Chapter 273: Discussing Cooperation

As the men left, Yin Ruxue stared thoughtfully at the check in her hand.

“This Dong Shaojie… I can’t believe he’s so despicable.”

“Don’t worry about this. I can handle it,” Jiang Fan said.

Yin Ruxue gave Jiang Fan a hesitant look, but he continued, “Alright, let’s get to work. We’re going to be late, and Li Muwan will have my hide.”

Yin Ruxue shot Jiang Fan a meaningful glance but didn’t say anything more and returned to the driver’s seat.

When they arrived at the company, Jiang Fan noticed Su Qingci wasn’t around, but he didn’t pay it much mind.

Despite the incident on the road, they rushed and managed to get to the office on time.

Of course, even if he had been late, no one would have dared to say anything. After all, Jiang Fan had left with Yin Ruxue yesterday and arrived with her again today.

“Jiang, you and President Yin… you didn’t…?”

The moment he sat down at his desk, Yu Xiaoyu eagerly scurried over, a breakfast bag in hand.

“Stop gossiping!”

Jiang Fan cut Yu Xiaoyu off.

“Okay, okay, I won’t gossip. Here, this is the breakfast Supervisor Sun got for you. She specifically asked me to give it to you.”

Jiang Fan gave a wry smile and frowned.

But Yu Xiaoyu’s teasing was getting more and more outrageous.

“I think Supervisor Sun and President Yin are both into you, and it seems even Manager Li treats you pretty well. Why don’t you… take me too!”

“Stop, stop, stop. Don’t get carried away. Where’s Supervisor Sun?”

Jiang Fan noticed Sun Yanzi wasn’t at her desk; she’d even had Yu Xiaoyu deliver the breakfast for her.

Yu Xiaoyu said, “Manager Li called Supervisor Sun in first thing this morning. The event is about to start, so they’re finalizing the plans.”

“No problems, I hope?”

“There shouldn’t be any major issues. Manager Li already sent a message to the company group chat this morning telling all departments to start implementing the proposal.”

“That’s good!”

“But… about Fengming Group… after you two left yesterday, it looks like they sent someone over. They seemed to have discussed something with Manager Li. Anyway, she looked really angry when she left work yesterday.”

“Fengming Group?” Jiang Fan asked, surprised.

“Yeah, someone from Fengming Group’s planning department, I think. They were originally here to see President Yin, but she wasn’t in, so Manager Li met with them.”

Jiang Fan frowned. He was about to ask more, but just then, Li Muwan walked out of her office.

Seeing Li Muwan, Yu Xiaoyu quickly placed the breakfast in front of Jiang Fan and scurried back to her own desk.

The moment Li Muwan appeared, the entire sales department fell silent.

Trailing behind Li Muwan, Sun Yanzi also had a grim expression as she returned to her desk.

“Everyone!” Li Muwan announced. “Regarding the event proposal, Supervisor Sun and I have discussed it. Today, you will all go to our various stores according to the schedule and coordinate the specific implementation with the store managers. We must ensure this event goes off without a hitch. Understood?”

“Understood!”

Everyone replied in unison.

Li Muwan’s gaze swept across the room, finally landing on Jiang Fan.

She slowly walked over to him, and everyone’s eyes followed her, all coming to rest on Jiang Fan.

Looking at Li Muwan, Jiang Fan instinctively swallowed.

“Why did you leave early yesterday without telling me?”

“Well, I… It was President Yin…”

“Enough. No excuses. Come to my office at ten o’clock. Don’t be late!”

Li Muwan didn’t give Jiang Fan a chance to explain. With that, she turned and strode away on her high heels.

Jiang Fan cursed inwardly. Watching her retreating back, he disdainfully stuck out his tongue and made a face.

Only after seeing Li Muwan enter her office did Sun Yanzi slowly walk over to Jiang Fan.

“You little rascal, where were you last night? You didn’t even say a word to me and just left me waiting!”

Sun Yanzi leaned close to Jiang Fan and whispered, deliberately pressing her ample chest toward him.

For Sun Yanzi, she and Jiang Fan were now as close as could be, so this kind of office banter didn’t embarrass her in the slightest.

Jiang Fan, in turn, unabashedly stared right back at her impressive chest.

“Yanzi, something unexpected came up last night, and I forgot to call you. But what about you? Why did Li Muwan call you into her office so early this morning?”

“Don’t even mention it. I saw you leaving with President Yin yesterday. Right after you left, people from Fengming Group showed up. It seems they came to discuss a partnership with our Xuerong.”

“A partnership? What kind of partnership could we have with Fengming Group?”

“I have no idea. All I know is that Manager Li didn’t look too happy this morning. She called me into her office first thing and basically just told us to execute the plan perfectly and ensure this event gets great results.”

“Alright,” Jiang Fan nodded.

But then Sun Yanzi changed the subject. “You little rascal, I have to head to the stores in a bit. Want to come with me?”

“I can’t, Yanzi. I have something to do tonight, so I might be back late.”

“Sigh… fine. I guess I’m not appealing enough for you anymore. Not only will you not go with me, but you don’t even want to come home.”

“Yanzi, I really do have something important to do today!”

“Alright, I get it. I’ll stop teasing you. Be careful what you say when you go into her office later. Manager Li came looking for you last night but couldn’t find you.”

With that, Sun Yanzi slowly returned to her desk.

Gazing at Sun Yanzi’s soul-stirring eyes, Jiang Fan couldn’t help but sigh.

He rummaged through his pocket and pulled out a business card. The card bore the name “Hua Qinyun.” Hua Qinyun himself had given it to him at the opening ceremony for Hidden Dragon Academy. Thankfully, he hadn’t thrown it away.

Looking at the phone number on the card, Jiang Fan dialed it.

“Hello!”

The call was answered quickly. Just as he expected, it was Hua Qinyun’s voice on the other end.

“Young Master Hua, it’s me.”

“Jiang!”

Hua Qinyun recognized Jiang Fan’s voice, and his tone changed immediately.

Jiang Fan didn’t beat around the bush and said flatly, “Young Master Hua, I’d like to ask you about someone. Do you know Dong Shaojie from the Dong Family of Yang City?”

“Dong Shaojie?” Hua Qinyun replied. “Of course I know him. The kid just got back from overseas. He even held a banquet yesterday and called to invite me, but I was busy.”
