Chapter 186: Getting Rich (Bonus Chapter for Golden Ticket)
Ugo shook his head. "You should have made things clear first."
"I at least made the arrangements! You saw how those packs were acting, practically biting at us the moment they saw us," Nox snapped.
"Okay, okay. Don’t take it so seriously. Can’t you tell he isn’t really that eager for siki? Let’s just go inside," Moon said, trying to calm them down.
He knew what Levi was after, and he had plenty of it. So he followed the others inside without a worry.
They went upstairs to Levi’s private room.
It consisted of two adjoining rooms, one small and one large. The smaller room had a table and several couches, where Moon and the others settled down.
Marina let out a long sigh of relief as she removed her cloak. After wearing it throughout the journey, the initial excitement of hiding beneath it had long since faded.
Moon couldn’t help ruffling her hair.
Levi sat down on the couch opposite them, rolled up his sleeves, and rested his face against his fist.
"Now... about the 30,000..." he began.
"I will not give you the pill formula. Think of something else," Moon cut him off immediately, dismissing whatever delusion Levi had been entertaining.
"Oh? You didn’t even give me a chance to say it." Levi chuckled.
"Why bother talking so much? Let’s keep it short. Just tell me what you want." Moon shrugged.
"What do you have?"
"As usual, the Black Sea Poison Pill, Rejuvenation Pills, Recovery and Healing Pills, fasting pills, Sleeping Powder, and Anti-Sleep Pills," Moon listed.
Levi suppressed his surprise. ’So many pills, all this refined in such a short time?’
"But let me be clear. I don’t want to sell the Black Sea Poison Pills to someone who will disturb my peace," Moon said as he took out a few vials and looked straight at Levi.
"Well, I also don’t want too many people getting them when I don’t have much stock." Levi smiled as he took the bottles.
"The low-grade ones cost 1,500 siki each. I tested them. They can remove almost all the poison, but some residue remains if the poisoning is severe. The mid-grade pills lasted a full day inside the gorge. Last time, my elder and I had no problems after coming back. So, I’ll be generous and give you a price of 5,000 siki each."
"10,000 each," Moon said.
Hearing this, Nox almost tripped over his own hand as he listened.
Moon paid him no attention.
Now that he had a little understanding of the costs and expenses in Monalis, there was no way he would sell them so cheaply.
He wouldn’t be staying in Malong City forever, and moving to any major city would cost thousands more.
Besides, he knew he couldn’t sell these poison-removing pills in large quantities and would eventually have to stop selling them altogether.
Levi laughed out loud. "That’s too much."
"No bargaining. You can buy the others cheaply, but not the poison-removing pills. Also, I’ll only sell five. No more."
"Make it ten. I’ll be honest with you. I want to send a Sea Hawk team into the Southern Ring," Levi confessed.
Moon raised his brows. "To search for a secret realm?"
"No. I don’t think we’ll find any secret realm there, at least not for now. But with the spiritual fluctuations, many strange fish and plants have surfaced that I don’t recognize. There are also Moon’s Tears. But without any pills, no one can stay there long or dive deep."
Moon was confused.
"That’s not the Black Sea Gorge."
"But it’s still very close to the main gorge, and there’s still poisonous air. Not much, but enough to be dangerous. I want to send ten people there. Ten mid-grade pills will be enough for them to spend two days inside."
Moon thought for a moment, then took out twenty low-grade pills.
"These will do."
"Total: 80,000," Nox prompted.
Levi didn’t push any further.
This amount was already beyond his expectations, considering how little time Moon had had to prepare the pills.
He curiously examined the other pills.
He was the Crown Prince of the Elysian Crown, although he had refused to inherit the pack.
Still, he had seen treasures that other mid-ranked packs rarely encountered.
He had seen pills and elixirs, and a fixed quantity of them was always reserved for his pack by both the Healing Academy and the Witches’ Elixir Academy.
Their own Grand Maestro and High Priestess could also brew elixirs and occasionally concoct pills, but that was certainly rare.
They mostly relied on elixirs, so Levi was very interested in this new type of pill.
He picked up each one and took note of its properties.
The fasting pills were new to him. They had no need for such things.
Why bother with a pill like that when they could simply hunt game and eat? Even raw meat was an option.
He held the fasting pills for a while, unable to understand why Moon had concocted something like them.
Still, he bought some for his own collection and research.
Recovery and Rejuvenation Pills were useful.
Especially the restoration pill.
Although werewolves could heal wounds, not every wolf could heal instantly. And the low graded wolf, omega’s also need them.
Monalis have also a large portion of people wolf less and just a normal people.
But packs like Vaelis or Elysian don’t really care about them.
He bought thirty Rejuvenation Pills, ten fasting pills, and twenty of the other pills.
Moon only brought out that many.
He had more, but he kept the rest for themselves.
At last, Moon hesitated before bringing out the Sleeping Powder and Anti-Sleep Pill he had used in the scavenger incident.
"This... is only for you. Don’t give it to others. It can make scavengers sleep for a day."
Levi’s eyes brightened.
He took the powder and calculated the total.
Apart from the poison pills, he paid a flat rate of 500 siki for each of the other hundred pills. They weren’t as rare and could be replaced with elixirs. Besides, they were all low-grade. Moon kept the mid- and high-grade ones for himself.
By the time Moon finally left the inn, his pouch was full of 130,000 siki. Levi had also given him thirty scavenger spirit cores in exchange for the Sleeping Powder.
Moon was extremely happy to have made the sale without exposing himself.
"Let’s go to our inn first," he said.
