The Ghost Knight Monarch's Underground City Project
Chapter 144: Thoughts on Premium Release
As a complete rookie writing a long-form web novel for the first time, I am truly flattered and overwhelmed that my debut work has received such recognition and achieved these results. So, before I start rambling, I want to thank all of you readers first! It is only because of the readers that mere "words" can transform into a true "work." This novel exists because of your passion. Thank you to every single reader, and thank you, specifically, to the one reading this right now.
Next, I must thank the best editor in the world, Canaan. If it weren’t for Canaan’s appreciation and validation, this work would probably have remained nothing more than a Word document gathering dust in a folder, never getting the chance to be published on a proper platform.
Additionally, I want to apologize to everyone. Because I am not a full-time author and am currently writing part-time, my daily word count, while relatively stable, makes it very difficult for me to pull off mass releases. Most of your feedback and comments complain about the slow updates. Later on, when I get time off for the Lunar New Year holidays, I might have the opportunity to maintain a daily update rate of ten thousand words for a while as a response to my esteemed readers’ incredible enthusiasm.
On the other hand, being a newcomer, I always feel a bit of trepidation when writing. Although I’ve accumulated quite a bit of experience during this process and am gradually getting the hang of writing long-form web novels, I am still learning. Ever since this book gradually got on track, people have frequently asked if I’m a reincarnated veteran author or some otherworldly writing demon. To a certain extent, I take this as a form of validation and encouragement regarding my writing abilities. However, I really am just a foolish rookie who recently entered the industry. While I have self-taught some story theory and screenwriting knowledge in my spare time, and have written a few short fanfictions for Dark Dungeon, there are still many things I don’t understand about the web novel industry.
Thank you for your passionate encouragement. It is precisely because of your validation, along with the reassuring, steady stream of monthly tickets and subscription support, that my state of mind has become increasingly stable. Of course, I must also thank the two esteemed authors "Shengchi Junzi" and "Yidao Zhanzhanzhan" for their recommendations; many new readers might have come over from there. I also want to thank the Operations Manager, Mechanical Fox, who has helped me, a novice writer, so much during this time.
Finally, thank you once again to all my dear reader friends, and thank you to Canaan for having the keen eye to spot this "pig in the rough." The story ahead is still very long. From operational management, construction and production, dispatching expeditions, and kingdom conflicts, to local customs and culture, we will journey together all the way to the end of this world created just for you.
