Chapter 2437: Marco Lordon Happens to Return

  • Next Chapter

"Khendy, what happened?" Mrs. Lordon’s eyelid twitched; instinctively she felt Marco Lordon had done something foolish again!

But she had repeatedly warned Marco not to provoke Khendy at such a critical time as Mr. Lordon’s birthday was approaching. Her grandson shouldn’t be causing trouble right now.

Mrs. Lordon tightened her grip on her phone: "Did your brother upset you again?"

There was a sound coming from the hallway.

The servant cheerfully ran over: "Young Master, you’re back? I’ll get your slippers, hand me your coat."

Mrs. Lordon looked up.

Marco had already taken off his trench coat and gave it to the servant, walked to her, and greeted her with a tired expression: "Grandmother, I’m back."

"Marco is back?" Mrs. Lordon hadn’t figured out a plan, when she heard Khendy’s lazy tone coming through the receiver.

Marco also saw Mrs. Lordon’s face didn’t look good, and he asked her considerately: "Grandmother, who are you talking to?"

"Just keep quiet!" The veins on Mrs. Lordon’s neck were popping, she scolded him and forced a slight smile, trying to comfort Khendy: "Khendy, don’t worry, I’ll educate your brother later. You know he’s just simple-minded..."

Khendy ignored her long speech and said indifferently: "Give him the phone."

Mrs. Lordon’s heart was uneasy, and she whispered: "Khendy..."

"I won’t say it a second time." Khendy’s voice was cold as frost, with a tinge of menace.

Mrs. Lordon knew there was no turning back, glared fiercely at Marco, then handed over the phone, filled with anger: "You bastard! It’s your brother’s call, take it."

Marco took the phone from her, somewhat knowing who it was.

He picked it up, his handsome face showing a hint of embarrassment and restraint: "Khendy, sorry. I promised you I wouldn’t go to see Nathalie, but due to certain reasons, I still went to see her."

"But don’t worry, I just chatted with her for a bit and then we parted. She’s already gone back... Did she tell you?"

Mrs. Lordon, hearing he went to see Nathalie, turned pale. She couldn’t say anything because Marco was still on the phone.

But Mrs. Lordon’s heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys were trembling with anger at Marco’s foolish behavior. She never imagined that despite Khendy’s warning to stay away from Nathalie...

Marco still dared to go see her in private.

Marco paused for a moment and even added: "What did Nathalie say to you?"

Mrs. Lordon watched Marco like he was a hopeless case, filled with disappointment.

She realized that Khendy might truly be provoked by Marco this time and was just about to have Marco hand her the phone to speak.

Who knew it was already too late.

"Pfft, it seems the Lordon Family is living too comfortably! You’re living too easy a life, treating my words as nothing." Khendy’s voice was very light: "Marco, don’t think I have any familial ties to you and the Lordon Family?"

Marco, having faced setback after setback today, emphasized with an ugly expression: "I just chatted with her for a bit, didn’t say much."

"Do you really like Zevaney Kingsley?" Khendy completely ignored him and retorted.

Marco fell silent again but took responsibility like a man: "This has nothing to do with her. If Ms. Quinlan is upset, I can apologize to her."

Nathalie never mentioned Marco going to see her, yet Marco always assumed Nathalie complained to Khendy, leading him to suddenly lash out...
