"What are you doing?"

"Watching you."

"Why?"

"Because I have nothing else to do right now."

The wolf woman stared at the young man standing several meters away, his black eyes fixed on her.

Her shoulder-length black hair had grown slightly longer since the last few months. She usually didn’t let her hair grow that much. But this tike she did. Her hair with several striking red streaks running through it.

Aisha was dressed in her usual training attire—a black crop top paired with tight black pants that allowed her to move freely. Her fluffy black-and-red tail swayed slowly behind her.

She glared at Amon with her crimson eyes.

Only a short while ago, she had been practicing her swordsmanship inside the training hall. She had been completely focused on her movements when Amon suddenly appeared and began watching her without saying a word.

"Sigh..." Aisha lowered her sword slightly. "Don’t make me angry. Now tell me, why are you actually here?"

Amon remained silent for a moment.

Then he shrugged.

"Well, I came here to train. I saw you practicing, so I came over to say hello."

He smiled.

"But you looked so focused that I didn’t want to disturb you."

"So you decided to stand there and stare at me?"

"Yes." He replied shamelessly.

Aisha’s eyebrow twitched.

Amon continued casually.

"Your form is getting better. I can see that you’ve improved quite a lot."

"Tch! I didn’t ask for your opinion."

"But I wanted to give it."

Amon grinned.

"Besides, do you want to have a spar?"

Aisha stared at him for a few seconds.

Then a competitive smile slowly appeared on her face.

"Sure."

She tightened her grip around her sword.

"I’m always ready for a challenge."

She reached into her storage ring and pulled out her massive greatsword.

Amon’s smile widened.

"Then let’s move to the sparring platform."

---

A few moments later, the two stood at opposite ends of a square-shaped sparring platform.

The surrounding training hall had several other students practicing nearby, but most of them had already begun paying attention to the two combatants.

Amon drew his sword.

He settled into a relaxed stance and looked toward Aisha.

"So, should we start?"

"Of course!"

Aisha’s crimson eyes sharpened.

She gripped the hilt of her greatsword tightly.

CRACKLE!

Blue lightning suddenly erupted around the weapon, spreading across the enormous blade and wrapping it in brilliant arcs of electricity.

The air around her seemed to tremble.

BOOM!

Aisha vanished from her position.

She hadn’t teleported.

She had simply moved so quickly that the eyes of ordinary students could barely follow her.

A streak of blue lightning raced across the platform toward Amon.

Amon’s eyes narrowed.

He immediately raised his sword.

CLANG!

Aisha’s greatsword collided with his blade.

BOOM!

A powerful shockwave erupted from the point of impact, sweeping across the platform and forcing dust and loose debris into the air.

Amon’s sword was instantly enveloped in dense black shadows.

A grin appeared on his face.

"Not bad~"

He suddenly pushed forward with overwhelming strength.

Aisha’s boots scraped against the platform as she was forced backward.

But she quickly used the momentum against him, twisting her body and lunging forward again.

Amon kicked off the ground.

WHOOSH!

He shot toward her.

Their swords collided once again.

CLANG!

CLANG!

CLANG!

Black and blue streaks crossed the platform as their blades repeatedly met.

For the opening exchange, neither of them relied heavily on spells or special abilities.

They fought purely through swordsmanship.

Amon relied on his superior agility and speed, constantly changing his position and attacking from different angles.

Aisha, meanwhile, focused on overwhelming him with explosive speed and raw strength.

Every clash sent sparks flying.

The sound of steel striking steel echoed throughout the training hall.

Amon suddenly stepped away.

His sword lowered slightly.

Then he swung it horizontally.

WHOOSH!

A massive crescent-shaped arc of shadow tore through the air and shot toward Aisha.

Aisha’s lips curled into a wide grin.

"That’s more like it."

She raised her greatsword and swung it downward in a powerful vertical strike.

BOOM!

A brilliant blue lightning blade erupted from her weapon.

It cleaved through Amon’s shadow slash.

But that wasn’t the end.

From behind the shattered shadow attack, a massive beast formed entirely from lightning emerged.

[Second Fang: Beast Mauling]

Its jaws opened wide, revealing glowing fangs as it lunged toward Amon.

Amon’s eyes narrowed.

He immediately stepped forward and spun on his heel.

The darkness surrounding his sword rapidly intensified.

Black shadows spiraled around his body as his sword moved with the rotation.

[Third Form — Black Reaper’s Dance].

His body became a blur.

One slash became two.

Two became four.

Then countless black blades seemed to tear through the air in rapid succession.

The continuous spinning combination transformed into a violent whirlwind of darkness, each rotation carrying another devastating slash.

