Chapter 56: I’ll Send You a Picture of My Garage
Chapter 56: Chapter 56: I’ll Send You a Picture of My Garage
Mason Hughes was taken aback for a moment before bursting into laughter. "With your word, Miss Sinclair, I can put my mind at ease. Don’t you worry, I’ll definitely get you the best cars."
Rian Sinclair smiled and stood up. "Then I’ll await Boss Hughes’s news. We’ll keep in touch on WeChat."
Mason also stood up and smiled. "Miss Sinclair, we’ll talk on WeChat then."
Seeing that Ash Sinclair had also finished signing his paperwork, Rian was about to lead him away when she thought of something. She turned back and asked, "Boss Hughes, is that Koenigsegg parked out front for sale?"
Mason didn’t catch her meaning at first.
"What Koenigsegg? Since when did a Koenigsegg arrive at my shop? Why didn’t I know about it?" he wondered.
Beside them, Jason Rivers stood up. "Miss Sinclair, you must mean the Koenigsegg Jesko out front. That’s my car. If you like it, you can take it for a spin."
Hearing this, Ash couldn’t help but frown. The guy’s earlier request for her WeChat had already made him wary.
Rian finally looked Jason squarely in the eye. His inexplicable request for her contact information earlier hadn’t earned him any favorable impression, but she hadn’t expected him to be so generous about lending out his car.
"Aren’t rich young heirs supposed to be filled with resentment after being rejected? Don’t they usually want to execute nine generations of the person’s family?" she thought. "It seems those silly romance novels are misleading!"
Mason finally remembered that the car belonged to this kid. Seeing that Jason had lost the manic excitement he’d initially shown upon meeting Rian, Mason decided to introduce him. "Miss Sinclair, this kid is Jason Rivers, a sports car enthusiast. He also owns quite a few luxury cars."
Rian caught the underlying meaning in Mason’s words. Aside from the WeChat incident, her overall impression of Jason wasn’t too bad; at the very least, she didn’t dislike him.
"Hello, I’m Rian Sinclair." Knowing earlier that Jason also possessed a high appearance score in the eighties, she naturally wouldn’t let slip any tool she could use for cashing out.
Jason looked thrilled, but he managed to forcefully restrain himself. "Hello, Rian! I’m Jason Rivers! If you ever need anything in Argent, you can come to me! If you’re interested in driving sports cars, you can borrow plenty of mine!"
Rian smiled at his words. "Sure, we’ll keep in touch."
Hearing an opening, Jason immediately seized the opportunity. "Rian, can I add you on WeChat? That way, you can contact me whenever you need a car, and I’ll deliver it to you right away."
Hearing the system prompt announcing the arrival of 20 attribute points, Rian, who had originally intended to politely decline, instantly changed her tune. "Alright."
She then took out her phone. Seeing this, Jason hurriedly scanned her QR code and sent a friend request, the pleasant surprise in his eyes practically overflowing. He smiled and added, "Miss Sinclair, I’ll just take pictures of my home garage for you later. Let me know which one you want to drive, and I’ll have it delivered straight to you."
Seeing them add each other as friends, Ash ultimately said nothing. After all, his older sister rarely listened to him anyway.
Rian hadn’t expected him to be so straightforward as to photograph his garage. "Then I’ll thank Mr. Rivers in advance."
Then she looked toward Mason and asked with a slight smile, "I wonder if Boss Sherman has any good license plate numbers available? I’m willing to buy one."
Mason hesitated for a moment before nodding. "I only have one top-tier plate left. For the rest, you’ll probably have to settle for just decent ones."
"Can it be registered right now? There’s a car parked outside with temporary plates. Just put it on that one."
Mason hadn’t expected Rian to have another luxury car under her name. He instructed his staff to handle the paperwork. Seeing this, Rian decided to just wait inside the shop.
The group chatted for a bit. Upon hearing Mason announce that the plates were installed, Rian knew it was time to leave. "Remember to save any good cars that come in for me, Boss Hughes."
