THE GOD EATER
Chapter 1365: No To The Virtual Universe.
He chose to block the other Dao Lords for 100 years because he was sure he would have reached ten-star celestial by then and because it was short enough for the Wills to accept it. He might even advance to Dao King stage in 100 years, depending on how difficult the requirements to advance were.
Either way, unless there is another Dao Lord who can advance as fast as he does, no one will be able to catch up to him, and he will be strong enough to use force to maintain control for a hundred years.
By his best estimate, since the highest cultivation current was six-star celestial, he expected the best Dao Lord to be at eight-star celestial in a hundred years. In fact, he would be impressed if anyone managed to advance to seven-star celestial in a hundred years.
’Unfortunately, there is the virtual universe. Gemini younglings and their adults can use it to gain an unfair advantage and shorten the time they need to advance,’ he thought as he began working on the Devouring Hunger Supreme Metac.
He could also use the virtual universe to shorten the time he needed to increase his conversion efficiency. It was a possibility he had considered seriously for a long time. After much thought, he decided it wasn’t worth the risk.
For one, he didn’t think the virtual universe could help him speed up conversion efficiency the way he used multiple Divine Metacs working in tandem with the Main Divine Ability, because it was unnatural.
He didn’t think the virtual universe could help him because Fenrir’s ability to do so was supposed to be unprecedented. If the virtual universe couldn’t simulate Auxiliary Divine Abilities working with the Main Divine Ability in sync, any simulation wouldn’t be as fast as his own way of grinding conversion efficiency.
But even if the virtual universe could help and speed up his special process, he didn’t think it was worth it, because he’d have to surrender himself to the virtual universe for it to help.
He would have to let the virtual universe scan him and copy everything about him before it could create the perfect simulation. This was why he was wary of it.
He didn’t want the virtual universe to discover the spark of power. The fact that the eye in his inner world couldn’t find the spark of power didn’t make him believe that no one else could find it.
The virtual universe under the control of the god king might find the spark of power because he let it scan him. In fact, he wasn’t sure that the eye’s true body couldn’t find the spark of power.
Astra’s ability to find it meant his secret could be exposed. He already had enough trouble from Astra and didn’t want to add more from the god king. Just imagining what they would do to him if they discovered the spark of power made him shake his head and refuse to let the virtual universe scan him whenever he could.
’I mean, they already have someone watching my every move, and I hate it. But it could be worse,’ he thought, chuckling deprecatingly.
’Even if they can’t get to the spark of power, they can imprison me and perform experiments on me forever and ever. And if they can reach the spark of power like Astra, they can have multiple people, with various origin talents that can counter mine, challenge me for control forever and forever while they imprison me.’
’So no. No virtual reality for me. I would rather cheat on my own than sell my soul to the Gemini devils.’
After he finished making the Devouring Hunger Supreme Metac, he had his avatar approach the Will of Red Sky with an offer. As with the two previous deals, his goals remained the same.
He wanted to secure his Domain and prevent other Dao Lords from competing with him for the world’s attention for a hundred years. What he asked for was a lot, but what he offered was a lot too.
Any Supreme Metac was rare because it took effort, ingenuity, talent, and sacrifice to make. But a Grand Dao, which was just beneath a Cosmic Dao, was rarer than most Supreme Metacs.
The Grand Dao was especially to the Will of Worlds, who basically had no hope of producing a Grand Dao on their own. Some of them had existed for tens of thousands of years and were present during the heyday of the ancient cultivators. Yet, none of them managed to create a Grand Dao.
It wasn’t a coincidence that super worlds couldn’t produce one Grand Supreme Metac. They simply lacked the talent to do so.
Their only way to get a Grand Dao was for a stupid sucker to come along and trade them for it in exchange for doing a favor for a short hundred years.
They hadn’t encountered such a fool in their tens of thousands of years. It was a level of bad luck worth lamenting. So when one finally showed up, they had to take the offer even if the fool was a Gemini.
So even though there was some back-and-forth between Loki and the Wills during their negotiations, Loki still got his way. He managed to get the Will of Red Sky and Clear Heart super worlds to give him what he wanted.
After going the rounds, Loki nodded in satisfaction and thought, ’Four down, five more to go.’
’Unfortunately, there goes all of the Supreme Metacs of the Devouring Pathway that I know. So now, I have to make new ones, consider using some of the other Supreme Metacs, or use brute force for the other five.’
Actually, he was sure he could use brute force to take over the lower realm and establish Domains on any super worlds he wanted now that he had secured his Domains on four major worlds.
He had done it before in other timelines and was sure he could do it again.
