The Mage's 5 Fated Alphas (BL)
Chapter 130: Trampled on Xirang
And judging by the plucking, those who were here before probably fled when they came inside.
The stem was still fresh.
A general behind her chuckled darkly. "Smart. At least they know when to run."
The warriors quickly harvested the remaining herbs.
None of them questioned why they left this treasure without taking all of it.
They all believed those fugitives, though they had a witch with them, could not possibly possess high-grade storage, nor did they believe the black witch was really powerful.
Or else why did he need to find Levi for protection?
To them, it was simply their good fortune.
Inside the palace, Moon watched quietly.
The real Starlily Sanctuary was already sealed far away under Lupine’s restriction. What these people were taking was only the outer layer he and Xiao Hong had deliberately left behind.
Though his heart still hurt, it was better for the long run.
.
.
The third screen showed that the third path was different.
This was the Xirang cave, and they didn’t have much time to make arrangements.
Moon’s face turned a little tight the moment the Blackthorn group stepped deeper.
Ghost Master was still inside the real Xirang Hall.
The boundary restriction was only half-finished. Moon couldn’t see the master, so he wasn’t sure what he was doing.
"Faster," Moon muttered under his breath.
Just a fraction before the Blackthorn Shadow Lord stepped inside the hall, the hall’s main part vanished, leaving the upper soil revealed.
"..."
"Damn it, the Xirang soil is still there, almost one-tenth," Nox cried out!
Moon felt a heartache.
Is it still too late to go grab the soil?
He needed this more than anything else. This soil could make his alchemy carrier bloom like fireworks. But it would be too risky to go out.
In the mirror, the Blackthorn people finally walked into the last space.
It looked almost empty.
Damp black soil covered the ground.
A few ordinary-looking plants grew sparsely along the walls. No glowing crystals. No obvious treasure racks. Just mud, dripping water, and a faint earthy smell.
Blackthorn’s Shadow Lord frowned.
"This is it?"
One of his generals kicked the ground. "Feels like just dirt."
"Do you think those bastards and Levi stole it all?"
"No, look. This ground has no footsteps before us, and there should be something left over if the cave had any resources."
"True. Looks like our luck is bad! My lungs were burned out for no reason, ugh!"
"Damn..."
"Sigh..."
"Let’s take our part from others."
They dug around for a while, pulling up a few weak herbs and some broken pieces of old metal that looked worthless.
The living Xirang soil was right under their boots.
They stepped on it, dug through it, and even threw handfuls of it aside while searching for something better.
None of them noticed anything unusual.
"Waste of time," the Shadow Lord finally spat. Though his eyes were still suspicious.
They turned around and left, still complaining.
Just before the Shadow Lord left, he turned and, on a whim, took a bag out and put some soil inside.
"What are you doing, Lord?" the general asked.
"I just felt this soil looked unusual. Let’s examine it in the research den."
"Should we take more?"
The lord thought for a moment, then shook his head.
Their storage was limited. If he filled them with some useless soil, he would be a laughing stock later. Better keep them free for later negotiation among other packs. So he just took a bag of soil, then left.
After the group left, the land suddenly shook, and the entire cave floor collapsed, leaving a black hole. The ground and soil were all gone.
Inside the Flaming Garden,
Moon exhaled sharply. He was really afraid his precious soil would be gone.
Others just stared at the mirror silently.
Lupine and Xiao Hong floated closer, eyes wide.
Nox’s mouth opened and closed a few times.
Ugo’s brow twitched.
For a long moment, none of them spoke.
The most precious living soil in the entire Lost Realm had just been trampled, dug up, and thrown away like ordinary mud... and the people who did it walked out feeling disappointed.
"Hahaha... Hahaha... Hahahahaha..." Axe started to laugh out loud. So loud that even the bed he was sitting on shook with him.
Lupine followed suit.
"Idiots," he grumbled.
Moon rubbed his temple.
"...They really didn’t recognize it. It’s not their fault. I wouldn’t have recognized it either if I didn’t see a fistful in my mother’s pouch."
.
.
.
The fourth group entered the path that once led to the Lupine Palace.
Vaelis’s people moved carefully at first.
The tunnel was the same as the others. Damp, narrow, and dark.
But after a while, the ground suddenly dropped away.
A deep cliff opened beneath their feet. It was the same cliff Axe and Oshan had once crossed.
Vaelis’s Shadow Lord narrowed his eyes. "Jump. The other side must have the real treasure."
Several warriors obeyed without thinking.
The moment their feet left the edge, the ancient Extreme Yang Metal Magnetic Array that had been left in the palace path since the old days activated.
Instead of falling, their bodies shot upward, then sideways, then spun in mid-air.
"What the...?!"
"Fuck! Why am I floating?!"
"I can’t control...!"
One after another, the Vaelis people who jumped were caught in the invisible force and began bouncing endlessly between the high stone walls and the space above the cliff.
Their bodies slammed against the rock, rebounded, spun, and slammed again.
The impact was brutal on their poisoned flesh. Several weaker common sentinels let out pathetic yelps as the black veins crawled up their chests.
The ones who hadn’t jumped yet stood at the edge, mouths open in utter bewilderment, completely frozen by the terrifying sight.
Vaelis’s Shadow Lord stared at his men flying around like helpless rag dolls and felt a vein bulge on his forehead.
"Stop jumping, you idiots!"
It was too late to warn them.
More than half of his group was already stuck in the mid-air rebound, cursing and spinning without any way to land, their weapons clattering against the stone as they bounced like pinballs.
Inside the palace, Axe, who had been leaning against the wall, suddenly grinned.
"Heh... Idiots. Not all have my brilliant brain!"
