Chapter 108: 108 Starting the cultivation

108 Starting the cultivation

True Profound

Just two words, but to her they represented something that had seemed impossible.

Inside that secret realm, every one of the most powerful cultivators was trapped at the tenth stage of the Nascent Profound.

It was a known limitation, accepted by all, a barrier no one had ever managed to break through.

But now Yun Che stood before her offering a completely different possibility.

Ariselle looked at the man covered in that intense light.

"Do you understand what you’re doing?"

"Of course I do."

"If the energy exceeds the limit my body can endure..."

"You could die."

She fell silent.

Yun Che continued:

"And if I lose control of the energy inside my body, I’ll die too."

Ariselle looked at the formation.

"And this formation?"

"It will reduce the risk."

"Reduce?"

"Not eliminate."

Ariselle took a deep breath. Yun Che drew closer, spiritual energy still coursing through his body like a storm.

"If anything goes wrong, both of us could explode."

Ariselle lifted her eyes.

Yun Che went on:

"There will be no second attempt."

Her face grew serious.

"So you’re asking me if I’m willing to take that risk."

"I don’t intend to subject anyone to anything without their consent. If you refuse of your own will, we won’t proceed and we’ll try to find another way to deal with the war."

The queen remained pensive, unable to answer. Outside, far from there, the sound of battle crossed the mountain range.

The fate of thousands of Medusas was being decided at that very moment. Ariselle closed her eyes, thinking of her people.

Vaelra, Nysara, Thesira, Mirevra. She also thought of Elyra, Kaelia, and Lyssara.

She thought of the warriors who were at that moment defending the four extremities of the range.

She thought of the civilians hidden inside the mausoleum, and most important of all, she thought of the future of her entire race.

When she opened her eyes again, her expression was decided.

"I accept."

Yun Che watched her.

"Are you sure?"

"No. It’s only a gamble in a moment of desperation."

The answer surprised him.

Ariselle breathed slowly.

"I’m not sure of anything."

She took a step forward.

"But I am sure of one thing."

Her green eyes met his.

"If there is a possibility of saving my people, I cannot refuse."

Yun Che smiled.

"Then I’ll accompany you on this suicidal journey."

Ariselle stepped into the center of the formation and immediately the ground beneath her feet shone, and then the formation activated.

Her royal dress emphasized her position.

The elegant fabric followed her small movements; the tiny spiritual details were embroidered on the sleeves and at the waist.

Her long green hair, with countless small serpents swaying, fell down her back.

The small green serpents on her head moved slowly. Her clear green eyes traveled over the enormous formation before her.

For a few seconds she simply observed, when suddenly a column of light rose around the two of them.

Dozens of circuits began to function simultaneously.

The first flow entered Yun Che’s body.

Then it was divided.

One part remained in his core, which refused the energy, so the greater part followed the channels established by the formation.

Ariselle felt it at once.

It was as if an ocean had been poured into her body.

Her eyes closed.

Spiritual energy advanced through her meridians; every small channel seemed to be filled by an extremely dense current.

Her body began to tremble not only from power, but from something hotter. Yun Che clenched his teeth.

"Don’t try to absorb it all at once."

Ariselle drew a deep breath.

Her chest rose and fell beneath the thin fabric of the dress.

"I’m trying."

"Let the energy enter naturally."

She nodded in reply. The formation shone again.

Inside Yun Che’s consciousness, a completely different vision appeared.

The System was operating when spiritual lines rose before his eyes.

Ariselle’s body became almost transparent in his spiritual sight; he could see the meridians and the core.

The spiritual energy, the blockage points, everything in her circulation.

Then new information appeared.

[Spiritual flow identified.]

[Main channel located.]

[Energy destination: partner’s core.]

[Transfer speed: reduce 12%.]

Yun Che immediately adjusted the flow and the energy lessened.

Ariselle released her breath in a low moan.

Almost a sigh.

"Better..."

Yun Che opened his eyes.

The white light around him pulsed as he approached slowly.

Without saying anything more, he knelt on the floor of the formation.

The heat of the circuits burned beneath his knees.

He pulled Ariselle down with him.

The royal dress slid over the glowing lines.

The small serpents on her head twisted when her knees touched the ground.

Yun Che raised his hands slowly.

His fingers found the first lace of the dress at her waist.

He untied it carefully.

The fabric loosened.

He leaned his face in.

His lips touched hers in a deep, lingering kiss.

Their tongues met slowly.

Hot.

Wet.

Exploring each other with passionate calm.

Ariselle moaned into his mouth.

Her tongue slid against his, bolder.

The kiss deepened.

Saliva mixed.

Both of their breathing grew heavy.

"Keep breathing," he murmured against her lips.

His voice came out hoarse.

She obeyed.

The energy of the two pills continued to be released.

Every second seemed to increase the pressure.

Yun Che’s body shone intensely.

The white light had become so strong that his face almost disappeared inside it.

Even so, his expression remained concentrated.

He was not trying to absorb that energy.

He was controlling it, redirecting it, transforming it, and delivering it.

The System continued to display every change.

[Spiritual flow unstable.]

[Correction required.]

[Redirect to the third channel.]

Yun Che adjusted.

His hands returned to the dress, pushing the fabric down from her shoulders with almost cruel slowness.

Hot skin was revealed centimeter by centimeter.

He kissed the bare shoulder, then the base of her neck; his tongue traced a wet path to her collarbone.

[Stability recovered.]

[Pressure on partner’s core increasing.]

[Reduce transfer by 7%.]

He reduced it.

Ariselle pressed her fingers against the floor of the formation; her nails scraped the glowing circuits.

"It’s getting harder..."

Her voice came out strained; a short moan escaped at the end.

"I know."

"How much is still left?"

Yun Che observed the spiritual vision and, at the same time, his thumbs caressed the inner part of her thighs.

Rising slowly and opening space.

The dress was now open to the waist and the fabric fell to the sides, useless.

"You still haven’t touched the barrier of the realm."

Ariselle opened her eyes; the clear green shone with desire and power mixed together.

"So we’re only just beginning?"

"Of course."

She closed her eyes again. The energy began to circulate once more. Time seemed to have vanished.