To Mason, Rian was a God of Fortune. He immediately smiled and replied, "Rest assured, Miss Sinclair. By the way, where should I deliver the Brabus G-Class, Cullinan, and Maybach S-Class you ordered once they arrive?"
"Deliver them to Villa One at Red Maple Lake."
Jason gasped, his eyes widening as he stared blankly at Rian. Villa One! It was worth a billion! Jason also lived at Red Maple Lake with his family, so he naturally knew the immense prestige of Villa One.
Mason couldn’t help but become a few degrees more respectful toward Rian. He, too, was naturally shocked by her wealth; The Red Maple Lake Villa District was famous throughout Argent.
Mason couldn’t fathom how this young girl standing before him possessed such financial power. "Could her family be in the oil business?" he wondered. "To have such wealth and boldness!"
Mason withdrew his shocked gaze, his smile now carrying an added layer of reverence. "Miss Sinclair, the paperwork and plates for that Yaz are all sorted out. Will you be driving it away now, or should we deliver it to you?"
Thinking of the Pagani parked outside, Rian said, "Just deliver it to Red Maple Lake. I drove myself here."
Listening from the side, Jason felt an unbearable itch in his heart. His eyes sparkled brightly. "Rian, are you driving that Ferrari LaFerrari?"
Rian shook her head. "That one’s at home. I drove the Pagani."
"What?! A Pagani?!!! Rian! Are you my god?" As a hardcore sports car enthusiast, Jason practically howled.
Jason was beyond thrilled. "A Pagani! The aristocrat of cars! The car of my dreams! But the price tag is absolutely absurd! It strangled my dreams right in the cradle!"
Rian was a bit puzzled. Anyone who could afford to have sports cars as a hobby must come from an exceedingly wealthy family.
Mason quietly explained from the sidelines.
"His father is a self-made man, so he taught him from a young age not to spend money recklessly. However, since he’s the only son, he still gives him a small allowance to indulge his hobbies.
"But this kid just lacks restraint," Mason continued, shaking his head. "He wants to buy every car that catches his eye. Eventually, his father ordered him to stop wasting money and slashed his monthly living expenses to fifty thousand.
"That finally put a damper on his buying sprees, so he pivoted to renting cars. But because he’s obsessed with top-tier hypercars, he turns his nose up at anything in the hundreds of thousands or even a couple of million. And limited-edition sports cars aren’t something he can just rent on a whim.
"Even if he wants to rent them, there’s no supply. That’s why your LaFerrari earlier reignited the desires he’d put to rest."
Rian nodded. Seeing that Jason was still immersed in his enthusiastic rambling, she bid Mason goodbye and left with Ash. Thoroughly intoxicated by his own excitement, Jason didn’t even notice her departure.
By the time he snapped out of it, there was no one in front of him. He spun around, only to see Mason sitting off to the side drinking tea. Rian’s figure had vanished entirely.
"She left?" Jason asked, unsure.
Mason cast a glance at him. "What do you think?"
"Ah!! No way!!! Rian just left like that?? ’Quietly she leaves, just as quietly she came’?" Jason’s face was filled with grief and indignation.
Mason hastily stopped him before he could throw a complete fit and pointed out the window. "Go look right now, and you might just catch a glimpse of the clouds your Rian left behind."
Mason had just been making a casual remark, but he didn’t expect this silly kid to take it seriously. Jason sprinted over and looked out, only catching sight of Rian getting into her car, closing the door, and driving away.
"Holy shit!"
Seeing him having another spastic episode, Mason couldn’t be bothered to watch anymore and quietly slipped away.
"A Pagani Zonda! Holy shit! As expected of my Rian! Rian is so badass! Mason, look! Rian’s new car is a Pagani Zonda! The Zonda that’s worth hundreds of millions and is completely priceless! Mason! Mason? Mas—"
Jason turned around, only to find that Mason was nowhere to be seen.
Jason was furious! He was bursting with joy, yet he had no one to share it with!
He was going to die from holding it in!
