The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse
Chapter 1802: Return of the Asura Race (29)
THUD!
A body was tossed aside, crashing into the dirt. Then, from the dust, Khana, the Grand Alpha Chaos Wolf, walked out, her claws dripping with blood.
The Foreign Race Primordial that Axarax had summoned now lay dead, his body littered with claw marks. Clearly, he had died a very painful death, something that made Klaus smile when he saw it.
It was clear he had underestimated Khana.
The pressure that the Foreign Race Primordial brought was even greater than that of the Primordials from the Chaos Race. So he never expected her to actually kill him this early.
But she did, and looking at her walk away without even looking back, Klaus immediately knew he had to get into her good graces. If he could give her his blood, then who was to say she might not just become a monster in her own right?
Even now, she was someone even Klaus was scared of.
She didn’t say anything to him and just rushed over to the location where her warriors were fighting and joined them.
Klaus smiled and turned to Axarax. "Your only hope now is to call down a dozen Primordials. However, if you can’t do that, then allow me to enlighten you."
He looked at the crack and said, "Right now, the only thing holding me back is that the gate is still locked. Once it opens and my warriors are out, I can finally get the time to display why a Paragon only grows stronger during moments like this."
Klaus chuckled, relishing the dark expression on Axarax’s face...
"You thought you were here to kill me with overwhelming numbers; however, I saw it as a chance to grow stronger. The more I kill, the more undead my subordinates can add to their ranks. The best part is, he doesn’t have to keep them the way they are, since he can make them much stronger.
So no matter what, you have to understand that after this battle, if I live, then the next one will be much easier since the number of Primordials and Pseudo-Primordials I will command will number in the thousands."
As if to prove a point, the body of the Foreign Race Primordial vanished into thin air, just like the one Danny had killed. Even the other half of the Primordial that Matthew had killed was also nowhere to be found.
Klaus planned to use Asmodeus to build a much bigger and more powerful undead legion.
This was because he now understood what had changed after he had been away for so long.
He also had this nagging feeling that once he started inheriting his legacy, the ending he had been waiting for would start knocking at his doorstep.
So this battle might be chaotic and even sad, as he had lost some of his Beasts, but it would also strengthen him.
"So Axarax, whatever you have planned, know that soon, I will be the one coming after you to show them. Until then, watch how I slaughter the Chaos Race down to the last of them."
Axarax smirked, but deep within, he knew that with these reinforcements aiding Klaus, he stood no chance today.
"I will remember this, Paragon, and next time when we meet, you will finally understand the kind of monster you have off—"
An arrow embedded itself in his brain, resulting in him losing his third body, leaving him with only five.
This time, the arrow came from Rory, who was loading a second bolt. Axarax immediately became alert, but he had clearly underestimated the power behind Rory’s arrows.
A second arrow streaked through the air and embedded itself in his chest. The body that was attacked flew back and slammed into a mountain. The remaining four soon found themselves besieged by the archers in the Harem and Legions.
Nari, Rory, and some of the archers from the Insect and Puppet Legions started raining down arrows at the poor bastard, who found himself cornered.
"I will not forget this, Paragon."
His four bodies, abandoning the one with the arrow sticking out of his chest, retreated, or at least they tried to.
"Demon Killing Circle!"
It had been many years since Klaus used this technique.
However, to kill Axarax and reduce the number of bodies he possessed, he unleashed the technique, triggering the Demon Killing Circle that can be used to trap the targets until either they all die or they manage to kill their opponents.
This time, he trapped all four bodies of Axarax with his wives, along with the Insect and Puppet warriors. It was a 4-against-67 situation.
There was no way he would survive such an onslaught.
"Enjoy yourself, Axarax, for there is more where that came from." Klaus laughed and focused his attention back on the other battlefields around him.
They had 2.5 minutes until the gate opened.
Luckily, the six Patriarchs were not coming after the ladies again. Perhaps it was because of the embarrassment they had brought upon themselves, or they had finally seen reason and recognised who they could afford to offend and who could not be messed with.
They understood that they had come dangerously close to annihilating their own families.
Had it not been for Matthew, they would have watched as their families were reduced to piles of corpses. That, and the fact that Klaus now had reinforcements, had compelled them to see reason.
Unfortunately for Drakhar, for hurting Lily and Vida, Klaus had no intention of letting him off.
Even though they didn’t know what Klaus would do once he was no longer under pressure, they stopped fighting back. But they were still surrounded on all sides by the Undead, Puppet, and Insect warriors.
Time slowly continued to pass, and before long, only ten seconds remained.
’It is happening.’ Klaus turned and looked to his right, where, 800 meters away, a mountain split in half and a large door was revealed.
Queenie stood up, and the three Asura Fates followed. They flew toward the door, and Klaus followed them using three bodies. Hunter and the five uncles also followed.
When they were close to the door, Aster cut her palm and pressed it against the door.
HUMMMMMM!
A powerful hum rang out, and the sky turned red.
RUMBLE!
The heavens let out a cry, but it was already too late. The gate opened in the middle, and the two large doors swung wide, revealing a deep-red portal swirling with Blood Qi.
"HAHAHAHAHAH... FINALLY!"
Bone-chilling laughter came from the portal, and then the Blood General walked out wearing a smile on his handsome face.
