Chapter 1178: Chapter 1205: All Very Strong (2)
"I really can’t argue with you," Koa Jackson said as he helped her open the passenger door, fastening the seatbelt while adding, "Night shift. When I left, Grandpa still wasn’t asleep."
"Ah?" Mia Ginger glanced at him, troubled.
Actually, her job wasn’t all that difficult. Since starting, she only needed to work two days a week, one day doing voice over and another day livestreaming. The only concern was the timing of the livestream, which started at 1 a.m.
The old gentleman was, of course, quite worried.
But—
She didn’t want to give up easily.
She’s still keeping her pregnancy a secret from everyone at work.
As Koa Jackson drove the car, she softly said, "Try to persuade Grandpa more. He’s been sleeping well lately; it’s so late, he should just go to bed and not worry about me. Besides, isn’t it you who specially drives me back and forth now?"
"I know," Koa Jackson replied with a helpless expression, "I’ve already tried to persuade him to rest."
"That’s good." Mia Ginger breathed a sigh of relief.
She adjusted the seat to make it a bit lower, leaning back comfortably, undoing the buttons of her jacket, and placed a hand on her lower abdomen.
Ever since becoming pregnant, she had adopted this little habit.
She privately enjoyed touching her belly, even though the baby hadn’t begun moving yet. She felt that this kind of caress could be felt by them. Otherwise, why would people say mother and child are connected?
Koa Jackson noticed her from the corner of his eye, his expression softening, and smilingly asked, "How have you been feeling today?"
"I haven’t felt much nausea these past few days." Mia Ginger slightly turned her head in his direction, puffing out her cheeks with a thoughtful expression, "And my appetite’s pretty normal now. You see, my belly doesn’t seem to be changing, I’m a bit worried."
As she spoke, she lifted her T-shirt.
Her belly was still quite flat.
Typically, one should start showing around five to six months, even as early as a little over four months, and twins even earlier.
She searched online for pictures; other pregnant women carrying twins had noticeable bumps at three months. Mia Ginger touched her belly, her delicate brows furrowing.
Koa Jackson couldn’t help but laugh as he covered her up again, saying, "Be careful not to catch cold."
"Hmm." The more Mia thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. Pregnancy itself comes with a tendency to overthink. She worriedly asked Koa Jackson, "Isn’t it time for another prenatal checkup tomorrow? Thirteen weeks already."
"Yeah, I’ll go with you," Koa Jackson nodded.
While they were talking, Mia Ginger’s phone suddenly rang.
Louis Cox?
She glanced at the caller and was momentarily stunned.
Actually, Louis Cox had called once before; she was in the elevator, and there was no signal.
Louis then went upstairs.
He went to bed intended to sleep but had insomnia.
He felt he wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight if he couldn’t hear her voice, so he called again.
Mia Ginger glanced at Koa Jackson and answered, "Hey."
"Did you get home?" Louis Cox asked.
Mia Ginger was taken aback, then laughed, "You haven’t slept yet? Were you watching TV?"
"Yeah, saw you."
"Hehe." Mia Ginger giggled.
Louis Cox listened to her laugh and suddenly felt very happy, complimenting, "Seems pretty legit."
"Thank you."
"But you should be careful to rest too, isn’t work exhausting, doesn’t Koa Jackson stop you?"
"No. My work is different from normal streamers. Our school has a project with the TV station. There are seven trainee streamers, each only streams once a week, it’s not tiring." Mia Ginger patiently explained.
