The Goddess CEO Fell in Love with Me
Chapter 329: Yutong Group
Chapter 329: Chapter 329: Yutong Group
Seeing this, Jiang Fan tossed the bearded fatty aside and grabbed the gangster, lifting him up.
The gangster was much smaller in stature than the bearded fatty.
Jiang Fan held him like an eagle snatching a chick.
"B-Boss, we’re with the Yutong Group. We’re just getting paid to do a job. Please, spare us!"
"Yutong Group?" Jun Yue frowned upon hearing this.
"I don’t recall us having any dealings with your Yutong Group," Jun Yue said coldly.
The gangster gave a bitter smile and wiped the blood from his mouth. "We’re just following orders. This land belongs to the Yutong Group. We have a land use rights certificate too!"
"Impossible. This land has always belonged to the Grand Orphanage!" Jun Yue said icily.
"That’s not for us to decide. The land certificate decides!"
As he spoke, the gangster tremblingly took out his phone and showed the picture to Jun Yue.
Jun Yue took the phone, glanced at it, and her brow furrowed.
"Impossible, how can this be!"
Jiang Fan glanced over. The picture on the gangster’s phone was indeed a land use rights certificate.
"Qian’Er, does the director have the certificate?" Jiang Fan asked.
Li Qian’Er nodded and said hurriedly, "Of course. Otherwise, Junyue wouldn’t have been able to get the planning and construction permits!"
Hearing this, Jiang Fan’s anger flared.
"I don’t give a damn if your certificate is real or fake. You dare stop our construction crew for no reason and injure our people? I won’t let you off. Grab your shit and get the hell out!"
Hearing this, the group of thugs didn’t dare to linger. They scrambled into their van.
Just as the van was about to drive away, the gangster suddenly stuck his head out of the window.
"Fuck you! You just wait, I’ll be back soon! Don’t you dare run if you’ve got the guts!"
Jiang Fan sneered as he watched the group drive off.
At that moment, the gangster in the van took out his phone and made a call.
"Tao, it’s bad! Some guy came out of nowhere and beat us up. Yang is seriously injured too. We’re screwed if you don’t get here soon!"
"What? I’m on my way now!"
On Jiang Fan’s side, seeing that the bearded fatty and his gang had vanished, he shouted to the construction crew behind him, "Get back to work! I’ll take responsibility for any problems!"
The crew members just looked at each other, so Jiang Fan bellowed, "What are you standing around for?"
Startled by Jiang Fan’s roar, no one dared to slack off and they resumed construction.
Just then, a worried look appeared on Jun Yue’s face as she looked at Jiang Fan.
"This doesn’t seem so simple. Why would the Yutong Group suddenly get involved?"
"Junyue, you know of this Yutong Group?" Jiang Fan asked.
Jun Yue nodded and said in a low voice, "The Yutong Group is one of the Eight Great Clans of Yang City. In recent years, they’ve gradually shifted their business focus to the provincial capital, but they have ventures in every city, primarily in the real estate sector. With the development of the real estate industry, Yutong Group is on the verge of becoming the head of the Eight Great Clans."
"The Eight Great Clans again?" Jiang Fan sneered. "It feels like people from the Eight Great Clans are everywhere in Yang City."
He gritted his teeth and said coldly, "No matter what, our construction permits are all legal and aboveboard. Is this Yutong Group really going to try and seize the land by force?"
Hearing this, Jun Yue’s frown deepened.
"That’s the problem. I looked at their land use certificate just now, and it didn’t look like a fake!"
"How is that possible, Junyue!" Li Qian’Er became anxious. "This land has always belonged to our Grand Orphanage. There’s never been a dispute. How could someone show up to cause trouble right as we start construction?"
At this, Jun Yue said, "There’s something you don’t know. A tourist resort is about to be built nearby. It’s a key project planned by the Yang City Government, and the resort is right near our Grand Orphanage. A while ago, Hidden Dragon Academy had its opening ceremony. Even though their campus isn’t near our orphanage, it still generated a lot of buzz for us. This piece of land is a hot commodity now!"
Jiang Fan sighed after hearing this.
"No matter how valuable this land becomes, what’s ours is ours. Anyone who tries to snatch it shouldn’t blame me for being ruthless!"
Jun Yue looked at Jiang Fan and sighed. "The fact that the Yutong Group was able to get a land use right certificate means this isn’t a simple matter. If they insist on using it to cause trouble, we can’t afford to offend them!"
"Heh, Junyue, that’s where you’re wrong!" Jiang Fan said suddenly in a cold voice. "In this world, the weaker you are, the more people will walk all over you. On the contrary, you can only protect your rights by being strong yourself!"
This was a lesson Jiang Fan had learned from dealing with the Liu Family.
He said coldly, "Since it’s another one of the Eight Great Clans, let’s see just how much power they have! Didn’t that gangster tell me to wait? I’m curious to see just how big of a storm they can stir up!"
Jun Yue stared at the construction site, her brows tightly furrowed.
"Maybe we should call the police. Let’s wait for them to resolve this!"
"No need, Junyue!" Jiang Fan said calmly. "Some things the police can solve, and some things they can’t. If that gang was afraid of the police, they wouldn’t have gathered such a large group to cause trouble and injure Qian’Er!"
After hearing him, Jun Yue couldn’t help but sigh. She understood that there was some truth to Jiang Fan’s words.
"Junyue, don’t worry. I will protect you, protect the director, and protect the Grand Orphanage."
Hearing Jiang Fan’s words, Jun Yue managed a smile.
"Our little Jiang Fan has grown up now!"
"By the way, Junyue, how are things over at Hidden Dragon Academy?" Jiang Fan asked, changing the subject.
Jun Yue replied, "Over at the kindergarten, Ying is handling everything, so there are no major issues. We’ve hired professional teachers for the elementary, middle, and high school divisions. Our teaching staff is now second to none in Yang City, and operations are running smoothly. There’s nothing to worry about for now."
Jiang Fan nodded. Jun Yue then changed the subject again, saying, "The main problem now is that more and more orphanages are contacting us. The number of students has far exceeded our projections. They’re coming from all over Yang City, some even from surrounding towns. That’s why we need to continue building more classrooms and dorms here at our orphanage."
Jiang Fan frowned as well. He had originally thought that three dormitory buildings would be enough to solve the problem and had even planned to move the Grand Orphanage there later. It seemed the plan had changed.
