Chapter 4: being in the Arcane kingdom

Haruki shyly asked Vila to hug him tightly. Haruki then activated his Camouflage Skill and transferred its effect to Vila and the horse they were riding as well.

They easily passed through the gates into the Kingdom of Arcane using the Camouflage Skill. Haruki went to a secluded place before deactivating the skill and releasing the horse.

Haruki’s goal in this kingdom was to find the protagonist of this novel.

As Haruki walked around, he saw many nobles, as well as poor citizens who were being looked down upon and humiliated by them.

Since Haruki did not want to cause any trouble, he had no choice but to pretend that he had not seen anything. He did not want to get himself involved in another problem.

"Where is he...?" Haruki muttered as he searched for the protagonist of TWBTAT.

Haruki continued searching throughout the kingdom until he eventually spotted a magnificent Academy.

At first, Haruki ignored the Academy, but then he suddenly remembered that the protagonist attended Arcane Academy.

Haruki approached the security guard at the entrance and asked,

"Excuse me, where can I find Philip Charles?"

The security guard looked at Haruki strangely before chasing him away.

Haruki immediately complained to himself. Then, he came up with a ridiculous idea.

He decided to try entering the Academy by climbing over its walls.

Haruki went to the back of the Academy and began climbing the wall.

"Haruki, I think we should just leave," Vila said nervously, afraid that they would be discovered by someone.

Haruki ignored her.

Once he reached the top of the wall, Haruki looked down and saw a large number of female students.

Then, he noticed a sign near one of the dormitories.

’Female Dormitory.’

The female students immediately noticed Haruki.

They panicked after realizing that someone was trying to sneak into the Academy.

Some of them misunderstood the situation and assumed Haruki was a pervert.

One of the girls immediately threw a stone at him, hitting him directly in the face.

Haruki fell from the wall.

"Haruki! Are you alright?" Vila asked worriedly.

"I-I’m f-fine..."

Haruki had no idea what he was supposed to do to enter the Academy and meet Philip Charles.

"Why don’t you just enroll in the Academy?"

"If only it were that easy..."

Haruki paused for a moment.

"Actually... you’re right. You’re pretty smart, Vila! But... how am I supposed to do that?"

The two of them thought for a while, but they still could not find a way to enroll in the Academy.

The security guard would not even let Haruki speak to anyone, let alone enter the Academy to register.

"Vila, do I really look like a criminal?"

"No. You look like a murderer."

Haruki was immediately hurt by her answer.

"So that’s what you call a security guard...?"

"Sorry, I was just joking~"

Haruki decided to wait for someone to leave the Academy so he could ask them how to get inside.

However, hours passed, and no one came out of the Academy.

Eventually, Haruki fell asleep.

Night was approaching when Vila woke him up.

"Haruki, wake up. Someone who looks like a teacher is coming out of the Academy."

Upon hearing that, Haruki immediately jumped to his feet and ran toward the person.

However, before Haruki could reach them, a notification suddenly appeared before his eyes.

[NOTICE]

[YOU WILL AWAKEN TO THE REAL WORLD IN A FEW COUNTS]

"Why now?!"

The person began turning around to face Haruki.

Then, a countdown appeared from the system.

Haruki suddenly woke up from his sleep.

"AGH!!!!! I WAS SO CLOSE!!!"

In frustration, Haruki threw his pillow toward the door.

He then checked his phone again and looked at the latest Chapter of TWBTAT.

As he read it, he realized that the events in the Chapter were exactly the same as what he had experienced in his dream.

Haruki let out a long sigh.

This time, he decided to skip school.

He wanted to investigate TWBTAT and find out who its author really was.

Haruki grabbed his laptop and began researching the novel from the very beginning from the day it was first published to uncover the author’s real identity.

He also looked through theories and discussions from fans about why the novel had suddenly stopped updating without any explanation.

But none of the theories gave Haruki the answer he was looking for.

Then, his phone suddenly rang with a notification.

Haruki picked it up.It was an email.The sender’s address was strange.

’[email protected]’

Curious, Haruki opened the message.

What he saw made his eyes widen in shock.

—Why are you so determined to find out?—

Haruki immediately threw his phone away.

For some reason...He felt like someone was watching him.
