Chapter 1377 Black Chain The Rapist.

The other Dao Lords also withdrew. Without their star-like eyes illuminating the world, the sky of the lower realm returned to being pitch-black.

Seeing his enemies flee before his grand might, Black Chain burst out laughing, "Ahahahaha."

"That’s it. Run and hide, all of you. Run and hide because that’s all you can do before me."

As he mocked them, he sent a projection of his Supreme Metacs down into Thief Haven. He didn’t send one. He sent five at once.

When the Supreme Metacs reached the super world, he sneered and said, "Go on. Resist and give me an excuse to crush you."

"That’s just edgy and cringe," Loki said, hypocritically. "I would never say that to a world."

"He is behaving like he is raping the world. That’s just crass."

Shaking his head, he commented, "No one should force a super world into doing what they don’t want to do. Black Chain needs to learn to be more like me. Super worlds everywhere love me."

Even the super worlds he made a deal with to support his Domain don’t like him. And there are the many worlds he threatened to destroy and the ones he destroyed.

So he had no right to look down on Black Chain and criticize him. But he felt like those things happened in another timeline, so they never happened, and he never did them, leaving him a saint.

As he watched, he saw that the Will of the super world didn’t resist. It accepted the Supreme Metacs and anchored them to the divine constellation.

After the Domain was established, Black Chain laughed once more and said, "Now that’s how to treat the strongest being in the Sea of Worlds."

Then he withdrew his gaze and left the lower realm. The lower realm subsequently returned to peace.

Where he was standing, Loki smacked his lips and said, "So believable. Very believable."

The whole thing was so believable it reminded Loki of the time he put on a show with the Will of the Blessed Heaven World to deceive Black Chain. So no, it wasn’t believable at all.

He was willing to bet the whole thing was a show to legitimize the alliance against Black Chain, let Black Chain establish his Domain on Thief’s Haven without looking like he was working with them, and probably confuse him into doubting the relationship between the other Dao Lords.

So far, only one of these three objectives worked. That was Black Chain establishing his Domain without looking like he was working with them.

The key word here was "look". It did most of the heavy lifting because, on the surface, Black Chain looked like he wasn’t working with them. So based on evidence, he couldn’t accuse them of working together.

But of course, Loki wasn’t fooled. He had seen Black Chain work together with Wandering Thief in the previous timeline.

The fact that Black Chain hadn’t attacked him yet, as it should have, proved to Loki that he was working with someone who had advanced information from the future. At the very least, it proved that Black Chain wasn’t behaving normally.

All in all, only one of their objectives was partially successful. As for the other two, Loki still thought their alliance against Black Chain was a fraud, and he didn’t doubt it at all.

"Not that there is any harm in being wrong. At most, I’ll kill a couple of innocent people. That’s a price I’m willing to pay to be certain," he said, chuckling.

After enjoying the show, he withdrew his gaze. He returned to perfecting the Dao Fetus cultivation system, making more Supreme Metacs, and learning how to put the new Supreme Metacs into the spark of power without fusing them into it.

On the other side of the battlefield, in Thief Haven, the alliance was discussing the most important thing in the Sea of Worlds right now. It was so important that ten Dao Lords attended the meeting.

Every indigenous Dao Lord was at the scene of the discussion, including Black Chain, whom they had just had a public confrontation with.

Only Time Traveler and Golden Sun were absent. The two were hiding somewhere in Wandering Thief’s Domain. Wandering Thief was hiding them with the Will of the World’s help, so they wouldn’t be easy to find.

"Do you think he believed it?" Sword Will asked.

Wandering Thief shook his head and said, "From the little I know of Ragnarok, he is too intelligent to fall for that, especially if he has also acquired information about the events of the previous timeline."

"Maybe it would have worked if he was completely ignorant of our objectives and enmity. If he isn’t ignorant, then all of that was a waste of time."

"I knew it was going to be a waste of time," Black Chain said, snorting in displeasure.

Martial Will also said in agreement, "I said we shouldn’t do it, but none of you listened to me.

"Appearance is important," Heavenly Eye insisted.

"We should at least pretend not to be his enemies. Even if he doesn’t believe us, it might make him believe that we’re so afraid of him discovering our plans that we need to put on a fake show."

"When he believes that we’re afraid, he will let down his guard and underestimate us. So no, it wasn’t a waste of time."

In response, Black Chain snorted once more. He didn’t like that they were pretending to be weak. If it were up to him, they would already be up in arms at Ragnarok’s doorstep.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t do that because, according to Wandering Thief, Ragnarok was supposed to possess the Rewind Metac and could use it despite being on the Devouring Pathway. Having once dealt with someone who could reverse time, he knew how difficult they were to defeat.

The only way he managed to defeat Time Traveler and the others was to keep pressuring them and forcing them to reverse time again and again until they couldn’t. So he had used brute force to overcome the time reversals.
