The Goddess CEO Fell in Love with Me
Chapter 65: An Unforgettable Experience
Chapter 65: Chapter 65: An Unforgettable Experience
"I am. What’s wrong?"
"Don’t do anything rash. Please, I’m begging you. He’s not afraid to kill."
"He crippled someone once and went to prison for it, but now he’s out."
Rong Anyao gripped Jiang Fan’s hand, her face full of pleading.
"You fucking slut, you dare get all lovey-dovey in front of me?"
"You lot, go beat that pretty boy half to death. Then drag this fucking slut into the alley. After I’m done with her, you can have your turn."
Long Hao, standing before them, suddenly roared in fury.
"You drive away first. It’ll be easier for me to run if I’m alone."
Jiang Fan whispered in her ear and gave her a push.
Then, without a moment’s hesitation, Jiang Fan snatched a beer bottle from the table and smashed it over Long Hao’s head.
Jiang Fan’s action stunned everyone present. No one had expected him to strike first, especially when facing seven or eight opponents.
"Fuck! You really think your Grandpa Niu is a pushover!"
The instant Jiang Fan made his move, Old Niu didn’t stay idle either. He grabbed a nearby chair and brought it crashing down on the closest gangster.
"You fucking dare to hit me?"
Just then, Red Hair, having come to his senses, stared at Jiang Fan with wide eyes, his face a mask of disbelief.
Jiang Fan sneered, grabbed him by the collar with his left hand, and slapped him twice across the face with the back of his right. Jiang Fan didn’t hold back on those two slaps.
In an instant, Red Hair’s face swelled up like a pig’s.
He even had two of his molars knocked out.
Tossing him to the ground like a dead dog, Jiang Fan charged at another gangster with yellow hair.
In just a short while, Jiang Fan and Old Niu had taken down all eight gangsters.
"You’re losing your touch, Old Niu. Looks like your combat prowess has declined."
Jiang Fan said with a mocking grin.
"I knew you wouldn’t be able to just let this go."
"But didn’t you go a little too hard on them?"
Old Niu glanced at the eight gangsters groaning on the ground.
Just then, police sirens blared. Five men in uniform rushed over, eyeing Jiang Fan and Old Niu warily.
Rong Anyao was right behind them.
"It’s right here! You have to see..."
But before she could finish, the words caught in her throat.
The only ones still standing were Jiang Fan and Old Niu. Everyone else was on the ground, and the one whose head was beaten to a pulp looked like Long Hao.
A crowd of onlookers had gathered, filming with their phones.
"You two, don’t move! You’re coming with us!"
Jiang Fan and Old Niu exchanged a look, shrugged helplessly, and held out their hands.
Seeing how cooperative the two were, the five officers breathed a sigh of relief.
A public brawl. This was already considered a serious disruption of public order.
"Also, you two, call an ambulance and get them to the hospital to see if they’re okay," the most senior-looking officer commanded.
Two younger officers immediately ran to the side and started making a call.
COUGH, COUGH, COUGH.
Jiang Fan suddenly coughed.
And just like that, Old Niu stiffly collapsed to the ground.
This startled everyone present.
"What’s wrong with him?"
"Someone hit him hard from behind with one of those chairs. I think it hit him in the head."
"He might have serious internal injuries. Get him to a hospital to get checked out."
Jiang Fan told this barefaced lie without so much as a blush.
"Get him to the hospital, too. You two, come with us."
And so, Rong Anyao and Jiang Fan were taken to the police station.
Meanwhile, the videos filmed by the onlookers went viral online, quickly trending.
"Explain yourselves clearly! Why start a public brawl? Why assault them so viciously?"
The older officer who had brought them in slammed his hand on the table and barked.
"Seriously, Officer? What is there to explain? We were forced to fight back."
"They were going to attack us. We couldn’t just stand there and take a beating, could we?"
Just as Jiang Fan finished speaking, a man entered with a file folder and said to Rong Anyao, "Sign this and you’re free to go."
"What about him?"
Rong Anyao asked anxiously, pointing at Jiang Fan.
"Him? Public brawling gets you three months, minimum!"
"And for being so vicious? They’ll throw the book at him. Probably half a year."
"The higher-ups are cracking down on cases like this right now. Unlucky for him he got caught up in it."
The officer holding the folder explained this much only because he found Rong Anyao attractive.
"But that group started it."
Rong Anyao was so frantic she was on the verge of tears.
If it weren’t for her, Jiang Fan wouldn’t be sitting here.
"Sorry, but the guys who’ve woken up at the hospital are all insisting he started it."
"Just sign it and get out of here."
"I’m not signing. I’m not leaving. I’m staying right here with him! We were framed!"
Rong Anyao shook her head, her stance resolute.
"There are security cameras nearby! You can check the footage!"
"Ma’am, if you continue to be difficult, we’ll have to take coercive measures."
After saying this, both officers left, leaving only Jiang Fan and Rong Anyao in the interrogation room.
"Why are you doing this to yourself? Just go. I’ll be fine. At worst, I’ll be locked up for a little while."
"They’ll be locked up too. Don’t worry, they won’t be able to harass you."
Jiang Fan grinned, looking completely carefree.
"You’re about to go to prison, how can you still smile? This is all my fault. If it weren’t for me, this wouldn’t have happened to you."
The more Rong Anyao spoke, the more wronged she felt on Jiang Fan’s behalf, and tears streamed down her face.
In his entire life, Jiang Fan had feared neither heaven nor earth. Not even his massive past debts had crushed him. The one thing he feared most was a woman’s tears.
The moment a woman cried, he was at a complete loss.
"Hey, don’t cry. I’m really fine."
With both his hands cuffed, he couldn’t even grab her a tissue.
"Grab a tissue yourself and wipe your tears. Stop crying."
"How about this? You go find Niu first. Tell him what’s happening here and see if he has a way to help, okay?"
After a moment’s thought, Jiang Fan decided his only option was to trick her into leaving.
"If you keep crying, I think I’ll really be a lost cause."
