"So this is why you’re just sitting here slacking off?"

Li Muwan fought to keep her anger in check.

"Am I slacking off? I’m not!"

Jiang Fan blinked at her, looking completely innocent.

"Oh, you didn’t actually think I was just sitting here doing nothing, did you?"

Seeing her so furious, Jiang Fan was confused at first, but then it dawned on him.

"What’s that supposed to mean? Are you saying I’ve misjudged you?"

Li Muwan shot him an irritated glare.

"What’s wrong with you? Maybe you need to chill out. Who ever said you have to use a computer to write a proposal?"

"What’s wrong with writing it on my phone? How does that bother you? If I’m such an eyesore, then get me my own office. That way, we won’t have to see each other."

Her hostile tone started to get on his nerves, and Jiang Fan found it hard to keep his own anger in check.

Anyone would be upset if they were working hard only to be suddenly hit with such a passive-aggressive lecture.

"So you think I’m a nuisance, is that it?"

"Fine! An office, is it? You’ve got it. Just stay out of my sight from now on!"

"Someone, clear out that southern office. Tell the people inside to move out."

"Fifteen minutes. I want to see that office completely clean and tidy."

Yanking open her office door, Li Muwan issued the orders with extreme coldness.

Her sheer intensity intimidated everyone in the office.

’When have we ever seen her this angry?’

Jiang Fan walked out of the office behind her. He couldn’t help but rub his nose, glancing at her awkwardly.

’He had to admit, he’d gotten a little heated himself, but there was no need for her to fly off the handle like this.’

"Um..."

Jiang Fan opened his mouth to try and smooth things over, but Li Muwan paid him no mind. She turned on her heel, walked back into her office, and slammed the door shut with a BANG.

’Good thing I wasn’t facing the door, or I would’ve lost my nose.’

"What’s she so angry about?"

Jiang Fan muttered sheepishly.

"Hey everyone, don’t worry about it. Just get back to work. You know how it is, that time of the month. She’s just having a moment."

"Jiang, the office is all cleared out for you. You can head over now."

"If you need anything, just let logistics know. They’ll procure it for you."

Yu Xiaoyu said in her bright, clear voice from behind Jiang Fan.

"You guys really cleared out an office? I thought there were six people working in there."

Jiang Fan was genuinely taken aback by their efficiency.

"Of course. When the general manager gets that angry, who would dare to disobey?"

"What did you do to set her off? And how did you know it was her period?"

"Could it be that you two have...?"

Yu Xiaoyu’s expression was priceless as she leaned in close to Jiang Fan.

"Not at all! I was just talking nonsense."

Jiang Fan said with a completely straight face.

’Although, if he counted the days, Li Muwan was indeed due for her period.’

’But how could he possibly say something like that out loud?’

All he could do was head to his new office. It was large enough to fit six or seven people with room to spare, but now that he was the only one in it, it felt surprisingly vast.

An executive desk and chair sat on the south side, while six smaller desks were pushed against the north wall, leaving a huge empty space in the middle of the room.

’Sun Yanzi can sit here, Yu Xiaoyu can have this one, and that one over there can be for Zhou Nian’an.’

’That way, we can all slack off together.’

’And we won’t have to worry about getting caught and fined.’

Jiang Fan thought gleefully as he sat in the executive chair.

"What are you doing here?"

Suddenly, Yin Ruxue pushed the door open and froze, looking surprised.

After asking the question, she even stepped back out to glance at the nameplate on the door.

"I’m working on the proposal. I got Li Muwan to set me up with an office."

"Why are you down here?"

Jiang Fan looked up at her, stretched lazily, and asked.

"Oh, I came down to see Team Leader Bai about something."

Their conversation was natural and relaxed, as if some invisible barrier between them had dissolved.

"Do you have any ideas for the proposal yet?"

After a slight hesitation, Yin Ruxue walked in, casually pulled up a chair, and sat down.

"To be honest, this is a pretty major project, considering it’s about whether the company can capture the entire Yangcheng market. We just don’t have anyone else to spare."

"Otherwise, we wouldn’t have put so much pressure on you."

Yin Ruxue seemed to be explaining the situation, but also reassuring him.

"Don’t worry, I’ve already got a rough outline. I’m pretty sure it’ll go smoothly."

With Jun Yue’s guidance, the proposal was already 50% done.

The basic framework was already in place; all that’s left is to fill in the details.

The opening of the six shopping malls in the Celestial Dragon District meant six of our stores would be launching simultaneously. His job was to market them as much as possible and spread awareness to the people there.

As for everything else, it all came down to whether the product was solid enough to outperform the competition.

On that front, Jiang Fan was very confident in Xuerong’s products. After all, the quality of the materials and the technology spoke for themselves.

"Alright, then. I’ll leave it up to you."

"You have full authority on this. Mu Wan already told me."

Yin Ruxue said, getting to her feet.

"Huh? She told you I have full authority? Aren’t you two going to review the proposal?"

"We both trust you. If we were to make changes based on our own perspectives, we might end up removing something with a creative spark."

"So we’re giving you free rein."

Hearing her say this, Jiang Fan gave a wry smile and shook his head.

"Alright, I’ll let you get back to it then."

With that, Yin Ruxue pulled the door open and left the office.

"You two really do trust me..."

His voice was filled with a deep sense of emotion.
