The Fluffballs I Fed Were SSS-Rank Beastmen
Chapter 226: So What If He’s a Picky Eater? She Spoils Him Anyway!
Chapter 226: Chapter 226: So What If He’s a Picky Eater? She Spoils Him Anyway!
Silver Shuttle and Hoder looked at the cans taking up almost half the kitchen, stacked higher than Hoder himself—at least two meters tall. Neither of them knew how the petite Liang He had managed to stack them up there.
"Liang He, did you stay up all night just making cans?" Was this workload a bit too massive?
"I heard that this time we’ll mostly be operating at sea. I wasn’t sure if Cedriel and Lanton would be used to eating seafood, so I prepared a bit extra."
Ever since she discovered that Cedriel and Lanton were slightly picky eaters, Liang He had paid extra attention to it. She didn’t hold the belief that if a child was a picky eater, they had to be forcefully corrected. As long as they didn’t skip meals entirely and got enough proper nutrition, it was completely normal to dislike certain foods. Just like her, there were things she didn’t like to eat.
"You’re spoiling them too much..."
Silver Shuttle suddenly felt a bit envious of the Mojin King Tiger and the Canglan Hunting Eagle. When he was young and utterly despised the various weird-tasting nutrient solutions, why was there no one like Liang He to spoil him?
Sniffle.
"Not really. When we cook for ourselves, we also avoid foods we don’t like or don’t want to eat. Technically, that counts as being picky too. We can’t have double standards, right?"
Hearing Liang He put it that way, Silver Shuttle thought it actually made quite a bit of sense.
"Are you planning to take all these to the Skalan Star?" It would probably take a ton of effort just to move them.
"No, the ones I’m taking have already been sent to the Main Service Area in advance. I asked Brother Hao to transport them to the private plane."
These ones in the kitchen were prepared by Liang He for the fluffy ones staying behind at home. She never played favorites.
"I’ll have to trouble you guys while I’m away."
As the saying goes, a mother’s heart is always with her traveling children. In this case, the roles were reversed; Liang He was the one traveling far, and she was extremely worried about the fluffy ones at home. Even though she knew that within the reserve, with Hoder, Silver Li, and the others guarding the service area, the likelihood of problems arising was slim, the incident with the Iron-eating Beast still left her with lingering fear.
"Little He, don’t worry. I’ll be watching over things here; nothing else will go wrong." Silver Feather had also come downstairs at this time, specifically to see Liang He off.
"Mhm, I’ll leave it in your hands then."
Perhaps feeling that she was being a bit too naggy, Liang He gave them a gentle smile, turned around, and boarded the aircraft, with the Mojin King Tiger following closely behind. The Canglan Hunting Eagle chose to follow the aircraft in the sky, heading toward the Main Service Area.
"I’ll be back as soon as I can. Take good care of yourselves!"
Looking at the fluffy ones, Silver Feather, and the others lined up at the dormitory door—even the Iron-eating Beast had come out—Liang He couldn’t resist calling out one final goodbye. By the time Hoder piloted the aircraft and successfully delivered her and the Mojin King Tiger to the Main Service Area, the Canglan Hunting Eagle swooped down from the sky, regrouping with them.
"Brother Hao, we’re not late, are we?" Seeing that everyone seemed to be waiting for her, Liang He didn’t have time to check the clock and asked Huo An, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"No, your timing is perfect." Huo An smiled at Liang He to reassure her.
The time they had agreed upon yesterday was ten in the morning. Liang He had timed it perfectly—neither early nor late.
"The cans you sent over have already been loaded, and your luggage is on board as well. Hurry up and get on."
Smoothly boarding the plane, Liang He was surprised to discover that the pilots of this private flight were actually old acquaintances.
"Aren’t you..."
If she remembered correctly, they were the pilots of the private plane that had previously taken her and Hoder to Star D139 to treat Kuang Ye. Moreover, when they were suddenly attacked along the way, it was Hoder who had bailed them out.
"It’s us!"
"Miss Liang He, it is a pleasure to serve you again!"
Seeing that Liang He recognized them, the two pilots were equally thrilled. The last time they took Liang He to Star D139, she wasn’t as renowned as she was now, and they were just greenhorn pilots flying private planes. Now, things were different for both Liang He and themselves. Compared to before, they had made tremendous progress!
"Hello. I’ll be troubling you again this time."
Recalling the previous incident, Liang He didn’t think there was any problem with letting them pilot the private plane again. It was just that their enthusiastic greeting made her cringe slightly in embarrassment.
After a brief chat, at President Lucas’s urging, Liang He headed to the passenger cabin.
"This private plane seems a bit different?"
Compared to the last one, this plane was much larger. The interior facilities were more comprehensive, and the space was incredibly roomy. Even the Mojin King Tiger and the Canglan Hunting Eagle wouldn’t feel cramped staying here; they could even jog or take short flights inside. It felt more like the standard of a luxury private jet back on the Blue Star.
"Haha, I am the president of the Animal Protection Association, after all, and Huo An is the director of the key nature reserve. Add you into the mix, and this level of treatment isn’t excessive at all."
Not to mention the presence of Federation Marshal Cedriel and First Commander Lanton. Even if they were still in their Evolutionary Stage, the Federation wouldn’t dare slight them, regardless of the reason. With all these factors combined, it naturally resulted in this current configuration.
"Those two pilots you just ran into are the most outstanding rookies selected this year. However, they’re only co-pilots; the main pilot is still our most experienced one."
Three pilots—one veteran leading two rookies—was enough to prove the Federation’s high regard for this trip. However, this was also because their trip to the Skalan Star was primarily to save someone. The reason was not only justifiable but also highly urgent. Thus, it was no surprise they received special treatment.
"I see." Educated by President Lucas, Liang He nodded as if she half-understood, then quickly tossed the information to the back of her mind.
Flying to the Skalan Star on a private plane was faster than a Starship, but since the Skalan Star was actually much further away than the Greenfield Star, it would still take two days and one night at top speed to arrive. For this reason, Liang He had specially prepared quite a few pre-made meals. Coupled with the fully equipped facilities on this private plane, she didn’t have to worry about wronging her stomach.
"Huh?"
Just as Liang He was about to take some snacks and fruits out of her backpack to share with everyone, she suddenly noticed Little Black curled up inside her bag. Ever since they returned from the Greenfield Star, Little Black frequently disappeared from sight. Liang He just assumed he went into hibernation, but she never expected him to choose her backpack as his hibernation spot.
"What’s this?"
Hearing Liang He’s surprised voice, President Lucas immediately came over out of curiosity. He then saw her pull a black "rope" out of the backpack and skillfully coil it around her wrist.
"This is Little Black. He was probably hibernating in my bag, and I accidentally brought him along."
Since the private plane had already been flying for a while, sending Little Black back was highly unlikely. Since she had already brought Cedriel and Lanton anyway, she didn’t mind having one more tag along. Besides, with Little Black hanging on her wrist, he looked just like a bracelet if one didn’t pay close attention. He wouldn’t affect anyone else.
"He certainly doesn’t look like an ordinary animal."
President Lucas had always been engaged in animal rescue work and had seen countless animals, but he had never seen such a strange "snake." Its entire body was pitch-black yet shimmered with iridescent light, and its scales were completely different from those of typical snakes. President Lucas couldn’t help but lean in curiously, wanting to observe it more closely.
However, the moment he drew near, a pair of dark, piercing eyes instantly froze him in his tracks.
