Chapter 483 - 482: Holy Seal
Chapter 483: Chapter 482: Holy Seal
In a silent, silvery-white space, countless turbulent air currents surged without a single echo. The surroundings were like a void, and in the center of this void stood a milky-white, Nine-Layered Tower emitting a soft white light, an incredibly jarring sight.
This was the Void Tower, swallowed by spatial turbulence. Inside the Void Tower, Qin Ya looked at the Void Saint before him, the corner of his mouth twitching as he said, "You’re saying we were swept into the Void by spatial turbulence, is that right?"
The Void Saint nodded and said helplessly, "That’s right. If it weren’t for the Void Tower, this Sacred Artifact, we would have been torn to shreds by that spatial turbulence long ago. It’s quite a coincidence, really. You happen to possess a portion of Void Power."
"What? The Void Tower’s power?"
"Correct. The energy contained within that mask was a portion of the Void Tower’s lost power. I never thought you would be the one to acquire it. It was this power reintegrating with the Void Tower that caused this situation."
"So what do we do now?" Qin Ya asked.
He felt utterly helpless. ’Who could have known that someone had taken the Void Tower’s power and forged it into a Forbidden Artifact, which I then coincidentally obtained? No wonder the mask’s abilities were so miraculous—its core was the power of the Void Tower.’
"Perhaps we’ll drift in this Void Space forever. Perhaps we’ll crash into some kind of Fragment Space. Or maybe we’ll run into a spatial tunnel opened by some powerful expert and be able to get out. In short... nothing is certain."
Qin Ya felt an immense sense of frustration, wishing he could just pin the Void Saint to the ground and give him a good beating. ’The Void Space is massive! God knows how low the chances of any of that happening are. You’re a magnificent Saint, can’t you think of a single reliable plan?’
Suddenly, the Void Saint’s eyes lit up. "That’s right! The Void Tower’s power has increased now that it has reabsorbed that energy. Perhaps I can spend a few days in comprehension. Once I’ve mastered this new power, I can try to break through the Void Space."
"What’s the probability of success?"
"Not high. Around thirty percent, I’d say."
"Better than nothing," Qin Ya said. Then, as if remembering something, he asked, "The energy the Void Tower just released surged into my Divine Acupoint and formed a tower-shaped seal. What is that? Is it the inheritance you spoke of?"
"Something like that," the Void Saint said. "A Sacred Artifact, unlike a Spiritual Artifact, is not merely an object with a spirit. It is a manifestation of Holy Dao Rules, and one of a Saint’s most important assets. To control one, you must possess a Holy Seal. Normally, only Saints can have a Holy Seal. However, through a stroke of fortune, I became the Void Tower’s Artifact Spirit—a being that shouldn’t exist—which is why I was able to implant the Holy Seal in you ahead of time."
"Although you can’t use the Holy Seal to wield the Void Tower yet, you can comprehend the Holy Dao Rules on it. This will be of immense benefit to you. You must understand, this Void Sacred Seal corresponds to the Space Holy Dao, one of the very top-tier Holy Daos. If you can comprehend it, your future will be infinite."
"Space?" A fervent glint flashed in Qin Ya’s eyes. The power of Space was one of the strongest forces in existence. It was no exaggeration to say that if he could master such a power, the entire world would be his to command!
"Alright, I will first familiarize myself with the Void Tower’s current power. You should use this time to comprehend the power of the Void Sacred Seal," the Void Saint said with a faint smile.
Qin Ya sat down cross-legged, sinking his consciousness into his Divine Acupoint.
Within his Divine Acupoint, a white sigil shaped like a Nine-Layered Treasure Tower hovered in the air. The surrounding, tide-like Divine Thought receded from it on all sides, forming a clear space. With a mental nudge, Qin Ya tried to approach the airborne Void Sacred Seal with a tendril of his Divine Thought.
POP...
As if hitting an invisible barrier, Qin Ya’s Divine Thought was repelled. His brow furrowed. Unwilling to give up, he spurred his Divine Thought onward and rushed it forward again.
Like a tidal wave, his Divine Thought surged toward the Holy Seal, yet it was blocked, unable to advance an inch. The Holy Seal was forcefully dominating a region of his Divine Acupoint.
’Could it be that the intensity of my Divine Thought is too low to comprehend it?’
"Try a few more times." At that moment, the Void Saint’s voice slowly echoed.
"Er, will trying a few more times actually do anything?"
"Mm. Just try it and see."
Resigned, Qin Ya had no choice but to continue. The power within his Divine Acupoint surged, relentlessly battering the invisible barrier around the Holy Seal. Roughly a day passed like this.
In that single day, Qin Ya’s Divine Thought had actually drawn several degrees closer to the Holy Seal. He felt that if he just persevered a while longer, he could make contact with the area of white light.
「Another two days passed...」
On this day, Qin Ya was still assailing the Holy Seal with his Divine Thought.
With a sudden jolt, his Divine Thought touched the white light radiating from the Holy Seal. Instantly, a wave of mysterious comprehension flooded his mind. Everything around him seemed to dissolve into nothingness as countless lines, points, and planes appeared.
Elsewhere in the Void Tower, the Void Saint also sensed the change in Qin Ya. A hint of astonishment flickered in his gaze, and the corner of his lip curled into a faint smile. "To comprehend the Space Mysteries on his very first contact with the Void Sacred Seal... such astounding talent for comprehension is truly a rare sight to behold."
Sensing the dense, innumerable points, lines, and planes around him, Qin Ya was filled with astonishment. ’So this is what the Space Mysteries look like.’ With a nudge of his Divine Thought, he tried to touch those points and lines, only to find them exceptionally resilient.
It was as if... they were indestructible.
"This is the Void Tower. The stability of Space here is tens, even hundreds of times greater than the outside world. You, a little rookie who has just begun to grasp the Space Mysteries, think you can shake it?"
The Void Saint’s voice suddenly rang out. Qin Ya slowly emerged from that wondrous state and asked, "How is your control of the power coming along?"
The Void Saint nodded. "With the Void Tower’s current strength, a full-power strike should be able to break through the walls of this Void Space and get us to the Outer World. However, I can’t guarantee where exactly we’ll end up."
"We won’t end up outside the Azure Sky Realm, will we?"
After Qin Ya spoke, he saw the Void Saint looking at him with a half-smile. He froze, then said with uncertainty, "That’s not really going to happen, is it?"
"Heh, no, that won’t happen. Not even I, in my prime, could have broken through the barrier of the Azure Sky Realm. However..." The Void Saint’s tone shifted. "It is possible that we’ll fall into another Subspace within the Azure Sky Realm."
Hearing this, Qin Ya’s brow furrowed. "What do you mean by that?"
"The Abyss. Ever heard of it?" the Void Saint asked with a smile.
"The place where the Demon Race lives? But wasn’t it sealed away?"
"Correct, it was sealed. The Abyss is actually a Subspace, a higher-level existence than a Fragment Space. The Azure Sky Realm is the main world. We won’t fall outside the main world, but landing in a Subspace is a possibility."
"That’s still better than just drifting around here forever."
Qin Ya said nonchalantly. Subspaces like the Abyss were extremely rare; only a few of them existed. If they really ended up there, it would just be a case of terrible luck.
