Chapter 1226: Chapter 834: A Narrow Escape

Three enormous poisonous swords forged from pure destructive energy cleaved through the dying twilight.

The Void is destruction, and Void Creatures inherently possess traits of destruction.

This strike, infused with the aura of annihilating all, mercilessly descended towards the collapsed Old Jack and the unconscious Eira.

Time seemed to freeze.

In Old Jack’s cloudy eyes reflected the approaching shadow of the death scythe, and behind it, the three emotionless, despair-inducing Triangle heads — the Boundary Breakers.

Is this the end?

Unsure if there’s a chance for resurrection.

Can one resurrect after being polluted or destroyed?

What about a great tree?

These questions remained unanswered.

Yet, no matter what, he hoped his soul wouldn’t be captured by the Void, becoming one of them; hoped his soul would return to the torch.

At least, it shouldn’t become part of the Void.

Just as the scythe blade was about to touch flesh and blood.

Buzz——!

A not-so-dazzling, yet immensely solid wall of pale golden light, seemingly embodying the concept of "Unmovable" itself, instantly stood before Old Jack.

Tiny inscriptions of order flowed across the surface of the light wall, much like the most solid rock layers deep within the earth, carrying an everlasting, immovable will.

The power that represented rules above was blatantly shimmering.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three deafening blasts, strong enough to rupture eardrums, exploded.

The powerful, heavy destruction scythe blades fiercely struck the light wall, sparking blinding energy flashes and the distinct sizzle of Void erosion.

The force that could slice through space only left three intensely flickering dents on the light wall and was held back rigidly as if crashing against a reef.

It was a strike carrying destruction, yet it achieved nothing.

As though time was elongated in that moment.

"Boom——!"

A thick arrow of pure blinding Order Holy Light shot through, unheralded, passing through the core of a floating Triangle core of a Boundary Breaker.

The arrow didn’t cause an explosion but instead brought about absolute "Purification."

The core of the Triangle, gathering strength, dissolved inch by inch into incandescence, unable to even scream as it shattered and vanished.

The massive Boundary Breaker’s body stiffened, like losing its backbone, it crashed to the ground, scattering a swath of purple crystal-infused earth and Low Tier Crystal Insects.

Under the power of the world, it quickly perished, crumbling into ash and dispersing, leaving behind a gift from the world.

Thud! Thud!

Following the light arrow, came two heart-pounding dull impacts.

A dwarf statue, solid as a moving fortress, charged onto the battlefield with the force of wind and thunder, a heavy forged steel chain whip entwined with scorching alchemy flame smashed into another Boundary Breaker’s lower limb joint.

"Haha! Try this, you rotten purple rocks!" roared Baron.

The crystalline armor shattered under the dual assault of the dwarf’s brute force and alchemical high temperature.

Simultaneously, a shadowy silhouette flashed past the side of the third Boundary Breaker with a sharp whistle piercing the air.

Yet it remained unresponsive.

Two poisoned blue glows precisely targeted its tail energy node, producing a small area of corrosive deep purple mist, instantly weakening its stability and energy intensity.

The dust slightly dispersed.

Amid the dust, five figures stood firm in front of the dying Night Watcher like divine weapons splitting a filthy flood.

In the forefront, the towering Warrior Cedric held a large tower shield inlaid with complex runes, embodying that immovable barrier’s incarnation.

His rock-solid face bore no expression, only a cold scrutiny, as the purple corrosion on the shield rapidly faded due to the order inscription.

In the open air slightly further back, elegant Elf Ranger Isabella lowered her holy radiance-emitting longbow.

The bowstring still slightly vibrated, and her sharp eyes locked on the remaining two Boundary Breakers, devoid of emotion.

On the left, Dwarf Baron with his entire body in heavy armor gleaming coldly under the setting sun, with a chain whip enshrouded with roaring flame and steam, like an angry God of War.

To the right, Half-Beastman Lydia appeared blurred, twin daggers enveloped with ghostly cold poisonous mist, resembling a shadow leopard ready to strike.

At the far rear, Holy Light Priest Oliver clothed in modest white robes radiated warmth and powerful light.

A phantom scepter made of pure Holy Light floated above his head, dispelling the battlefield’s increasingly intense, despair-laden "Silence."

"Hold on, Night Watchers of Hamilton! You’re doing great!"

Oliver’s voice, blessed by the Holy Light, emerged steady and powerful, imbued with a soul-soothing warmth.

He pointed his magic staff towards Old Jack and Eira, instantly enveloping them in golden Holy Light, warm like the rising sun.

Divine Recovery! Healing Prayer! Light of Purification!

Layers upon layers of High Tier Holy Light Spell’s brilliance, potent life force like sweet spring water, flowed into Old Jack and Eira’s parched, dying bodies.

Old Jack’s collapsed chest bones realigned and healed under the guidance of Holy Light.

Eira’s terrifying corrosive wound on the shoulder hissed under the burn of Holy Flame, the malicious purple faded quickly, and new flesh rapidly mended at a visible speed. Her furrowed brow slightly relaxed, a tint of blood returning to her pale face.

Oliver’s precise and efficient healing not only salvaged the body but also vigorously dispelled the invading spiritual whispers of the void.

The fierce pain receded like an ebbing tide, leaving only the exhaustion of surviving catastrophe and a scarcely believable warmth.
