Chapter 1357: Forgetful Lokis.

He was in the middle of his research when he felt the connection to his anchor appear. As soon as he sensed the Divine Spark, he tossed aside everything he was doing and rushed over.

On his way over, he thought, "I wonder what happened in my absence."

A month had passed while he was gone. A month was a short time to a Dao Lord, but it was more than enough time for him to become a four-star celestial, so a lot could have happened in that time.

At least, that’s what he expected. But as it turned out, the situation was worse than he expected.

When he reunited with his past self with the Divine Spark, he learned nothing about what had happened from the black Loki and the white Loki. He was already angry that it took the two Lokis a month to rescue him, so this level of incompetence pushed him over the edge.

’What do you mean you don’t remember what happened?’ he roared inwardly in anger.

Usually, after returning to the past, there are two sets of memories. There is the one within the spark of power, and the other is within the godhead. The two sets of memories unite at the point they returned to in the past.

The only time one set of memories survived the reversal of time was when someone else reversed time. When Time Traveler reversed time, only the mind within the spark of power remembered the lost future. The mind within the Devouring Supreme Metac didn’t notice that time was reversed at all.

It seems the same thing had happened this time because the two Lokis don’t remember what happened from the point when he established his Divine Mountain.

They don’t remember how he lost the Divine Spark or that he told them to create the Rewind Metac. This meant that they didn’t build the Rewind Metac, and they definitely weren’t the ones who reversed time.

’One month. I gave you the schematics, yet you failed to make it for one whole month,’ he thought, angry as a boiling kettle.

To be fair, he couldn’t blame them for that level of incompetence. After all, he had asked them to build Divine Metacs for another pathway, which is notoriously difficult for Dao Lords to do.

In fact, many Dao Lords have considered it impossible to create Divine Metacs for other pathways. They consider it common sense that Dao Lords could only create Divine Metacs for pathways whose Supreme Metacs they control.

It sounded abnormal that Dao Lords couldn’t create Divine Metacs anyhow despite being high and mighty, but that’s how it is when their minds have been warped by their pathway.

Dao Lords can have up to ten minds, but each mind is fused with a Supreme Metac, making it nearly impossible to understand other languages or use the Divine Metacs of other pathways. When they look at the world, they see it through the lens of their Supreme Metacs and automatically translate the world’s operations into their language so they can understand it.

The advantage is that Dao Lords can easily convert law fragments of other pathways to theirs. The disadvantage is that Dao Lords find it hard to master other pathways, create Divine Metacs for other pathways, and create new Supreme Metacs.

He knew all of this, but he hoped Fenrir would be an exception, since it could use Divine Metacs from other pathways. But he seemed to have overestimated his clones’ capabilities. At the very least, Fenrir couldn’t create the Rewind Metac in a month, despite ample direction.

The two Lokis didn’t know they had done anything wrong, and even if they had, they didn’t know he was fuming inside them. Black Loki was still grinding conversion efficiency, and white Loki was now researching cultivation systems after establishing the Divine Mountain.

According to what he did in the previous timeline, white Loki had taken off and was roaming the upper realm. It was what he always did to avoid Black Chain and other Dao Lords ganging up on him.

’I don’t need to do that anymore,’ he thought, still angry.

White Loki suddenly had the idea to patrol the golden mountain. As for black Loki, he sent his avatar to the Alpha Peak super world to bait Dao Lords.

They spontaneously decided to change their established patterns. The eye within their inner world noticed this unexplained change. Its three pupils spun in a circle as it looked for the source of the change.

It looked across space, checking everything around them. Then it looked around time, checking this location and the behavior of everyone around in the previous timeline. Finally, it checked their memory and the minds of everyone nearby.

While the eye searched for the spark of power, Loki’s avatar appeared in the lower realm. It descended from the Divine Mountain and appeared beside Thief Haven.

He arrived in Thief Haven partly to bait Dao Lords and also to establish a Domain here. In previous timelines, it had always been easy to establish a Domain in Thief Haven since Wandering Thief hated Black Chain and the other Dao Lords.

He felt he could use that hatred to his advantage and secure a free Domain before he had to tackle Black Chain, the other Dao Lords, and the other super worlds.

A few seconds after he arrived, the world rippled slightly, and the Will of the World appeared. A white phantom figure, as if made of mist, appeared before him and said, "What do you want?"

"I want to establish a Domain here," he said nonchalantly.

He wasn’t focused on this conversation since the outcome was set. Instead, he was waiting for Dao Lords to come down and try to kill him.

The Will of the World said, "Wait a minute."

He thought he misheard for a while. He had to ask again, "Wait? Wait for what?"

Before the Will could reply, he said, "That was a rhetorical question. I don’t intend to wait for anything. I’m in a hurry and want my Domain now."
