The Grey Rat's Demon Path

Chapter 391 - 333: A Pavilion Chat, Honglan Fairy

  • Next Chapter

Within the giant Spiritual Ship, there was a recreational area.

Spirit Plants breathed amidst numerous pavilions, the layout creating a very scenic atmosphere.

Not far from the pavilion where Xu Chang’an was located, there was another pavilion.

Inside it were quite a few female members of the Demon Race.

These members of the Demon Race were also Demon Fiends participating in this escort mission.

Each was dressed to the nines, a pleasing sight to behold.

These Demonesses, a flock of chattering beauties, were teasing one another.

“Honglan, don’t you feel like the quality of the new Demon Fiends who’ve joined in recent years isn’t that high?”

“Mm, it’s really not that high.”

The Demon Fiend known as Honglan nodded slightly.

She wore a long pink dress, her slightly curled hair cascading over her shoulders.

Her face was exquisite, with a rather bewitching air.

A Fairy like her would become the focus of any demonic crowd wherever she went.

In fact, once members of the Demon Race cultivated to their Realm, none of them were ugly, barring some peculiar preference or other special circumstances.

Appreciation among the Demon Race was more about one’s temperament.

And this Honglan Fairy’s charismatic temperament was enough to snatch away souls.

“Not at all! I think the Five Brothers of the Snow-Patterned Cyan Gang Demon Slaughter are pretty great!”

In the pavilion, a petite, loli-like Demon Fiend gave a different answer.

The Five Brothers of the Snow-Patterned Cyan Gang Demon Slaughter!

The blue-skirted Demon Fiend who had started the topic stiffened slightly at her words.

They were an exception. As Ji Meng Level Demon Fiends, they naturally weren’t within the scope of their discussion.

Their Cultivation was only at the Late-stage Void Refining, so being able to include ordinary Harmonious Demon Fiends in their considerations was already quite something.

It wasn’t uncommon for Demon Fiends to meet during missions and become Dao Companions.

Therefore, when these Demon Fiends gathered to chat, the topic of conversation would often turn to the male Demon Fiends.

Sharing interesting tidbits and juicy gossip was one of the ways they relieved the boredom of the journey.

“Hey, look over there!”

A Demon Fiend gestured toward the nearby pavilion.

“Isn’t that Fellow Daoist Zi Kui!”

The blue-skirted Demon Fiend said as she looked at a figure in the pavilion.

The Demon Fiend Zi Kui was a social butterfly. In just over thirty years, he had become intimately familiar with most of the other Demon Fiends.

They had interacted with him before as well.

Seeing him by chance now provided a new topic of conversation.

“It is Fellow Daoist Zi Kui! What? Is he bragging about that peerless Fairy of theirs again?”

“Haha, peerless Fairy or not, I don’t know. All I know is that no matter how peerless she is, she can’t be more beautiful than our Honglan!”

“True!”

“That said, for that peerless Fairy in the seven-colored palace dress to be hyped up by so many Demon Fiends, she must have some merits! Don’t you think?”

“So what if she has merits!? Among the Demon Fiends on this escort mission, some say Xiao Rong and Yu Jia have stunning temperaments and are extremely eye-catching! But from what I can see, they’re just so-so. Our Honglan is still prettier!”

“I agree!”

“Look, that young man in the pavilion has a really nice temperament!”

“Where? Let me see! Hmm… not bad! He passes in my book. I’d rank him upper-middle!”

“Only upper-middle? Yaya, your standards are really high!”

“You don’t get it! So what if his temperament is good? With a Late-stage Void Refining Cultivation, getting an upper-middle rank from me is already pretty good! If I’m looking for a Dao Companion, he has to be at least Shangyang Level!”

The Demon Fiend called Yaya was the one in the blue dress.

Her features were exquisite, and her temperament was indeed quite good too.

With her qualifications, it wouldn’t be difficult to find a Demon Fiend in the Unity Realm as a Dao Companion.

However, she had high standards; it had to be a Shangyang-level Demon Fiend at the very least.

“Yaya has a point. Without strength, a good temperament is meaningless! That young man is suitable to be a concubine, but not a Dao Companion!”

“A concubine! Sister, you sure know how to joke!”

Yaya, in her long blue dress, covered her mouth and laughed.

“Why don’t we go over and have a chat?”

She suggested.

“Sure! We’re bored anyway.”

A Demon Fiend chimed in.

“Honglan, want to go check it out?”

Yaya looked at Honglan Fairy beside her.

“Me? You guys can go. I’ll stay here.”

Honglan Fairy sat primly on the stone bench, her long dress draping around her as she put on a reserved air.

Yet, her reserve was tinged with a bewitching, soul-snatching allure. The combination was truly hard to resist.

“Come on! Please!”

Yaya whined playfully.

Honglan Fairy looked up at the nearby pavilion. Among the many Demon Fiends, her eyes landed on that youthful Child, and they couldn’t help but light up.

‘His temperament really is quite good!’

“Alright. Let’s go take a look then! But let me make it clear, no heckling!”

Honglan Fairy agreed, feigning reluctance.

“Don’t you worry, Honglan! We definitely won’t heckle.”

The flock of chattering beauties left their pavilion and headed toward the one nearby.

Xu Chang’an sat in the pavilion, listening to the surrounding Demon Fiends shooting the breeze.

Occasionally, he could even pick up some information.

Although this information wasn’t very useful, it was always good to know more.

For example, the demons in charge of the Blood Corpse Commerce were its two vice-presidents.

Their specific Cultivation was unknown.

However, they should at least be at the Late-stage Integration Realm, comparable to a Ji Meng Level Demon Fiend.

For another example, among the Blood Corpse Commerce’s own guards, there was an Elder Yan Gui with transcendent combat power.

In a previous great battle, with a single Divine Technique, he had slain no fewer than ten members of the Harmonization Demon Race.

And so on.

Just as Xu Chang’an was enjoying listening in, he saw a flock of chattering beauties enter the pavilion, moving with graceful, lotus-like steps.

“It’s Honglan Fairy! And Yaya!”

As the group of Fairies entered the pavilion, the Demon Fiends inside grew rather excited.

Even the few Demon Fiends who had just been saying that Honglan Fairy wasn’t as good as Yu Jia or Xiao Rong now acted quite enthusiastic.
