Chapter 55: Chapter 55: Money Is Not a Problem

Rian Sinclair had been at Radiant Entertainment for a while, and the longer she stayed, the more annoyed she became. Sure enough, the tropes in novels where CEOs had so much free time they could just chase after naive, sweet heroines were utter nonsense. It was all a lie!

Rian asked Uncle Forrest to drive the Pagani to the company. Seeing Quentin Sinclair still buried in his work, she couldn’t help but shake her head in pity. However, the moment she realized that taking pity on him meant she would have to suffer through the same grueling workload, she immediately banished the thought from her mind.

After staying a little longer, Rian saw a message from Uncle Forrest and prepared to make her escape. Looking at Quentin, who was still fully "immersed" in his work, she said, "Quentin, I’m leaving the car we drove here for you to use. I’m taking off now."

Quentin pinched the bridge of his nose and nodded. To Rian, he looked as if he had aged a whole year, his brows furrowed deeply.

Glancing at the massive stack of documents on his desk, Rian chose to flee without looking back.

Seeing the Pagani parked downstairs, she felt her entire body relax. The saying that going to work could kill you was entirely correct.

Thinking about the sprawling, empty parking garage on the second basement level of her villa, she decided to buy some cars to fill the space. There were quite a few people living at the villa, so picking up a few cheaper cars would make getting around much more convenient for everyone.

When she bought her Ferrari previously, Rian had exchanged contact information with Mason Hughes, though she hadn’t gone out of her way to message him. She really liked the license plate he had gifted her, so she figured she might as well help boost his sales. Besides, their customer service was quite good.

Furthermore, the Pagani currently only had temporary plates and still needed to be officially registered. She wondered if Mason had any more lucky license plate numbers lying around.

With car shopping on the agenda, Rian decided to drag out her "long-lost" younger brother to use as a convenient lackey. After requesting a leave of absence from his homeroom teacher, she texted Ash Sinclair the address and told him to make his own way there.

Half an hour later, Rian arrived at the entrance of the dealership. She immediately spotted Ash grinning foolishly and waving frantically at her from a short distance away. She facepalmed. Ash was as naive and simple-minded as ever. When would he finally grow a brain?

She then noticed a white Koenigsegg Jesko parked at the entrance. A sports car worth over a hundred million? *(A word from Ian: This is an alternate universe; please do not compare it to reality! The prices are entirely made up!)*

Rian’s first thought was whether it was a new display car. Then again, she recalled that at previous auto shows, the exhibited sports cars generally increased in value with each new model shown.

Too lazy to think much of it, she parked her car near the entrance and led Ash into the dealership. Naturally, the sales guide had spotted Rian stepping out of the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta.

The guide looked utterly thrilled. That was a sports car worth over a hundred million! It wasn’t just any ordinary vehicle! It was...

A sports car straight out of Victor Walden’s poetry!

While the other guides were still standing around in shock, the saleswoman hurriedly rushed forward. "Hello, Miss. What kind of cars are you looking to see today?"

Upon taking a closer look, she was startled to realize that this was Miss Sinclair, the very same customer who had previously purchased the Ferrari LaFerrari! This was a VIP client! Her commission on this sale was going to be astronomical!

The saleswoman’s gaze grew even more fervent as she looked at Rian. After all, this was the wealthy young woman who had casually dropped ninety million on her last visit!

Seeing the saleswoman’s predatory, ravenous stare—as if she wanted to devour her whole—Rian felt a lingering sense of dread. Did this woman eat people?!

Rian steadied herself, forcefully suppressing the urge to take a step back under the saleswoman’s overwhelming enthusiasm. "Do you have the Brabus G-Class, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Maybach S-Class, or the Bentley Yaz?" she asked.

Through Mason’s social media posts, Rian had learned a few things about this place. This dealership didn’t just sell a single brand. Mason had a lot of connections; as long as the money was right, he could get his hands on almost any vehicle.

