THE GOD EATER
Chapter 1356: Three Part System.
He hoped to give white Loki as little information about the Dao Fetus cultivation system as possible, so there was no way he would be comfortable with the whole Gemini race knowing the ins and outs of his newly made cultivation system.
Plus, using the Dao Fetus through the Gemini Supreme Metac meant the whole thing could be taken from him. It was also possible that it became impossible to access the Dao Fetus in his disciples without permission from the Gemini Supreme Metac.
After thinking about the problem for a long while, he decided he had to solve it himself. He also concluded that the best solution was to copy how the Root of Life works and hide some of the Dao Fetus’s functions.
The Root of Life is split into three main parts, all of which work together to create its ability. There are the Dao Source, the Gemini Supreme Metac, and the Core Metac.
Without the permission of the Dao Source, the Root of Life would lose its main ability and would be unable to take or bestow lifespan to disciples. And without the Gemini Supreme Metac, the Root of Life wouldn’t work with any pathway.
So accessing the Core Metac alone is usually not enough to use it because the other two are missing. Loki decided to copy this level of security by splitting the cultivation system into three parts.
Currently, the Dao Fetus cultivation system has two parts. They were the Devouring Supreme Metac, serving as the source of its power, and the Dao Fetus itself. He decided to add another component called the Dao Mother system.
He split the Dao Fetus into two, shrinking its size in the process. He split it into the growth path and the devouring part.
The growth part contained the instructions (Grow stronger from Rank 1 to Rank 5), (Create Energy Threads), (Create Mind Palace), and (Create Mental World). He left this in the Dao Fetus so it could execute these instructions on its own.
The devouring part contained the instructions (Devour lifespan from living things), (Use lifespan to cultivate and grow), (Devour Life Abilities to use them), (Devour and use Power Cores), and (Devour and replace Core Metacs). He converted all of these instructions into Divine Metacs.
The Divine Metacs would form the Dao Mother system. They would serve as an intermediary between the Dao Fetus and the Supreme Metac and would execute all the devouring instructions for it.
Ideally, a Dao Lord who got a Dao Fetus couldn’t understand how it worked because its instructions were written in a language they didn’t understand. But if they could somehow crack the obscure language and understand its instructions, they would only get the part that gave the Dao Fetus its potential for growth.
With the instructions they stole, they could make a Dao Fetus capable of growth. But they couldn’t create one that grows as fast as the original Dao Fetus, can take Life Abilities, or do all the special things his Dao Fetus could do.
The Dao Fetus would still be constantly monitored, and most of its abilities would need a secure connection with the Supreme Metac. Through the connection, he could determine when the host was dead or when someone took the Dao Fetus from the host to copy it.
Then he could destroy the Dao Fetus to avoid compromising it. But it would no longer die without an active connection. Most of its capabilities would only be reduced.
"That’s the best I can do. Now I should focus on how to help the Dao Fetus advance to Rank 6."
"After that, I will be a third of the way done. I just need to ensure that they can create Supreme Metacs with it, and I will be done."
The parts he cared most about were the mortal stages and the divine stages. The mortal stages would provide him with a lot of lifespan and help him outcompete the other sects as soon as possible, while the divine stages would help him gain Domain Power from his disciples.
He also planned to benefit from the Supreme Metac stage at Rank 9 by making it easy to copy his disciples’ Supreme Metacs. But as wonderful as this would be, the benefit would be few and far between.
It would take his disciples a very long time to reach Rank 9. It could take hundreds, even thousands, of years. Plus, only a handful of them would ever reach that stage. For these two reasons, he wasn’t as excited about the Supreme Metac stage as the other two.
It didn’t help that he already had a cool method planned to use for the divine stages. It would use an advancement method that didn’t require Divine Positions. So the limit on how many divine beings he could have depended on the size of his Supreme Metac.
In fact, he was already working on a way to eliminate that weakness and have as many divine beings as possible. So he was very excited.
But before working on the divine stage, he had an idea to help his Dao Fetus have more than one Energy Well, like he did as a mortal. He had accomplished it by devouring Core Metacs back then, which sounded easy, but he knew it would be difficult to pull off.
The first problem he encountered was that he didn’t know exactly how he did it. Of course, he knew what he did. But he didn’t know what Fenrir and the spark of power did.
He knew he devoured Core Metacs and Divine Metacs, but Fenrir and the spark of power did the heavy lifting. And since he could no longer repeat the feat, he couldn’t watch them work and see if he could replicate it.
Without a working specimen to copy, he quickly found himself wandering around a dark room looking for a needle. But he didn’t give up just yet. After all, he could be here for thousands of years.
