The Goddess CEO Fell in Love with Me
Chapter 161: Know Yourself and Know Your Enemy
Chapter 161: Chapter 161: Know Yourself and Know Your Enemy
"Of course! Why else do you think her brand is so sought-after?"
"Every single product she designs becomes a massive hit."
"Some things are just hidden in the details. You have to be impressed."
Sun Yanzi explained as she looked at Jiang Fan.
"I didn’t expect that girl to be such a badass."
Comparing his memory of Jun Yue as a child to the woman she was now, Jiang Fan couldn’t help but sigh with admiration.
"If she heard you say that, she’d probably smack you upside the head."
"You can’t go around saying things like that. It’s offensive."
Sun Yanzi quickly gave him a light slap.
"Anyway, let’s not talk about that. Hurry up and eat."
"Here, Mu Wan, eat this. Try this one..."
Li Muwan had never been so full in her life. She practically had to drag her stomach out the door.
Sun Yanzi was just too enthusiastic. The vast majority of the food on the table ended up in her stomach; refusing was not an option.
Before she left, Li Muwan said to Jiang Fan, "We only have three days left. Keep an eye on the time, and if it really doesn’t work out, no one will blame you for giving up."
"Don’t worry. If it comes to that, I’ll have no problem washing my hands of it."
With a wave, Li Muwan closed the door. Jiang Fan returned to his room as well.
Sun Yanzi was already in bed by this time, but Jiang Fan was still in the living room, going over his marketing proposal again and again.
His original strategy had only targeted the international model.
Now, not only did the competition have an international model, but they might also start a price war for this massive event.
The products from both companies were similar. Xuerong’s materials might be a bit more refined and high-end, but with its cost basis, the price couldn’t go *that* low.
Jiang Fan knew one thing for sure: no company would willingly do business at a loss.
Even if they were to burn through cash in the initial phase, it would most likely be on advertising and promotion, not on desperately slashing product prices.
’Once you lower product prices, you risk creating a fixed perception in the consumer’s mind: I used to pay so much for your products, and now they’re this cheap?’
’Aren’t you just ripping people off?’
"Damn it! I’m upping the investment!"
After a long moment, Jiang Fan scratched his head, a ruthless look hardening his expression.
He then sent a message to the group chat with the original eighteen girls, asking if they had any friends with figures similar to their own.
If they did, they should try to bring them over.
Originally, Jiang Fan thought three girls per store would be enough to grab everyone’s attention.
’Wouldn’t that be more exciting than watching a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show live?’
’On second thought, three seems a little low. Let’s double it!’
’I’ll find six! Six per store!’
’Six of them lined up, combined with their ability to read people, would definitely be able to charm the customers into a daze.’
"Boss, you still need more people?"
"I have a friend who works at another KTV. Her figure is even better than mine. I’ll call her over."
"I have a friend who’s a lead dancer at Love House. Can she come?"
"I have two friends, too. Their figures are a little lacking, but their ’weapons’ are definitely big enough!"
"Boss, I sent you their photos. Take a look and see if they’ll work."
With an opportunity this good, of course everyone wanted to help their friends first.
However, things didn’t always go as planned. Jiang Fan looked through over thirty photos but only picked out four people.
The rest either didn’t have the right looks, didn’t have the right figure, or just gave off a bad first impression.
’Three days left and I’m still short this many people.’
’I have to find them!!’
Jiang Fan had a massive headache. This wasn’t the kind of thing you could find just because you were looking.
He stayed up until 3:30 a.m. and only closed his laptop and went to his room to lie down when he could no longer fight off the exhaustion.
But his mind kept racing with thoughts about the proposal.
A moment later, Sun Yanzi quietly snuggled up to him, resting on his chest.
She then took his hand and made him wrap it around her, even though his hand was now on a sensitive spot.
"Why are you still awake?"
Jiang Fan asked softly.
"I’ve been having trouble sleeping in this bed lately. I can’t fall asleep when you’re not here."
Sun Yanzi’s voice was a little groggy, and Jiang Fan could tell she was already very sleepy.
"Go to sleep, go to sleep."
He coaxed her gently. Jiang Fan forcibly restrained his mischievous hand.
She was very sleepy herself and drifted off to dreamland in no time.
The next morning, when he woke up, Sun Yanzi was already up and had made breakfast.
"You’re up so early. Why didn’t you wake me?"
Jiang Fan rubbed his bleary eyes and walked out of the room, yawning.
"I saw how tired you were last night, so I wanted to let you sleep in."
"Don’t put so much pressure on yourself. If it doesn’t work out, we’ll just pull out. Even Mu Wan and President Yin won’t blame you."
Looking at Jiang Fan’s exhausted face, a trace of heartache flickered deep in Sun Yanzi’s eyes.
"I know, but my job is to handle things like this. If I don’t give it my all, I feel like I don’t deserve the money I’m earning," Jiang Fan said with a hint of resignation.
"Even so, you can’t put too much pressure on yourself. Alright, go get washed up. Breakfast is ready. After you eat, see if you want to go back to sleep for a bit."
"I’m heading to the office now."
Sun Yanzi smiled and pushed him toward the bathroom.
"You’re going to work now?"
"Aren’t you still not fully recovered?"
Her words shocked the sleep right out of Jiang Fan.
"It’s fine, I’m pretty much better."
"I need to get moving anyway, or my bones will get rusty."
Seeing her insistence, Jiang Fan didn’t press the issue further.
After Sun Yanzi left, he felt the home had suddenly become a bit empty and quiet.
He was eating breakfast and idly scrolling through videos when his phone suddenly rang.
"What’s up, Yaoyao?"
"Jiang, are you busy today?" Rong Anyao’s sweet voice came from the other end of the line.
"Not really, why?" Jiang Fan asked.
"Can you go shopping with me, then? I heard a bunch of new stores opened in the Celestial Dragon District."
"Let’s go check it out, okay? You haven’t spent time with me in so long."
"The Celestial Dragon District?"
Jiang Fan was now extremely sensitive to those three words.
"Yeah! That area feels like it’s really blossoming lately."
"All sorts of shops have reopened, and they’ve even attracted many unique brands from out of the province."
"Is that so?"
An idea flashed in Jiang Fan’s mind.
"Alright then. Where are you now? I’ll come pick you up in a bit, and we can grab lunch together?"
