The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas
Chapter 82: I know
Cassian’s ears were still ringing even after he left the dean’s office. Many of the things the dean had said made no sense to him.
After taking a few moments to calm himself, he walked back toward the dormitory hallway, carrying the thick book the academy dean had given him. However, his steps came to a halt when he reached the corner leading to his room. One of Leonhardt’s subordinates was already waiting for him there.
The man approached without showing the slightest respect.
"Is there something you need?" Cassian asked coldly.
"This belongs to your Draven family." The man handed a wooden box to Cassian.
"What is this?" Cassian asked, lowering his head to examine the wooden box.
"Don’t let Miss Liliana wear things like this again. The Morovela Imperial Family has never allowed anyone to wear items from the human world."
Cassian frowned before opening the box. Inside lay a silver earring set with a red stone.
"Liliana’s power will..."
Leonhardt’s subordinate shook his head. "The Crown Prince has already found another way to conceal Miss Liliana’s power. At least that method is far more effective than this pathetic earring of yours."
After saying that, the man immediately left without offering any further explanation. He walked through the dormitory hallways until he eventually disappeared from sight.
Cassian closed the box and continued walking toward his room.
The next morning, academy activities officially resumed. The dean’s people had finished dealing with the remaining problems caused by the Nightfangs the previous night.
Wearing her new uniform, Liliana walked toward her classroom with Cassian. Her silver hair had been changed back to black because it was too conspicuous, while the scars on her face had also been restored to their original appearance.
When they arrived at Liliana’s classroom, Cassian stopped in front of the door.
"Go inside. My classroom is at the end of the hallway. If anything happens, come find me immediately. All your mates are in the same class as me," he said.
Liliana smiled faintly and nodded.
Cassian gently ruffled her hair before turning toward his own classroom.
Mirena Academy had seven classes, each with its own requirements.
The first class was the elite class, which could only be entered by the twenty best candidates for Alpha succession and descendants of the Morovela Imperial Family.
The second class was intended for Alpha successors with ordinary abilities, while the third class consisted of descendants of Alpha families.
The fourth class was made up of werewolves who were merely ordinary pack members. The remaining three classes were open to anyone who wished to study specific fields.
Initially, Liliana had been placed in the last class. However, after her status as a member of the Alpha family of Pack Draven was recognized, she was transferred to the third class.
Liliana entered the room slowly, looking for an empty seat among the students. She had skipped many classes, even from the very first day of the academy’s lessons.
A few pairs of eyes glanced at her as she passed through the door, but soon returned to chatting with the classmates beside them.
Liliana stopped at a seat in the corner of the room. After placing her books on the desk, she sat down quietly and began reading.
Her long black hair was neatly tied back.
"Have you found out who our Crown Prince’s mate is?" a girl nearby asked.
The girl sitting beside her shook her head. "The Crown Prince has no intention of announcing it to the public. But clearly, that girl is somewhere in this academy."
"Could she be in our class?" The first girl glanced around. "After all, the mate of the Crown Prince of the Morovela Empire couldn’t possibly come from an ordinary werewolf family."
Another girl glanced briefly at Liliana before shaking her head. "I heard that girl has silvery white hair, just like our goddess. But no one in this class has hair like that."
Several students also glanced at Liliana before nodding in agreement.
"You’re right. The only new student in our class is that black-haired girl with the ugly face. There’s no way she could be the Crown Prince’s mate. His mate must be someone perfect, at least on par with the Empress of the Morovela Empire," one of them said.
"I heard that girl is incredibly beautiful," another chimed in. "Even though the Crown Prince used magic to disguise his Luna’s face, everyone who saw her at the gates yesterday acknowledged the aura of beauty radiating from her."
The people around them nodded faintly.
"But do you know something?" Another girl leaned forward and lowered her voice so that only a few people nearby could hear her. "A student with a keen sense of smell said he detected the scent of another wolf on the Crown Prince’s Luna."
The people around her immediately covered their mouths, then shook their heads in disbelief.
"Watch what you say," one of her friends warned. "The Morovela Imperial Family has never had a Luna so disgraceful that she was once another wolf’s mate."
The others nodded in agreement.
"The Moon Goddess has always protected the Morovela Empire and blessed them with perfect mates. She would never give the Crown Prince an unsuitable mate."
The girl who had shared the rumor looked at them one by one before nodding.
"I know. Besides, it’s only a rumor. With the Emperor of the Morovela Empire backing the Crown Prince, he will surely eliminate anyone who stands in his son’s way."
Liliana’s body tensed for a moment. Her hand instinctively tugged at the collar of her academy uniform, trying to hide the scent of her four mates. Although she knew this action would do absolutely nothing to help, she did it anyway.
Liliana lowered her head again, trying to focus on the book in front of her. However, the sound of someone knocking on her desk made her look up.
Her brown eyes immediately settled on a girl standing beside her desk. The girl’s face looked almost identical to Liliana’s before she had disguised her appearance.
Valerie.
The girl smiled mockingly. "Liliana."
"Do you need something?" Liliana asked.
"Come to the academy library after class." Valerie’s tone sounded more like an order.
Liliana frowned. "I don’t have time to waste on you."
Valerie’s smile disappeared the moment those words left Liliana’s mouth. Her hand moved quickly, grabbing Liliana’s hair as if the action had become a habit.
"Did you just refuse me?"
The conversation in the classroom suddenly stopped. The students turned their attention toward Liliana, waiting for her reaction.
Liliana scoffed and quickly shoved Valerie away.
Thud!
"Valerie, have you forgotten my current status again?"
