The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas
Chapter 85 You’re my Luna
The man with red hair and red eyes walked toward them.
Bam!
Xavier kicked Adrian squarely in the stomach, sending him crashing to the floor.
After that, Xavier helped Liliana back to her feet. "Are you okay?" he asked.
Liliana looked up at Xavier before shaking her head. "I’m fine. I was just a little startled."
Xavier nodded, then turned to look at Adrian, Alaric, and Valerie, who were now staring at him and Liliana in disbelief.
Without wasting any time, Xavier moved swiftly using his power. He immediately stepped on Adrian, who had yet to recover from the sudden attack.
"Which hand did you use to touch my Luna?" Xavier asked.
His phoenix-shaped red eyes narrowed. His dominant demeanor made his masculine aura even more pronounced.
Adrian flinched. He finally realized what was happening and immediately turned toward Liliana with an incredulous look.
"You two? What do you mean?"
Alaric frowned at the sight of his brother being pinned down. He immediately released his Alpha aura and moved to kick Xavier, who was still standing on Adrian with complete confidence.
However, before his foot could reach Xavier, the red-haired man moved first. He lifted Adrian’s body and used him as a shield.
Crash!
Adrian was sent flying by Alaric’s own kick, then slammed into the bookshelf in front of them.
Alaric froze for a moment, unable to believe that his attack had struck his own brother instead.
Xavier merely gave a mocking smile when he saw what had happened.
"I thought your Pack Beaumont was already bad enough. Who would’ve thought you were even worse than I’d imagined?"
Adrian quickly got back to his feet and wiped the blood from his lips. He shot Alaric an unmistakably irritated look before turning his attention back to Liliana.
"Liliana, what does all this mean?" he asked.
Liliana furrowed her brows. She genuinely had no idea what Adrian wanted to know by asking that question.
Seeing that Liliana had no intention of answering, Adrian gritted his teeth.
"You let a man like this become your partner?" he shouted. "Have you become so incapable of controlling your lust that you let a wolf like him sleep with you?"
Xavier’s eyes narrowed sharply.
He grabbed Adrian by the collar and shoved him against the wall.
"Adrian, do you think you’re superior to me?" Xavier asked coldly. "Have you not even realized how inferior your weak wolf is?"
Adrian glared back at him. He tried to free his collar from Xavier’s grip, but no matter how hard he struggled, Xavier’s hand did not budge.
"Look," Xavier said mockingly. "You can’t even break free from my grip. So what gives you the right to claim that my status is beneath yours?"
Crash!
Xavier suddenly turned around and kicked Alaric, who had tried to attack him from behind again.
Valerie swallowed nervously. Her eyes widened as she watched both men being humiliated so easily. Without realizing it, she took several steps back to distance herself from Xavier.
"So, these are the future Alphas of Pack Beaumont?" Xavier scoffed. "Pathetic."
Without a second thought, Xavier threw Adrian to the floor, causing the man to spit out a mouthful of blood.
"That’s enough," Liliana said, grabbing Xavier’s hand as he prepared to finish them off. "This is an academy. Don’t make things any worse."
Xavier glanced at Liliana. His slightly long red hair fell over his eyelids, making him look even more attractive.
If the female students at the academy saw him now, they would probably scream hysterically and call out his name.
However, Liliana showed no particular reaction. She was already satisfied with the handsome faces of her four partners when they marked her.
A faint smile appeared on Xavier’s lips.
"I’ll listen to my Luna," he said, gently patting Liliana’s shoulder.
After that, the two of them turned and left the library.
Behind them, Valerie stared in disbelief at Liliana walking side by side with the future Alpha of Pack Laurent. Her fingers clenched so tightly that her nails dug into her palms.
As soon as they stepped out of the library, Xavier turned to Liliana.
"What were you looking for?"
Liliana raised the book she was carrying, allowing Xavier to see its cover.
"Just an ordinary book. I want to learn more about the Nightfangs and the changes they’ve undergone over the years."
Xavier tilted his head to look at the book in Liliana’s hand, then nodded as if he didn’t particularly care about it.
"Don’t worry too much. As long as I’m by your side, I’ll protect you too, just like your other partners."
Liliana was stunned. She looked up at Xavier’s red eyes.
"You—"
"You’re my partner," Xavier interrupted. "Isn’t it only natural for me to protect you? Let me do that properly from now on."
"But, didn’t you—"
"I’ve changed my mind," Xavier interrupted again. "After thinking it over, I don’t think making you my partner is such a bad thing."
"But I already have four partners," Liliana said quickly, worried that Xavier would interrupt her again. "Didn’t you also say that you already had someone you liked? You said that when you were about to mark me."
Xavier’s smile grew wider.
He lowered his head, then held Liliana and gently pushed her until her back rested against the wall outside the library. He then lifted her chin with his fingers, making her look at him.
"I, Xavier Laurent, fully acknowledge Liliana Draven as my Luna. I will not withdraw this acknowledgment unless the Moon Goddess herself wishes it."
Liliana looked at Xavier with mixed feelings.
"Why?" she asked.
Xavier raised an eyebrow. "You still don’t trust me?"
"Why?" Liliana repeated, this time with a more serious expression.
Xavier fell silent for a moment before answering.
"You took my virginity. It was the first time for both of us."
Liliana flinched. Her face showed clear surprise as she stared at Xavier, as if she had just realized something that had never crossed her mind before.
Among werewolves, there were many Alphas who remained completely loyal to their partners. However, it was not uncommon for Alphas to have other partners before eventually choosing the mate appointed by the Moon Goddess as their Luna. Some future Alphas even spent their time fooling around with other women before making their choice.
That was why Liliana couldn’t understand Xavier’s sudden change in attitude.
"Didn’t you once say that you liked someone?" she asked again.
Xavier touched Liliana’s black hair and gazed at her face for a few moments before shaking his head.
"You’re my Luna. The Luna I’ve finally chosen," he said. "You’re also the person who gave me a chance to live again."
Xavier swallowed with difficulty. His red eyes, which had always reflected indifference and confidence, now seemed to tremble.
"I’ll prove to you that I, Xavier Laurent, won’t be weaker than your other partners."
His voice grew lower, filled with determination.
"In fact, I’ll become as strong as the Crown Prince. I’ll make you believe that I’m far more worthy of being your partner, far more worthy than they are."
Liliana looked up at Xavier.
Her brows furrowed as she noticed that the color of his eyes had changed slightly from when she had first seen them.
