The Supreme Village Doctor
Chapter 327: Note
“Alright, give it a try,” the man said.
Li Yang nodded.
“Do a good job.” But then, the man spoke again. “If I die, you’re not leaving here alive.”
Li Yang’s heart skipped a beat as he looked at the man.
The man grinned. “So, do a good job.”
Li Yang felt a sense of unease.
‘I’m a doctor. And while I almost never fail these days, what if I were just an ordinary one?’
‘A doctor’s duty is to heal. We do everything in our power to save those we can. But if we can’t save them, does that mean we just get killed by people like you?’
Of all the people Li Yang had treated, this was the first time he had ever felt so uncomfortable.
But discomfort aside, he quickly began the treatment.
His Acupuncture Technique was already incredibly refined, and Li Yang’s hands moved like a blur as he inserted the needles.
The man just lay there with his eyes closed.
The woman was dismissive at first, but she soon began watching Li Yang intently. In the end, she just stared at his hands, her thoughts unreadable.
About ten minutes later, Li Yang suddenly made a series of rapid withdrawals with his needles over one of the man’s blood vessels.
The blood vessel suddenly ruptured, and dark blood began to gush out.
After about thirty seconds of this, the dark blood slowly turned back to red.
“Bandage it up,” Li Yang said to the woman. “Most of the poison has been cleared out. I’ll write a prescription. Just follow it and take the medicine.”
The man had already opened his eyes. He could feel that his body was much better.
The woman, however, looked at the man in astonishment, because she had a clearer view.
The deathly pallor on the man’s face had almost completely vanished.
‘This means the poison is really more than halfway gone!’
‘Incredible!’
“Thank you, Divine Doctor!” The man seemed much more energetic. He immediately sat up and laughed, saying to Li Yang, “I never expected someone to possess such medical skill.”
Li Yang gave a placid smile. “You’re too kind. I just hope you won’t go bothering that great snake again.”
The man smiled and said, “Now that my poison is cured, I have no reason to bother it anymore.”
“Then I’ll be taking my leave.” Li Yang didn’t want to stay here any longer. These people didn’t seem like good company, so he wanted to leave immediately.
“Hold on!” To Li Yang’s surprise, the man stopped him, smiling as he said, “You saved my life. How can I just let you leave? Tell you what, I’ll have Scar take you somewhere to rest. I need to host a proper banquet to thank you.”
“That’s not necessary,” Li Yang said. “I only came here to make a transaction. There’s no need for thanks.”
“That won’t do!” the man said earnestly. “You saved me, and that’s a huge deal. My life isn’t the same as just anyone else’s. I have to thank you. Wen Ru, take him out and have Scar see that he’s well taken care of.”
“Yes!” The woman nodded and said to Li Yang, “Let’s go.”
Li Yang paused for a moment but could only follow her out.
Outside, Scar and his men immediately rushed over, asking anxiously, “How’s Big Bro?”
“He’s fine,” Wen Ru said expressionlessly. “You can go in now. And Scar, Big Bro wants you to take the Divine Doctor to a hotel for now. Once he’s feeling better, he’s going to thank him properly.”
“Great!” The scarred man was overjoyed. He came forward and clapped Li Yang on the shoulder. “I never would’ve thought… you really do have the skills of a Divine Doctor! Good thing I trusted you. Come on, come on, I’ll take you to the hotel.”
Li Yang looked and saw that it was indeed getting dark, so he nodded.
After leaving the villa, Scar took Li Yang to a high-end hotel, got him settled in, and then left.
Li Yang was staying in the hotel. He first took a shower, planning to go out and get something to eat.
But when he came back from his shower, he found a note had been slipped under his door.
This startled Li Yang. ‘What in the world is going on?’
He walked over, picked it up, and was shocked by what he read.
“You are being watched. Come downstairs, lose your tail, and meet us at the Tiansu Tea House. Remember, give the name Jin’an to the front desk, and they will tell you which private room to go to.”
It was unsigned.
Li Yang frowned. ‘They must have the wrong person, right?’
‘I just got here and don’t know anyone. How could someone be slipping me a note?’
But…
He didn’t dare to be careless. ‘What if someone really is watching me? But why would they? I haven’t done anything.’
After thinking for a moment, Li Yang quickly prepared to head out.
‘I have to go out to eat anyway,’ he thought. ‘I might as well see if anyone is actually following me.’
With that thought, Li Yang quickly left his room.
As soon as he stepped out of the hotel, Li Yang felt it.
That’s right. Someone was definitely following him.
He was alarmed. ‘Who are these people? Why would someone be following me when I’m a complete stranger here?’
He felt a surge of anger. After a moment’s thought, he did as the note said, lost his tail, and made his way to the Tiansu Tea House.
The tea house wasn’t far, only about two streets away.
Soon, he arrived and said to the person at the front desk, “Jin’an.”
The receptionist glanced at him. “Third floor, private room 3056.”
Li Yang nodded his thanks and immediately went upstairs.
