Chapter 778: Best Eye.
Unfortunately for them, this peace and quiet was fated to be short-lived. Just after 12 hours of nothing happening, Money Armor, another rank 6 slave, sensed that someone was using him to inquire about the activities of the Thorn House of Commerce in the Blessed Heaven World.
So he knelt down immediately and said to Money Body, "They are doing it again. They are using the divine constellation to investigate what we are hiding."
He had just witnessed what had happened to Forced Exchange, so he knew that this was how Forced Exchange had started. He knew that Forced Exchange had pleaded for salvation on his knees, and he also knew what had become of Forced Exchange.
He didn’t want to end up like Forced Exchange, so when he spoke, he was particularly emotional with his plea. But inwardly, he was also bitter.
As he begged, he thought to himself, ’I won’t go down like Forced Exchange old man. If I am to die, I’m bringing down everyone with me.’
On the other side, Loki had watched Forced Exchange’s Body scatter into ashes. The hand he was using to grab Forced Exchange’s neck was now empty since there was nothing left to grab. So he took back his hand.
Then he said to himself, ’Who do I target next?"
The identities of everyone he knew in the Thorn House of Commerce flashed through his mind as he said, "There is Monarch Debt Collector, Market Conditions, and Money Armor. All three are viable candidates.’
After weighing his options for a few seconds, his eyes lit up as he thought, ’Let’s go with Money Armor since that fellow likes to let his body collapse before he dies. I also know where he should be right now. So I can pressure him with the divine constellation as well as beat him up at the same time.’
’By combining the two, he will reach his limit quickly. Once his body collapses, I might be able to gain access to their Cave Heaven.’
After making this decision, he took off into the void. He left in the direction of the small worlds that Money Armor was guarding.
As usual, he moved at full speed without regard for how much lifespan he was burning through. Because of this, he moved much faster than the people tracking him.
In fact, he was so fast that the three seers were still on their way from the small world to the Blessed Heaven World while he was on his way back to the small world.
The three seers didn’t know that they were lagging behind. But they soon learned that this was a bad thing for them.
The three seers were still tracking Loki, and they moved in a triangle formation. Monarch Eye Tracker was in front, leading the way, while the other two were behind him.
Eye Tracker could see trials of mostly energy. So even when it looked like there was nothing to see, Eye Tracker could still see something.
With his special eye, he can tell how powerful or how heavy someone is without actually seeing them. Unfortunately, what he can see is dependent on time.
Just like a normal physical trail, the energy trail he can see also degrades with time. So the earlier he sees an energy trail, the more he can see in it and the more information he can glean from the trail.
On the other hand, Star Divination can see information. With her normal vision, she can only see the physical world of matter. But once she activates her Divine Metac, she can see information that shouldn’t be obvious.
At least, Eye Tracker sees something and then deduces pieces of information about the target from what it sees. But Star Divination directly sees the answer.
It is how Eye Tracker could tell that a money cultivator was somewhere, but couldn’t tell that the money cultivator was a Money Armor or that Money Armor was a member of the Thorn House of Commerce.
It is possible for Eye Tracker to tell that the money cultivator was Money Armor if he had seen Money Armor before and had seen energy traces left by Money Armor before. But there is no way his eyes can tell him which alliance Money Armor belongs to.
Because of this special advantage that Star Divination has over Eye Tracker, time usually has very little impact on how much information she can see. What affects how much she can see is her power, the amount of lifespan she has to use, and the power of the target.
Usually, Monarch Eye Tracker’s power and the power of the target have very little effect on how much he can see. If there is something to see, he will see it. If there is nothing to see, then he won’t be able to see anything.
So the main factor that determines how much Eye Tracker can see us is time. The older the energy trail, the less he can see. The second factor is how much lifespan he has to spend to keep his Divine Metac activated.
Lastly, there is Monarch Many Eyes. This is the seer with the most ordinary eyes. His eyes see just as well as any other divine being, in that he can only see matter.
Monarch Many Eyes doesn’t need visible light to see, as he can see with the full spectrum of electromagnetic waves. But the other two don’t need light to see either, and they can do more than this.
The only thing that Monarch Many Eyes can do that they can’t do is to create many eyes and send them off in different directions. So he has the advantage of quantity. But when it comes to quality, the eyes of the other two seers are objectively better than his.
This was what Star Divination was saying to Many Eyes. The two of them weren’t doing anything right now since Eye Tracker was the main tracker. So they began to argue about who had the best eyes.