Hearing this, the saleswoman knew for sure this was a massive client. However, handling requests across multiple high-end brands was beyond her pay grade. She could only reply apologetically, "I’m very sorry, Miss Sinclair. To the public, our store is an exclusive Bentley dealership. We do have a 2006 model of the Bentley Yaz in stock, but for the other vehicles, you’ll need to speak with the boss."

Rian wasn’t too surprised by this, though she hadn’t expected them to actually have a 2006 Yaz on hand. "Take me to see it."

The fiery passion in the saleswoman’s eyes burned even brighter. A living God of Fortune! "Miss Sinclair, please come this way." As she led Rian toward the inner showroom, the saleswoman frantically messaged the manager on her phone. The insanely wealthy Miss Sinclair was back!

After bringing them to the car, the saleswoman smiled and began her presentation.

"Miss Sinclair, the vehicle you see here is the Bentley Yaz. It has a body length of 6,118 millimeters, a width of 2,115 millimeters, and a height of 1,515 millimeters. The interior is configured for five seats, featuring a 100-liter fuel tank and 374 liters of trunk space.

"The Yaz is powered by a 6.8T, 450-horsepower V8 engine. It is a four-door, five-seat sedan with a top speed of 260 kilometers per hour. The entire vehicle comes with a three-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.

"It requires 95-octane gasoline. Both the cylinder head and block are made of aluminum alloy, and it meets Euro IV emission standards. It’s equipped with an electric sunroof, and the seating configuration features...

"The final on-road price for this vehicle is 23.09 million. We support a 12-month installment plan, and our dealership provides a one-year warranty for any equipment damage."

Listening to the saleswoman’s confident and poised explanation, Rian couldn’t help but smile in satisfaction. "I can tell you really love this job."

The saleswoman smiled shyly. "My dream was always to become an outstanding salesperson. I suppose you could say my dream has come true."

Rian didn’t press the matter further; having a dream was a good thing. "I’ll take this car. I’ll pay in full."

The saleswoman’s face lit up with joyful surprise. "Right away, Miss Sinclair! I’ll have the manager print the contract immediately!"

Rian was slightly puzzled. Was the salesperson in front of her not allowed to print it herself? Sensing her confusion, the saleswoman quickly explained, "Miss Sinclair, our store’s policy dictates that for vehicles valued over ten million, only the manager has the authority to print and sign the contract. A gold-tier salesperson can handle contracts between five million and ten million. I am only authorized to print and sign contracts for vehicles under five million."

The saleswoman beamed with pride. She felt she was inches away from becoming a gold-tier salesperson—she just needed to close this deal!

Rian nodded. She didn’t understand the rules of the industry, nor did she care to. Her only job was to pull out the cash.

The saleswoman immediately contacted the manager, who rushed out carrying a pre-printed contract upon hearing the news.

Both of them had fully believed that Miss Sinclair would make the purchase, so they had printed the contract in advance. If she had decided against it, they would only be out a few cents for the printing cost—a mere drop in the bucket compared to a multimillion-dollar sale.

With the contract laid out in front of her, Rian instructed Ash to sign it while she pulled out her black card and swiped it on the POS machine.

Mason Hughes didn’t take long to come downstairs. Seeing the scene, he casually took a seat on the sofa next to Rian. Accompanying him was the man she had met last time.

Jason Rivers wasn’t exactly the shy type either. He took a seat right next to Mason on the same sofa, leaning comfortably against the armrest.

"Are you in need of any other vehicles, Miss Sinclair?" Mason asked.

Seeing that Mason had personally come down, Rian knew someone had tipped him off. She didn’t bother beating around the bush. "I just don’t know if you can get your hands on them, Boss Hughes."

Mason was naturally a straightforward person as well. "I wouldn’t dare boast about anything else, but when it comes to getting cars for you, Miss Sinclair, my supply network ranks at least third in all of Argent."

Rian glanced at Jason sitting nearby and couldn’t help but roll her eyes. She knew Mason was being modest. "Well, if you can get the cars I want, Boss Hughes—or any other limited-edition sports cars—money is no object."
