Chapter 5: Register

Haruki was now a little frightened by what was happening to him.

"Why is all of this happening to me? Damn it..."

Haruki picked up his phone again and tried to look at the message. However, when he checked it again, the message had completely disappeared, as if nothing had ever arrived.

Haruki tried refreshing his email, but the result remained the same. The message had disappeared along with the sender’s email address. Haruki then assumed that he must have seen it incorrectly.

Haruki lay down on his bed to calm his mind. He tried opening his system again, but the result was still the same.

[SYSTEM CANNOT BE USED IN THE REAL WORLD]

"Ah, damn it..."

"Wait... I entered that world when I fell asleep, so..."

Haruki immediately decided to sleep so that he could return to that world.

After sleeping for three hours, Haruki opened his eyes and realized that he was still inside his room.

"Damn it!!!"

Haruki no longer knew how he could return to that world. With nothing else to do, he decided to reread TWBTAT.

He started reading from the first Chapter until he reached the Chapter that explained that King Arcane went to sleep exactly at midnight and would wake up at six in the morning.

After reading it again, Haruki suddenly remembered that he would return to the real world once it was six in the morning. He assumed that he could enter that world at midnight.

Now, Haruki simply had to wait until nightfall.

"I kind of regret skipping school."

After that, Haruki spent his time doing various things, such as getting some fresh air in the park, jogging, and taking a short walk around the area.

Eventually, noon arrived, and all the students began heading home.

On his way home, Haruki bumped into one of his classmates, Takeru.

"Eh? Haruki?"

"Damn it... Why did I have to meet him at a time like this?"

Takeru immediately hugged Haruki and told him that he had been worried about him, especially because Haruki had not come to school that day.

"Ah... I just needed some rest."

Takeru then immediately told him to stop studying so much because it could cause him to become stressed.

"No wonder you’re so stupid, Takeru."

Haruki walked away, leaving the noisy Takeru behind.

When Haruki arrived home, he took something out of his pocket.

It was a sleeping pill.

He had only bought one because he did not want to take any risks.

Haruki took a glass of water, opened the packet containing the sleeping pill, and placed the pill in his mouth. He then drank the water so that he could swallow it easily.

Haruki went to his bed and slowly closed his eyes.

As time passed, Haruki eventually fell into a deep sleep, while the sky outside gradually grew darker, marking the arrival of night.

A few hours later, the clock showed 11:59 PM.

Then, the time changed.

12:00 AM.

A notification suddenly appeared from the system, informing Haruki that he would be returning to that world.

[WELCOME BACK, HARUKI]

Haruki opened his eyes and immediately bumped into someone he had chased before.

"Ouch... Wah! I’m sorry!"

"What the hell do you want?!" the slightly older man exclaimed.

Haruki then asked him how he could enroll in the academy.

"Are you a teacher? I want to enroll in this academy!"

"You’ve come to the right person, kid."

"But before that, introduce yourself."

"Honma Haruki! And the girl over there is Vila."

"I want to enroll as a student at this academy."

"What a strange name... But I can see a passion in you that cannot be expressed with words."

"In that case... follow me. And also... you can call me Lukas."

"Nice to meet you, Teacher Lukas."

They entered the academy, with Vila following closely behind Haruki. She was still a little afraid because she was merely a commoner.

Haruki reassured Vila and told her to trust him.

They were taken to a room inside the academy. The academy looked unusually quiet at night.

They were now inside Teacher Lukas’s office, where Lukas handed them the registration forms.

Haruki immediately filled out his form and told Vila to fill hers out as well.

"What makes you so determined to join this academy, kid?" Lukas asked.

"I want to meet someone."

"Who is that person?"

"Philip Charles."

Lukas did not believe what Haruki had said and asked him why he wanted to meet Philip.

Haruki lied and told him that he and Vila were childhood friends of Philip.

"I see... So the two of you were friends with that idiot."

"Very well. Tomorrow, we’ll begin the entrance examination to determine whether the two of you are qualified to enter Arcane Academy."

"I’ll be looking forward to it, Teacher Lukas."

Lukas smiled as he saw the determination in Haruki’s eyes.

And now, Haruki and Vila could only wait for tomorrow’s entrance examination.
