Chapter 1225: Chapter 833: Will of the Night Watcher (Part 3)
"Boom————!!!!"
The massive body of the rift breaker exploded from the inside out.
After all, it was a destruction body imbued with space rules, which were unstable due to the reason of its destruction.
It was precisely this power that could cause such changes in the rift, achieving the effect of allowing more Void Creatures to emerge.
The terrifying shockwave tore nearby low level Void Creatures to pieces and violently threw Old Jack and Eira away, heavily crashing them to the ground.
Old Jack spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, his chest collapsed in a part, and the Warrior’s Sword was flung from his hand, pinning near the violently flickering spatial rift.
Eira directly passed out on the spot, her breath weak.
The explosion of the void’s impact on the Spirit was unparalleled.
At this moment, the entries on their bodies had long shown indications of Spirit damage from the Void.
Morg had already been completely torn apart during the rift breaker’s energy disruption burst, his massive tree form scorched and shattered as if struck by lightning, scattered all over the ground.
The roots turned to dust.
The only two remaining, exterminated the first Level Ten monster.
The cost was the instant demise of two comrades, Bran and Morg.
At the moment of victory, only despair’s dead silence and the blood of comrades permeated.
Old Jack struggled, attempting to stand, his bones groaning under the unbearable weight.
He fumbled to pick up his sword, his vision a blur.
He wanted to drag back the unconscious Eira...
However, not only was the void’s rift unaffected, instead, the explosion expanded it even further.
The violently flickering, seemingly enraged spatial rift again emitted tearing waves.
"Screech—Screech—Screech!"
Like the triple tone of death, without the slightest pause, three identical massive twisted forms emanating an aura no less terrifying than the previous rift breaker emerged like hell’s watch dogs, stepping out from the depths of the still wailing rift.
They were more complete and menacing than the previous rift breaker, the blood-red triangle bodies coldly locking onto the two collapsed humans and the shattered battlefield.
Old Jack looked at the unconscious Eira before him, then glanced at the distant comrades’ shredded bodies and burning fragments of roots, and finally, at the three gigantic figures representing destruction, coldly gazing down upon them.
Despair, like icy tides, completely engulfed him.
Even the power of anger seemed drained.
"Ha... Ha..." He spluttered out a mouthful of blood foam laced with visceral fragments, staring at the three slowly encroaching shadows of death, struggling, using his last sliver of strength, to grasp Eira’s unconscious arm, attempting to drag her behind him... even if it might be meaningless.
A somber yet unyielding smile appeared on his blood-stained face.
"Hold the position... we... hold it..." He murmured, his voice weak yet infused with an iron-like will of defiance.
In his final sight, there remained only the looming, lifted ominous purple-glowing gigantic scythe outline, and those three suffocating, icy as the Abyss triangular bodies gaze.
He did not close his eyes, his gaze like burning embers, fixated on the rift signaling the end.
As if using this final gaze to brand this death’s coordinates onto the soul’s Bi’an.
The Night Watcher’s vow, in Spirit’s last moment, remained as if etched into his marrow, holding up his unyielding spine.
Regardless of life or death, this place, it was their final line of defense.
