The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 2417: Nathalie: Stop at the Intersection
Sadam Vinson also went in first, and with Mrs. Barness’s help, settled Nicholas Fuller while waiting for Williansen Barness to return from buying medicine...
*
Williansen Barness found a drugstore nearby. There weren’t many people out at ten o’clock at night; he saw only a burly man in the corner looking at medicine inside the drugstore.
The clerk was sitting inside at the counter leisurely munching on melon seeds, her eyes fixed on the computer watching TV dramas, not bothering to look up when someone came in to buy something.
Williansen Barness glanced around the store, made a lap around, casually picked up two boxes of anti-inflammatory medicine, and walked to the counter to pay: "Hello, I’d like to check out."
"Alright." The clerk turned off the TV drama on the computer, got up, ready to help him with the checkout.
Williansen Barness then noticed the gauze and iodine on the counter and casually motioned with his hand to the clerk: "Also, those two items, please pack a bottle for me."
The clerk turned her head to look: "You mean the iodine and gauze?"
The burly man who had been ’looking at medicine’ in the corner raised his head at this point, his gaze sharp as he looked in their direction.
Williansen Barness keenly sensed the gaze from behind; he reacted swiftly, immediately paid using his phone, picked up the anti-inflammatory medicine on the counter, and told the clerk: "I don’t want them, thank you."
He said this, intending to leave with his head down.
However, someone outside moved faster than him.
A blond-haired man came out from around the corner, conveniently blocking the entrance of the drugstore, preventing Williansen Barness from leaving: "Brother, what are you doing buying iodine and gauze late at night? Got a patient at home?"
Williansen Barness’s expression shifted slightly, gripping the anti-inflammatory medicine tightly, looking calmly at the man: "My mom cut her finger while slicing vegetables. Buying iodine and gauze to take home is pretty normal, isn’t it?"
"Hmm."
The blond-haired, chicken nest-haired man snatched the medicine from his hand, glanced at the introduction on the box, then shoved the box back at him, mocking him with a half-smile: "Then explain to me why your mom cutting her finger while slicing needs cephalosporin?"
Williansen Barness’s eyes, dark as pitch, looked at the man, staying completely calm: "I have a cold, the cephalosporin is for me."
The blond chicken nest-haired man half-squinted in his gaze, looking quite dangerous: "Oh?"
Williansen Barness remained composed, reaching for water, extending a hand towards him: "If you don’t believe me, I can take it now to show you."
The blond chicken nest-haired man gave him a deep, penetrating look, a gaze sharp and dangerous. Yet Williansen Barness consistently maintained a calm demeanor, his hand still raised in the air holding the requested medicine gesture...
"Boss?" The burly man who had been in the store from the start walked over, calling out, then stood by the blond chicken nest-haired man’s side, his peripheral glance sweeping over Williansen Barness as he coldly said: "This kid has issues!"
His eyes weren’t blind, of course, he knew the kid had issues!
"..." The blond chicken nest-haired man couldn’t be bothered with him, threw the snatched medicine onto the ground, and slowly crushed it under his toes, then pulled out a knife, pressing it against Williansen Barness’s chest, the man leaning in close, using a rather agreeable tone: "Brother, do me a favor! Tell me, where is the person?"
...
In the car, Nathalie Quinlan had already obtained all the surveillance videos from the intersection where Nicholas Fuller and the others had an incident, along with Nicholas Fuller’s last call record on the phone.
Locating someone for her was easy; within less than a minute, she had already pinpointed Nathan Garland’s location.
"Stop at the intersection." The girl, after finding the location, put away her phone, and said to the person driving in a flat tone.
