Chapter 1023 - Dharma Manifestations

The Mythic Titan’s birth brought Han Wu’s Subcosm rank fighter count to five. More importantly, the enhanced Life Infusion gave him a clear shortcut for accelerating unit growth, meaning cultivating powerful units was no longer a bottleneck.

As Han Wu was planning to expand his forces, the Death God King contacted him. Direct contact had been rare before the war, but was quickly becoming routine.

“I have a mission for you, if you’re willing.”

Why’s the Death God King being so polite today? Han Wu frowned. “Please enlighten me, Your Majesty.”

“After the war, Gu Feng fled the Divine Civilization with the Destruction Clan’s remnants. My people have located them. They’re still a threat, and I’d like you to eliminate them—if you’re willing.”

Han Wu immediately recalled all the grievances the Destruction Clan had caused him. It ranged from the attempted theft of his Giant Crest to the threats against Xu Hai, and even their alliance with the War Faction.

The War Faction had paid its debt with Zhong Heng’s death. The Destruction Clan had yet to pay anything. Naturally, Han Wu accepted without hesitation.

He was determined to eliminate them, and he would do so with his new Mythic Titan.

The Death God King had known Han Wu would agree. In truth, he could’ve sent one of his Dharma Manifestations to handle it, but he had deliberately saved this mission for Han Wu. Revenge of this scale was personal.

“What are we waiting for? Let’s depart. We need to strike before they change locations,” the Death God King urged.

Along with the mission coordinates, the Death God King sent Han Wu a technique as an advance reward. Han Wu's eyes went wide when he saw it. It was the Death God King’s personal technique for creating Dharma Manifestations.

The Death God King knew Han Wu had many Divine Jurisdictions under his belt and wanted to teach him how to turn them into Dharma Manifestations to improve his overall strength.

Although the concept was similar to Avatar Creation, it was actually ‌different. Han Wu's avatars split his power and weakened him in the process, though he could dictate how much strength was taken away.

Dharma Manifestations, however, separated a Jurisdiction from the body and granted it autonomous consciousness. A mature Manifestation could deepen its understanding of its Jurisdiction and strengthen its effects far beyond 100% development.

For example, Han Wu’s earliest Conversion Jurisdiction was already at 100%. Once he turned it into a Dharma Manifestation, it could independently increase its completion meter further beyond that. While this wouldn’t grant it new effects from the Jurisdiction the way it would a God King, it could at least strengthen its existing effect further.

V ran projections. If the Conversion Jurisdiction reached 200% development through a Dharma Manifestation, the absorption speed for Jurisdiction-powered energy attacks would increase tenfold. At 300%, it was a hundredfold. Eventually, Han Wu would be able to nullify any Jurisdiction-based attack through absorption alone. Every other Jurisdiction would benefit similarly.

Han Wu was ecstatic! He held seven Jurisdictions—Conversion, Duel, Slaughter, True Martial, Everchange, Netherworld, and Life—and would likely collect more in the future. Setting aside Netherworld and Life, which hadn’t reached 100% development yet, the remaining five could all be converted into Manifestations immediately.

Without hesitation, he split himself into several avatars and learned the technique. He then spent a lot of Divine Essence and resources to get started on converting the five Jurisdictions into Manifestations.

According to V’s calculations, Everchange would finish first even though it was only a minor Divine Jurisdiction. The estimated time was five realm days. Han Wu could use that window to track down and destroy the Destruction Clan.

The coordinates pointed to the Beast Tamer Civilization. It was a world built around Summoned Beasts, where every individual could contract powerful creatures. Unlike the Divine Civilization’s mass-unit approach, the Beast Tamer Civilization cultivated few but elite life forms.

Each approach had its pros and cons. Still, its civilization rank was far lower than the Divine Civilization’s, though Han Wu would have to go there to grasp the true extent of this disparity.

Han Wu informed Xu Hai, Qin Shuang, and Jing Jing of his departure.

Qin Shuang immediately asked to come along. Lately, she had been working on her Lightning Jurisdiction, but had hit a bottleneck. She was hoping a change of scenery would help her break through. Han Wu was happy to oblige.

Then Jing Jing sent word that she wanted to come too.

Han Wu broke into a cold sweat. Taking one was a honeymoon. Taking both was dancing on a tightrope. He wasn’t Sun Qingnian!

Unfortunately for him, Jing Jing arrived before he could respond. A flash of displeasure crossed her pale face the moment she saw Qin Shuang at Han Wu’s side, but she quickly masked it.

Qin Shuang tensed up. They were former best friends turned rivals.

“Han Wu is mine,” Qin Shuang declared, clinging to Han Wu’s arm to claim her territory.

Jing Jing held her composure and grabbed Han Wu’s other arm. “You have my God’s present. I have his future. In the end, it will be me who stays by his side.”

Trapped between them and not wanting to offend either side, Han Wu hastily changed the subject. “Let’s get moving before the Destruction Clan escapes!”
