Chapter 2438: The Lordon Family and Marco Lordon Paid the Price

The more he incessantly questioned what Nathalie Quinlan had said, the more accurately he stepped on Khendy Lordon’s minefield!

Khendy Lordon had eased up with the Lordon Family over the years only because Nathalie Quinlan’s words, "Fallen leaves return to their roots," had moved him.

The Lordon Family?

He had never held them in regard!

Yet Marco Lordon really thought that the trivial familial ties of the Lordon Family could bind him!

Khendy Lordon stared at his own sickly pale face in the mirror, his eyes covered with a frosty, ruthless chill, and said slowly: "Since you sympathize so much with your childhood friend, then fall into destitution with her."

"I’d also like to see if, when you’re down and out, you still hold the same value in her eyes as you do now."

Mrs. Lordon’s face changed dramatically, snatched Marco Lordon’s phone, and hurriedly apologized to Khendy Lordon: "Khendy, don’t be angry. Your father and I were not aware of this; I will definitely give you an explanation!"

"No need." Khendy Lordon said indifferently: "Tell Richie Lordon to live his own life, I don’t have time now nor will I ever."

"Khendy."

Mrs. Lordon cried out in desperation.

But the call had already ended.

Mrs. Lordon hurriedly called back, immediately discovering that she could no longer reach Khendy Lordon’s phone.

She then switched to the home’s landline phone to call, but the situation was the same; Khendy Lordon seemed to have single-handedly cut off all ways for the Lordon Family to contact him.

Mrs. Lordon had tried every means possible, even had Mr. Lordon, who was out discussing business, try to contact Khendy Lordon.

The outcome was the same for everyone.

Mrs. Lordon finally confirmed Khendy Lordon was serious. Her legs went weak, nearly unable to stand, and she feebly held onto the sofa beside her.

"Grandma." Marco Lordon belatedly reacted, worriedly moving to support her.

Mrs. Lordon, seeing that he still hadn’t realized the severity of the situation, flew into a rage, raising her hand to slap him hard across the face.

A slap echoed through The Lordons’ mansion!

None of the Lordon Family’s servants dared to speak.

Marco Lordon’s hair was disheveled, covering his stinging cheek with his hand, his mind blank, looking up at the furious Mrs. Lordon: "Grandma?"

Mrs. Lordon’s blood pressure spiked, everything swaying before her eyes, and she glared at him, cursing: "Moron! You’re going to ruin the Lordon Family!"

Marco Lordon opened his mouth, unable to understand what he had done wrong, or why everyone was blaming him.

Mrs. Lordon was so angered by him that her blood pressure soared even further, and seeing his grievance only added fuel to the fire. The world went black before her eyes, her body swayed to the left, and then she collapsed softly to the ground.

"Grandma!" Marco Lordon’s face changed drastically, rushing over immediately, shouting to the servants: "Hurry, call the hospital! Prepare the car, prepare the car!"

At this moment, his phone lit up with a call from Zevaney Kingsley.

The Lordon Family was in utter chaos.

Although Marco Lordon caught a glimpse of the call from Zevaney Kingsley, he was truly too exhausted and upset to answer it.

He carried Mrs. Lordon hastily into the car and rushed to the hospital...

Zevaney Kingsley was unbothered by not getting through to Marco Lordon on the phone.

She absentmindedly comforted Effendy Garland, who sat across from her, crying, and watched as Effendy Garland grabbed her hand again, urging her to find someone.

Zevaney Kingsley felt a bit annoyed, subtly removed Effendy Garland’s hand, and softly said: "I’ve already asked a friend to look for Nathalie Quinlan."
