Chapter 112: Chapter 112: Just Like When We Were Little

Hearing this, Jiang Fan was so exasperated he had to laugh.

"It’s not that I didn’t want to go. It’s that every time you finished crying, you’d find an excuse to beat me up the next day."

"I’d even get a beating just for stepping into the room with my left foot first."

"*Ahem, ahem.*"

Jun Yue flushed bright red.

Beside them, Li Qian’Er was about to die laughing.

"Wasn’t I just trying to help you work out?"

"Right, right, right."

Jiang Fan took the director’s hand. "Grandma, have you ever seen anyone ’work out’ by throwing a blanket over someone’s head, sitting on top of them, and pummeling them senseless?"

"Tattling on me, are you?"

Jun Yue grabbed Jiang Fan’s ear again.

"No, no! I wouldn’t dare."

Jiang Fan quickly made a placating gesture with a subservient smile.

"Good. You know what’s good for you."

She huffed lightly and let go of Jiang Fan.

Knowing this herself was one thing, but hearing Jiang Fan say it out loud gave her a completely different feeling—a wave of sweetness that bloomed in her heart.

Several hours passed without anyone noticing. At the side, Li Qian’Er and Sun Yanzi were yawning nonstop.

"Grandma, let’s call it a day. You should go get some rest."

Jiang Fan helped the director to her feet.

"It’s getting really late. Snot Girl here has been yawning constantly."

The previously drowsy Li Qian’Er instantly shot up and pounced at Jiang Fan, her arms flailing.

"I’ll get you for this! Don’t call me Snot Girl!"

Jiang Fan dodged nimbly, then grabbed Jun Yue with both hands and pushed her directly into Li Qian’Er’s arms.

"Getting mad won’t help. I’m calling you Snot Girl. That’s what you get for exposing my embarrassing past."

"Alright, alright, stop fooling around. It’s time to rest."

The director watched the group roughhousing, a smile on her face. Her heart overflowed with the warmth of a happy family.

Li Qian’Er and Jun Yue helped the director to her room and got her settled in.

"You sleep with Qian’Er tonight. We’ll head back tomorrow."

"Okay. You get some rest, too."

Sun Yanzi rubbed her drowsy eyes.

She was so tired her eyelids felt like they were fighting to stay open.

After washing up, she and Li Qian’Er lay down on the bed and drifted off to sleep.

Meanwhile, Jiang Fan lay in his own room, looking at the various furnishings as his memories were suddenly pulled back to his childhood.

Back then, he was the only child in the entire orphanage who got to sleep in his own room.

Many of his little friends had wanted to sleep over, but in the end, it was Jun Yue who came out on top.

Remembering those naive yet happy times, a gentle smile graced Jiang Fan’s lips.

CREAK.

The door was suddenly pushed open. Jiang Fan craned his neck and saw Jun Yue walking in, carrying a blanket.

"You’ve got to be kidding me, Jun. There are so many other rooms. Go sleep somewhere else."

Jiang Fan quickly wrapped the blanket tightly around himself.

Jun Yue shot him an amused look. "What, are you afraid I’m going to take advantage of you?"

"That’s not it," Jiang Fan said bluntly. "Mostly, I’m afraid I’ll be worse than a beast."

"At least you’re honest."

But Jun Yue didn’t stop. She closed the door behind her and tossed her blanket onto the bed.

"Scoot over. Make some room for me."

"You sleep by the window."

Her words were exactly the same as when they were children. Looking at Jun Yue now, her stunningly beautiful face seemed to gradually overlap with the one from his memories.

Especially the way she would wave her little fists.

"Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine! I’ll move, okay?"

Jiang Fan could only wrap himself in his blanket and squeeze over to the very edge of the bed, right up against the window.

Seeing his pathetic state, Jun Yue let out a snort of laughter.

"What are you laughing at! A guy has to protect himself when he’s away from home, you know!"

Jiang Fan said stubbornly, craning his neck in defiance.

"Okay, okay, you protect yourself."

Jun Yue made her side of the bed, lay down blissfully, and let out a long sigh of contentment.

"A hard-plank bed like this is still the most comfortable."

Jiang Fan turned to look at her. "Everyone else would kill to sleep on a fancy spring mattress, but you actually prefer a hard plank bed."

Jun Yue just huffed, ignored him, and turned over. Now they were face to face, their eyes meeting.

They could each feel the other’s breath.

The bed was small, just big enough for Jiang Fan alone. Squeezing two people in was naturally a tight fit.

Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and then Jun Yue actually closed her eyes.

Jiang Fan felt as if two little figures had appeared on his shoulders. The one on the left told him to hurry up and kiss her, that Jun Yue definitely wouldn’t resist.

The figure on the right immediately slapped the one on the left. "That’s the act of a beast! We are upright gentlemen, how could we do such a thing?"

Not to be outdone, the figure on the left fought back. "’Upright gentlemen?’ Then how do you explain Li Muwan? How do you explain Yin Ruxue?"

Excellent. With two heavy punches, the figure on the right was knocked flat on the ground.

Jiang Fan quickly shook his head. After a complex internal struggle, he chose to pull the blanket over his head.

What Jiang Fan didn’t see was the beautiful curve that formed on Jun Yue’s lips.

She wriggled in a little closer, adjusted her position slightly, and waited quietly.

Finally, Jiang Fan couldn’t stand being smothered any longer and stuck his head out from under the blanket to gasp for fresh air.

The very instant he emerged, he felt a softness on his lips.

An agile tongue pried his teeth apart.

"Mmph! Mmph!"

Jiang Fan’s eyes flew wide open. He wanted to struggle, but all he could manage were muffled sounds.

Jun Yue kept kissing him until Jiang Fan felt like he was about to suffocate, and only then did she let him go.

Seeing the resentful look on his face, a victorious smile appeared on Jun Yue’s own.

"You were so easy to bully when we were little, and you’re still just as easy to bully now."

Jun Yue reached out and ruffled his hair until it looked like a bird’s nest.

"Too dangerous, just too dangerous," Jiang Fan muttered.

He quickly pulled the blanket back over himself and turned his back to her.

The next second, his body stiffened. A hot, soft body pressed tightly against his back.

"Jun, watch it! We’re not kids anymore!" Jiang Fan whispered urgently.

"Oh, so now you know how to be shy? I wonder who it was back in the day that touched a girl all over, from top to bottom."

"And had the nerve to call it a ’massage’."

Jun Yue whispered, blowing hot air into his ear.

Jiang Fan’s face flushed red.

He wanted to argue, but Jun Yue had already reached out and gently covered his mouth.

"Just go to sleep. I’ve really, really missed you all these years."

Jiang Fan froze, then gradually relaxed.

All the chaotic thoughts in his mind vanished, replaced by a wave of warmth.

"Why have you been avoiding me all these years?"

Jun Yue asked softly, pressing her cheek against Jiang Fan’s neck.
