The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend
Chapter 1024 - Exploiting the Beast Tamer Civilization
The three arrived at the Beast Tamer Civilization’s border. Every civilization had its own rules that had to be obeyed. The only way around it was to force one’s way in—basically, invade.
Han Wu chose the legitimate entry route. This was because, if he had chosen to invade, he would’ve faced pushback from the Will of the Beast Tamer Civilization and its natives. The risk of the mission would only increase, and he could even accidentally alert the hiding Destruction Clan in the process.
As a precautionary measure, he first sent an avatar in to probe the rules. The civilization’s Will scanned it immediately. It seemed there were three restrictions for entrants.
First, entrants had to be independent human individuals. Non-human races were barred.
Secondly, all personal power was sealed upon entry, including skills, abilities, and Divine Authorities. Humans couldn’t increase their fighting power. Only Summoned Beasts could fight on their behalf.
Lastly, the Will measured each entrant’s soul strength and allocated Summoned Beast Slots accordingly. Stronger souls had more slots.
Han Wu glanced at Jing Jing. Although she was an independent individual and was humanoid, she wasn’t actually human. She was still a Crystal Skeleton.
“I’m sorry, Jing Jing. The rules won’t let you in,” Han Wu said apologetically.
While frustrated, Jing Jing had no choice but to accept it.
Qin Shuang, on the other hand, found her spirits rising at the prospect of having Han Wu all to herself.
“Like I said, Han Wu’s mine.” Qin Shuang raised a triumphant eyebrow at Jing Jing.
Jing Jing didn’t argue. Instead, she asked to rest inside Han Wu’s divine realm.
Han Wu cautiously agreed. He couldn’t help but remember the time she had tried to destroy his Core and hoped she wouldn’t do it again.
“My God, please be at ease.” Jing Jing reassured him. “I would not harm your divine realm.”
Han Wu sighed with relief and let her into his divine realm.
Once she was gone, Qin Shuang heaved a sigh of her own as well. Despite taunting Jing Jing in front of Han Wu, she had actually been somewhat intimidated, as Jing Jing was a true God King.
Jing Jing was undoubtedly magnitudes stronger than her, especially considering she was already the Soul God King. Meanwhile, Qin Shuang’s Lightning Jurisdiction wasn’t even at 100%.
Much more at ease with Jing Jing gone, Qin Shuang urged, “Han Wu, let’s enter and complete the mission.”
Han Wu motioned for her to wait. He had tested the rules, but he also wanted to test the civilization’s limits. While the Beast Tamer Civilization barred the use of personal skills inside, it was likely fine to use them outside.
Using Myriad Martial Caste combined with Avatar Creation, he produced thousands of avatars in various race forms. Among these were some that were technically half human and half other races. There were also several that were fully human. He ordered them all to enter.
Surprisingly, every single hybrid race avatar was rejected. Only pure human avatars passed through. Interestingly, the civilization’s Will treated each avatar as an independent individual. That was a massive loophole.
Han Wu created more avatars, splitting his abilities, Divine Aspects, Authorities, and Jurisdictions into separate human forms. Including the earlier batch, 107 avatars entered successfully. Han Wu and Qin Shuang then entered, which bumped the total number of Han Wu inside the Beast Tamer Civilization up to 108.
The Will didn’t notice this exploit at all and measured each avatar’s soul strength individually. Every one of Han Wu’s 108 avatars received an extremely high rating, netting twenty Summoned Beast Slots each. That was 2,160 slots in total!
Qin Shuang received sixteen.
The civilization’s average was four.
Basically, they were already at the absolute peak.
These slots were used to contract Summoned Beasts, which could be contracted through purchasing, gifts, or capturing. Han Wu, however, discovered yet another exploit.
His Summoned Beast Slots could be used to contract units from his divine realm instead of local creatures. The realization had him on the verge of bursting into laughter.
He had wanted to bring the Mythic Titan to destroy the Destruction Clan and had been rather crestfallen when he first learned the rules of this civilization, but it appeared he could actually continue as planned. Using his avatars, he summoned his top 2,160 fighters.
All five of his Subcosm elites answered the call—Mythic Titan, the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King, the Wrath War Tyrannosprite King, Steely, and the Supreme Power.
Black Dragon King Alpheus, Golden Dragon King Smog, Dark Locust, Fire Dragon King Esquiem, and Silver Dragon King Erebard followed.
One powerful unit after another was summoned according to the rules of the civilization. Han Wu could use them to flatten the entire civilization easily.
As he was about to summon Umbral Mouse with his last slot, it was hijacked. Jing Jing slipped through instead.
“My God, I knew you would not abandon me!” she cried happily.
The rules restricted beast tamers heavily but barely restricted Summoned Beasts at all, meaning Jing Jing’s powers were completely unsealed. Raising her hand, she called upon millions of skeleton soldiers, forming a limitless skeleton sea.
Han Wu could only sigh. “I wasn’t planning to do anything to this civilization, but with things as they are, it’d be a waste not to conquer it while we’re here.”
