Carson, he felt oddly familiar upon seeing him.

What’s going on?

Where is this sense of familiarity coming from?

Carson also noticed the perplexed Maedryn, his heart amused. Was he wondering why Carson seemed so familiar?

Although Carson had altered his face back when he visited Immortal Gathering Island, making it quite different, his eyes and body shape hadn’t changed much.

Maedryn was strong, his sense for subtle details was naturally very accurate; perhaps he was already suspicious.

Carson didn’t mind being recognized by Maedryn, as these were different times now.

Carson retracted his gaze and focused on Spencer Steele in front, calmly asking, "Are you Spencer Steele?"

Spencer nodded, "Yes."

Carson turned his body, "Come with me, someone wants to see you."

Spencer crisply agreed, "Alright!"

The guards at the Myriad Immortals Palace did not obstruct them; after all, Carson had already shown his identity, if there’s something to address, they could deal with it later.

In reality, these strong individuals recruited from various Immortal Domains weren’t even considered reserve soldiers at this point. Emotionally, they were somewhat hesitant facing these current officers, not daring to offend them.

No matter how strong or outstanding you are, you haven’t truly experienced the Immortal Demon Battlefield. Can you really act arrogant before seasoned soldiers, officers?

Maedryn observed Carson’s back, his pupils suddenly contracting!

In an instant, he recognized him as the man who saved him under the Abyss and asked him to bring a message to Spencer.

Back then, he didn’t have this face. Who exactly was he?

Now he’s an officer on the Immortal Demon Battlefield, what’s his relationship with Spencer?

He had tried to probe Spencer subtly, but she never let anything slip. Yet, when discussing this man, Spencer’s demeanor was entirely different from her usual self.

Could this man be Spencer’s lover?

Just as Maedryn was about to turn and leave, a wanted notice sprang to his mind—the man on it looked just like him.

Alarmed, Maedryn turned to ask the guard, "Did that officer report his identity?"

The guard responded, "First Legion, Ninth Battalion, team leader Carson Flores."

Carson Flores!

It really was him!

A wanted man by the Myriad Immortals Palace, and now a War God Mansion officer, boldly appearing in front of all these powerful figures, with such an arrogant attitude.

Maedryn immediately recalled discussions about Carson on Immortal Gathering Island, especially the Abyssal Sect guy who later mysteriously died at Carson’s hands. Now thinking about it, everything became crystal clear.

Maedryn then remembered the old West Prison incident; Spencer claimed to have seen a shadow and went to track it, likely just an excuse to escape danger, and he survived only because he followed Spencer.

Perhaps back under the Abyss of Immortal Gathering Island, Carson spared him because of Maedryn’s good relation with Spencer.

Maedryn felt a strange emotion rising; he was always kept in the dark, yet luck had been on his side.

After pondering for a moment, Maedryn said nothing more and turned to leave.

Now belonging to the War God Mansion, as an officer, he was no longer who he used to be. Perhaps not even the Domain Master could easily target him now.

He decided to act as if he knew nothing about this.

...

Carson led Spencer away from the Myriad Immortals Palace station and stopped at a secluded corner. He turned around, showing a gentle smile.

Spencer’s face lit up with a bright smile, though her eyes inexplicably reddened, and her voice slightly trembled.

"Master!"

Carson laughed, "Spencer, it’s been decades, how have things been at Myriad Immortals Palace?"

Spencer stepped forward, hugging Carson tightly, tears streaming down her face.

"Master, I missed you so much!"

Carson reached out to ruffle Spencer’s hair, laughing, "You’re all grown up now, don’t go crying like that."

Spencer bashfully straightened herself from Carson’s embrace, shyly saying, "I couldn’t help it for a moment. Had it not been for your insistence on staying at Myriad Immortals Palace, I’d have gone to Crimson Immortal Domain to find you by now..."