BOOOOM!!!

The dark whirlwind collided head-on with the lightning beast.

Black darkness and blue lightning exploded across the platform.

At the same time, Aisha didn’t waste the opportunity.

She raised her greatsword.

CRACKLE!

Several enormous spears made entirely of lightning materialized around her.

Their sharp tips pointed directly toward Amon.

Aisha smirked.

"Try blocking this!"

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

The lightning spears shot forward simultaneously.

Amon immediately stopped his spinning technique.

He planted his feet firmly against the platform and thrust his free hand forward.

Darkness surged from his body.

A massive wall of condensed black shadow materialized before him.

BOOOOM!

The first lightning spear struck the barrier, then the second, then the third.

Explosions of blue electricity erupted across the black wall as the remaining spears continued hammering against it.

The entire sparring platform shook violently beneath their feet.

Suddenly, lightning spread across nearly the entire sparring platform, forming a massive dome around them.

It was Aisha’s ability.

[Lightning Field]

Brilliant blue lightning surged through the dome, countless arcs of electricity dancing wildly within the enclosed space.

The entire area had become a storm of lightning. However, Aisha was completely immune to her own ability but Amon wasn’t.

Electricity crackled against his body, threatening to overwhelm him with every passing second.

Amon immediately chose the simplest solution. He covered his entire body in shadows and pure darkness.

The darkness rapidly condensed around him, forming a layer of black armor over his body. It completely enveloped him, protecting him from the violent lightning surrounding them.

At the same time, the darkness enhanced his physical strength.

Amon vanished.

"Shit!"

Aisha’s eyes widened as she immediately looked around, trying to locate him through the raging lightning.

---

A while later Aisha lay exhausted on the floor, breathing heavily after the intense battle.

Beside her, Amon sat casually, looking down at her.

"That was a good battle. You’re really working hard."

"Yeah... it was good."

Aisha took a deep breath before sighing.

"But damn, you’ve gotten so strong. All my training feels like it meant nothing."

"Strong? Me?" Amon raised an eyebrow.

"What are you talking about? I nearly died so many times during that mission. I’m still weak."

Aisha stared at him for a moment before letting out another sigh.

"Yeah..."

She slowly turned her gaze toward the ceiling.

"We’re still weak."

"Yup. We are, dear Aisha."

Silence followed. Aisha didn’t react to the word dear. At this point, she seemed almost used to Amon casually calling her things like that.

After a few seconds, Amon spoke again.

"So, Aisha... can I ask you something?"

"Sure. It’s not like if I say no, you won’t ask anyway."

"That’s true." Amon chuckled.

"Okay, then. Ask."

Aisha turned her head toward him.

"Why are you training so hard?" Amon’s expression became slightly more serious.

"What makes you so determined to train? Why are you obsessed with it? What’s your goal?"

Aisha stared at him for a moment. Then she slowly pushed herself upright. She raised one finger.

"First of all, I’m not obsessed with training, okay?"

Amon blinked.

She continued "My father always says that a person can work hard without being obsessed with something. I’m simply following his words."

Amon smiled inwardly. ’What a weirdo. She’s definitely obsessed with training. She’s just using some random words to avoid admitting it.’

Of course, he kept that thought to himself.

"Okay. I believe you." Amon nodded seriously.

Aisha narrowed her eyes slightly, but decided not to argue. She then continued further.

"The reason I want to become strong..." Her expression gradually became more serious.

"...is because I want to become the clan leader."

Amon raised an eyebrow. "Wait. You mean you want to take your father’s position?"

"Yes."

Aisha clenched her fists. "I want to."

Her voice carried determination. "I have several brothers and sisters, so becoming the next clan leader won’t be easy. There will be plenty of competition."

She looked straight ahead. "But I’ll achieve it."

Amon remained silent, listening. "I want to become the one who can lead the Darkfang Clan."

The determination in her eyes was unmistakable. Amon truly understood how serious she was about her goal.

A faint smile appeared on his face. "I know you can achieve it."

He paused before asking, "By the way, how many brothers and sisters do you have?"

"Hmm..." Aisha thought for a moment. "Five brothers and three sisters."

She said it casually, as though it were the most ordinary thing in the world.

Amon’s eyes widened. His jaw slowly dropped. "What the hell?! That’s so many!"

He stared at her in disbelief. "Your father and mother are crazy! Especially your moth—"

"Bastard! Watch your mouth!"

Aisha immediately glared at him. "And we’re not all siblings from the same mother!"

She folded her arms and added matter-of-factly, "My father has four wives!""
