Chapter 454: Chapter 169: What? Someone Ate to Death at Delicious?

"Hurry, hurry! We need to induce vomiting! The patient ate too much. Quick, help induce vomiting!" the paramedic’s voice grew even louder.

As the group pushed the stretcher toward the elevator, Ah Wu suddenly turned and ran back. "Wait for me! Just a second!"

Su Chen and the others watched as Ah Wu ran back to their table, picked up the now-cooled vermicelli soup, and loudly slurped down a mouthful!

He swallowed the broth and vermicelli after just a few chews, wiped his mouth, and hurried back into the elevator. "Damn, that’s delicious!"

As the elevator doors slowly closed, Su Chen finally let out a huge sigh of relief.

’As long as he makes it to the hospital, everything should be fine.’

"Alright, everyone, break it up! Go on back to your food and drinks."

Su Chen shouted at the top of his lungs for the onlookers to disperse—having so many people blocking the entrance just looked weird.

But clearly, his shouting didn’t do a damn thing.

"What the hell was that about? Turns out someone overate and landed himself in the hospital!"

"Holy shit, what was that guy eating? That’s insane! He actually ate his way into the hospital? I’ve lived this long and this is the first I’m ever hearing of something like that!"

"Unbelievable. Doesn’t he know his own stomach’s limits? To stuff himself so much he ends up in the hospital... It’s ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous!"

"Tsk, the food here at Delicious really does have that kind of Magic Power. Honestly, I almost ate myself into the hospital last month. Now, if I go a single day without eating their home-style dishes, I just don’t feel right."

"But then again, what was that dude eating that he landed in the hospital? The plates on his table looked like something I’ve never seen on the menu. Who’s the owner? What was that guy eating?"

Su Chen’s mouth twitched.

He squeezed his way out of the crowd and stood at the kitchen’s service window.

"I’m the owner. The customer just now was having a custom meal from our restaurant, Delicious: three types of snacks. If you’re interested, you can look forward to our new snack floor, which we’ll be launching in the near future."

Upon hearing this, the diners all began to cheer happily.

Su Chen breathed another sigh of relief. Even though there were still plenty of ingredients in the kitchen, now was clearly not the time to keep cooking.

He quickly told Ling Shuyu and the others to maintain order, then fled through the crowd, making a run for the nineteenth floor.

In the middle of the crowd, Zhang Yi, who had just been taken off the blacklist, clenched his fists tightly.

’If Boss Su really sets up that snack floor, I have to secure a stall ahead of time!’

If he’d had any worries a few hours ago, they were all gone now. Seeing someone eat Boss Su’s snacks and end up in the hospital from overeating, Zhang Yi’s last shred of doubt vanished completely.

’These snacks are guaranteed to be a hit!’

Despite his plump and honest appearance, Zhang Yi was actually quite calculating. He took out his phone and sent the short video he had just filmed to his wife.

"I’m eating with Fang Chang in the Development Zone, and you won’t believe this—someone ended up in the hospital because the food was so good they couldn’t stop eating! Haha! Isn’t that hilarious, honey?"

The purpose of the voice message was simple: Zhang Yi was laying the groundwork, planting a seed in his wife’s mind.

That way, when he finally decided to quit his job and start a business here, she would be more receptive to the idea.

And Zhang Yi wasn’t the only one.

Many of the diners had also been recording videos.

After all, if the customer had ended up in the hospital due to a food safety issue, the video would serve as good evidence if a problem arose later.

But they never expected the cause to be simple overeating.

Suddenly, the whole incident became hilarious.

"Haha, let me tell you guys something hilarious! I was eating in the Development Zone today, and some dude ate so much he had to be carried out on a stretcher into an ambulance!"

Something this funny just had to be shared on social media!

And so...

"This is hilarious. The food at this company really is as good as they say. It can actually make someone eat their way into the hospital!"

A short video with a caption appeared in a group chat. As more and more people saw it, the story began to change.

"What? The food at this company is so good that it killed someone from overeating?"

"Holy shit, this is insane! The food at some company in the Development Zone is so delicious that someone actually ate himself to death!"

"Damn! To actually eat yourself to death in this day and age... just how fucking delicious is that food? I’m going to try it tomorrow. I’m not going to eat myself to death too, am I?"

How fast do rumors spread?

「Two hours later.」

Su Chen was sitting in his office, idly scrolling through his phone, when he opened his social media feed.

[Principal Wang, City No. 3 Elementary]

He’d added him as a friend back when he was planning to get into the pre-packaged meal business. Even though that deal fell through, he had never deleted him.

[Terrifying! It’s the 21st century, and people can still eat themselves to death? What kind of Magic Power does this company’s food have to make someone eat until they die?]

Su Chen clicked on the video below the post.

It was the video of President Feng being carried out on the stretcher. The audio was clear enough to hear one of the paramedics say, "How much could he have eaten? How is it possible to eat this much?"

He had to admit, if you didn’t know what was really going on, the video and the caption were pretty convincing.

But Su Chen’s brow furrowed, and he was lost in thought.

’How did it escalate to this so suddenly? And how did it spread so fast?’

"Take care of these rumors."

Su Chen sent the message to Ling Shuyu from his phone.
