The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter

Chapter 203: Ironhold Fails II

Chapter 203: Ironhold Fails II

But Hugo closed the gap before they could even swing their swords. He grabbed both of them right by the back of their necks and slammed their heads together.

The heavy impact actually dented their steel helmets.

And that brain rattling concussive force was more than enough to make both knights pass out instantly. They dropped to the dirt like sacks of potatoes.

But that brief engagement was enough time for the other four surviving knights to finally react. Their swords were already drawn, and now they desperately slashed Hugo, thinking that maybe they could somehow turn this around.

Hugo did not really bother to dodge the swords completely.

His evasive movements were incredibly minimal. He barely even twisted his torso away. And since he did not actually try to dodge, two steel swords caught him.

The sword sliced right into his arms and ribs but the cuts did not go deep.

And to the horror of the Ironhold soldiers watching, Hugo’s bleeding wounds literally healed and stitched themselves close instantly.

There was absolutely no reaction of pain on his face. Instead, he just looked completely bored.

He ignored pain from the healed cuts and violently kicked one of the knights that just slashed him, sending the man flying backward.

Then he spun around and grabbed another knight’s wrist, the exact hand which was still tightly holding the sword. Hugo just pulled the screaming knight forcefully forward, completely ruining the man’s balance, before brutally driving his elbow straight into the knight’s helmet.

As for the last two knights, they took this brief opening to desperately slash at Hugo once again.

And this time they actually managed to land a solid hit.

One guy left a deep diagonal slash right across his leather chest plate. The second slash from the second guy came whistling straight toward his shoulder, but Hugo just tilted his upper body to the side at a slight angle, and the heavy steel blade just completely missed him by an inch.

But Hugo did not let the guy who cut him get away with it.

The terrified guard tried to pull his sword back for another swing. Hugo just reached out and grabbed the exposed blade with his bare hand. He yanked the weapon straight out of the guy’s grip.

Hugo’s bare palm was sliced open and started bleeding heavily from gripping the sharp edge, but he did not care at all. He just casually tossed it away behind him so that these knights wouldn’t be able to get to the sword so easily.

And then he used that exact same bleeding hand to just violently smack the disarmed knight right on the side of his steel helmet.

He smacked the guy right over the ear. And the heavy hit rattled his brain right through the thick metal helmet. The guard dropped to the ground and stayed down.

The very last knight standing just completely gave up.

He dropped his weapon and fell to the ground, kneeling. He started begging Hugo for his life.

"Please!" the guy sobbed out loud. "Please let me live! I will head back to the capital right now and I will make sure that we never, ever attack you again!"

The knight bowed his head until it touched ground.

"This was a massive mistake!" he cried out. "This was a direct order! This was a strict order from the King! We were forced to do this under threat of treason! We never actually wanted to attack you!"

But Hugo did not even listen to the pathetic excuses.

He just lifted his hfoot up, and stomped down hard right on the begging knight’s head.

It was not a full power, skull-crushing stomp, obviously. Because Hugo just wanted the annoying guy to shut up and go to sleep. The guard’s face hit the ground hard and his body went totally limp.

With the elite knights wiped out, only the seven hundred regular foot soldiers remained in the forest.

And what happened next completely shattered whatever fighting spirit they had left.

The two hundred cloaked assassins just silently walked out from behind the trees. They had been perfectly hiding behind the thick trees the entire time. They just stepped out into the moonlight at the same time, almost like they the same minds.

And they had their magical rifles aimed squarely at the terrified group of soldiers.

Jack stepped forward to the front of the firing line.

"Whoever wishes to submit and work for Lord Adrian," Jack announced loudly. "Walk forward right now, drop your weapons, and kneel down."

"As for those who wish to remain deeply loyal to your current King," Jack offered with a slight smirk on his face. "You can keep standing right where you are."

The soldiers looked around in pure panic.

Almost instantly, out of the entire massive army of seven hundred soldiers, only four men actually walked forward. They dropped their cheap iron swords, walked toward the assassins, and knelt down in the ground.

Jack and the assassins just kept their rifles aimed dead center at the massive crowd of men who refused to kneel. They looked scared, but they weren’t willing to switch teams.

"You guys are very, very loyal." Jack mocked the "It looks like your King does treat you guys incredibly well."

And then, Jack literally just pulled the trigger.

He put a bullet straight through one of the loyal soldiers’ legs.

A sharp crack was heard a fraction of the second later, and then, the soldier screamed and fell to the ground.

Then the other two hundred assassins followed his lead.

A massive volley of bullets ripped right towards the soldiers. Dozens of men hit the ground while screaming and grabbing their bleeding limbs.

The deafening, overlapping cracks of the rifles just continued echoing until every single one of those loyal soldiers was down in the dirt, bleeding and heavily paralyzed by the toxic bullets.

And when the subjugation was completely done, Jack lowered his rifle.
